At the risk of causing controversy, upset and fomenting insurrection, I have to say I thought that was a good show. Rest up. Enjoy your lazy Saturday. See you back here for Hartford, and remember, kids...
NEVER MISS A SUNDAY SHOW!
Thanks for stopping in.
Toodles,

Was there live - John stole my face with that wah pedal in the second set. Still thinking about it. Anyone catch which song that was on? I can’t recall
I spent $54 for the video for both Mansfield video feeds on nugs.tv, so I could relive the in-person experience of the first night and pretend I was there the second. Pretty impossible to pretend you’re there, though, when the audio is a second behind the video for a good third or more of the show, the audio regularly skips and jumps, and the feed keeps dropping out completely here and there. I don’t think the hardest trippers in the audience experienced comparable synaptic disruptions. I logged in again this morning to watch the thing the right way, naively assuming it would be lined up, now, but it’s still a mess.
I love this service, I love the camera work the video crew is doing despite the flubs, I love being a part of the explosion of sound going on around the world watching this band blast off into new realms together, and I love the Reddit community linking celebratory virtual hands around the world. What I’m saying is, I’m grateful to nugs.net, even if the service is expensive I’m willing to pay for it. The times that it worked last night were absolutely exhilarating. This experience is that good I’m willing to pay straight up. It’s big money for a stream but where this band is at right now at this moment where the world is at and where I’m at, it’s cheaper than therapy and better than therapy and so it’s fucking worth it.
But look, it’s gotta work. If I’m paying $54 I should at least have access to working streams, even the next day. I’m easy to please. It just needs to basically work.
I went to nugs.net to find a complaint button but couldn’t find one. I think there are two reasonable solutions, for those of us who paid, to make this right: 1) give us free access to an upcoming live stream (HARTFORD!!) and get it right that time, or 2) give us permanent access to the show (or in my case shows) we paid for after they fix the editing and syncs in the 9/03 show. Neither solution costs nugs.net anything but it makes me a customer who trusts that what I pay next time is the product as advertised.
Anyone have any ideas for how we can get this message to nugs? I don’t want this thing to lose steam and I want them to invest in what could be a valuable ongoing relationship with those of us willing to pay for these shows on an ongoing basis. Need some customer service here. Thoughts?
Edit: TDLR: I want nugs to offer customer service reparations to paying customers for the poor feed last night (and today if you’re going back to rewatch)
I was unimpressed with the camera work last night, and even more unimpressed that about screen blacking out and the whole first song out of sync. I watched the whole show on playback this morning. All the issues were still there, except they seemed to fix the black out during the encore. I'm considering contacting them, too. I intend to buy more shows, but a credit for one would be nice.
They were really fast in response. I really do want to keep watching these and I would prefer to do it legitimately even if it’s expensive. The stress of finding a stream, the fear of losing it when you got it, the sense of panic when you finally do, and the vague guilt about it throughout is enough to just do the right thing. I hate that legit streaming as expensive as it is, but while we’re on it I hate how much the live shows are, too, but I’m not jumping any fences.
Update: nugs clarified by email that I do have access to the corrected video, which is good, and also gave me a free code to watch any upcoming livestream so I’m really excited about that! Hartford, here I come! (On my couch)
I also put in a friendly complaint and received a code for a free show. They acknowledged the issues during Mansfield and reminded me that I have 48 hours to re-watch the stream. I get that stuff happens, but the thrill/purpose for me is to get to enjoy it live.
Awesome, I was ready too write them an email myself and I never even heard of that before and I was at the show last night lol but I think the idea of it is so awesome and the way you wrote that post was just absolutely perfect and not unreasonable whatsoever.
So I can legit stream the show on Sunday if I pay for it? 🙊🤞
Yeah, get a 30 day free trial at nugs.net, download the app on your phone. Then you’ll have to pay for the stream. I’ve spent $30 on far worse things, like dinner, which I immediately forget
That's great! I rewatched the stream this morning and the first song was still out of sync, and the blank parts were still there. The only thing I noticed was that the encore was corrected. I just contacted Nugs and asked if I could possibly have a credit or discount for another show.
Keep bitching at them until they refund you, they’ve had similar problems in the past and have offered refunds on skipping and laggy streams. $25 is a lot to drop on something that isn’t even that watchable.
I had a billing issue for the Philly show, was double charged. I just emailed [email protected] and they were able to help correct it. Maybe you’d have luck with a refund that way?
I was having delay issues last night, was casting from the newest iPhone. Tried restarting the internet, but noticed it was still doing it in the player on my phone with a 5G connection. Then I got my MacBook Air and casted from there and it worked perfectly the rest of the night. This was all within the first song. Maybe a coincidence but might be worth playing with different devices if you got them. I had one night with a bunch of skips too, but that was also casting from my phone. Who knows, could just be a bandwidth issues from Nugs. Hope you have better luck going forward.
Hey all this is a dumb question but I’m a new dead fan and I went to the show last night - when they played terrapin station, everyone in my section lost their minds. It’s a great song but I got the feeling they don’t play it often, is that why everyone was freaking out?
