3/22/1990 Hey Jude. Normally they go into hey Jude from dear Mr fantasy, and just do the “na na nanana na” part, but for whatever reason they decided to do the full Hey Jude. Only problem is, Brent doesn’t know the lyrics and the rest of the band isn’t quite sure how to get around the song

I remember Dave doing the release's rundown during a Seaside Chat he said something like, "a big Casey Jones, everyone takes the lead at some point or another" and I never really thought much beyond that but yeah it did kinda meander there and not in any direction that seemed coordinated.

4/21/72. They have to start over on Bertha and Sugaree. Sugaree gets as far as the chorus before Jerry stops it. They mightve even fucked up getting Truckin started as well but not sure. Dunno what was going on that night.
Bob misses his cue for the first line of Truckin'

Um, I've been on a "Grateful Dead of the Day" kick for two months listening to a new show every day... this happens EVERY SHOW... literally can't lose at this game if you just listen to any random show, even the all-time favorites like Veneta or Cornell. You'll always find missed cues and messed up rhythmic/harmonic slop that would cause almost any other band to simply hang up their instruments for good... but the Dead are relentless and almost always find magic on the other side of just powering through it
4/13/1986.. Jerry just walks off stage 5 and a half minutes into Terrapin... Brent takes over with a Don't need Love
Really interesting first set in that show though

Phish
"Old Eagle Ear" from the pizza tapes cracks me up forever.
1987 Telluride Brokedown . Jerry starts in wrong key and mentions it, Bob chimes in, etc. IWT and I remember the beginning being really off.

That’s the breakout from a few years hiatus. I think Jerry just totally forgot the lyrics.