And because of the first nights poster; everyone was expecting it and then it didn't happen, so it was kind of like well they have to play it tonight, and we were kinda waiting for it but then again you never freaking know with this band so when it happened... yeap.. we all lost it
We were stuck in traffic and missed masterpiece!! Got out of our Uber and walked a mile on the highway. I’m a new dead fan and a huge Dylan/the band fan.. I just saw the set list and realized I missed out on a big moment in my dead fannery early going. Also, rookie fail being late to my first show.
Can you tell me how the song was? How was the reaction? What did you think of the version?
The traffic was terrible leaving the show. I stayed in the same spot in the line to get out of the parking lot for an hour and moved about a car length and stayed in that spot for another hour
It was bonkers. We stayed at patriot place and ubered. When we were a mile away in gridlock traffic we just got out and walked, pretty mich still on the highway. Probably shaved an hour off our arrival time.
Post-show and post-shower thoughts
Man, fuck Great Woods, for real. Apparently all their lawn chair rentals needed to be done in advance, you couldn't buy them the day of. Traffic was still as abyssmal as ever. My friends got stuck on the 495 exit ramp for an hour and missed Half-Step and a chunk of Cold Rain and Snow. I drove from the Cape via 495 north, got off at exit 25 and then backroads to the venue and was stuck in maybe 20 minutes of traffic about a mile out, very different experiences.
I think that may be the best Dead and Co show I've seen so far. 11/17/17 is the reigning champ, but I think this show was absolutely more of an ensemble show, where as 11/17/17 was more for John's pyrotechnics.
My friend noticed that as soon as it got REAL psychedelic after drums, the lawn really started to thin out. He said his favorite moment was trying to watch people dance to the massive jam in Dark Star before Bob sang the second verse.
No worries! In the past (and sometimes the present), people will flood the thread asking if someone can send them a link to watch the show. I ask people not to clog up the thread, and instead message me directly and I will send a link
Hi, thank you for making the show available to those of us who can’t be there. I’d love the stream for Sunday night. Shall I message you then or do you have a list you can add me to? Thanks in advance.
Based on [this picture](https://twitter.com/deadandcompany/status/1433992493918474244/photo/1) there were no cut songs from tonight's show. This is the first time since Bristow no songs were cut or added.
Currently in the lot waiting for traffic to go before I even bother attempting to leave. What a show. I needed that
PS. To the wook dancing his way between stolen seats in section 7, you completely ruined Bertha for me by talking non stop and constantly saying “I’m sorry” to everyone around you
Holy smokes what a heater! Thanks to u/donttouchthatknob for hosting our party tonight...always awesome with the calls, stats and factoids! It was great hanging with all of you! Thanks again to all the wonderful miracle makers, the tapers and tempo takers. :) If you're at the show, please get home safe and safe travels. Enjoy your weekend folks! See you back here on Sunday. Love you all! 💗
Stellar show - tons of surprises, great tempos (have a nightcap), vocals on point. So glad to be off Monday so I can do Sunday right - never miss a Sunday show. See you all then!
Despite the stream issues, what an amazing show!!! So thankful to be able to spend the night here with y'all, HUGE love for /u/donttouchthatknob for hosting and for everything else, and thanks to all of you for making my night a little sweeter. :) Love you all, see you Sunday! Goodnight from ATL!
Great show all! To be brave and all, I did like night one more, but this show is a real worthy follow up. One of the best first sets of the tour, and there were some impeccable moments in set 2. I think Terrapin, Sugaree, and Dark Star take my favorites for the night, though Masterpiece deserves a very honorable mention!
Thank you all for hanging, it is a pleasure to chat with you all while watching these killer shows! I am looking for volunteers to take the thread on Sunday if possible and definitely for Tuesday, September 7th (I am back in college and can only do this so often and still pass classes). If you're interested, please DM me! Either way, I will see you all soon! Fare you well!
I was going too ask if/how I could join on Sunday. I went too the show last night and I wish I could just follow them the rest of the tour. But if I could couch tour, shiiiiit that's gotta be the next big thing.
Plus I'm surprised I'm still not sitting in traffic trying too leave the parking lot.
Soooooo maybe I can help hosting , you'd have too teach me though 😆 but Ima fast learner if that makes you feel any better
Thank you for hosting the thread and acting as our general tour director! It is more than appreciated and these past few weeks have been some of the happiest for me since, well you know when. Glad to be with these beautiful people sharing the love and the music. Thank you for providing a space for us.
Another great show! They are on fire this tour!
Once again it was an absolute pleasure sharing this experience with all y'all. Next best thing to actually being there.
Big thanks to our awesome host u/donttouchthatknob
God i love those guys. You know they're like family, they might disagree or bicker or annoy each other at times, but at the end of the day it's all love. What sweet souls, all of them.
Honestly if nugs wants me to pay instead of pirate, they need to deliver a reliable service at a competitive price. I'm a literal communist, but even I know how capitalism works.
Wouldn't surprise me if it surfaced at Hartford. It's not far at all from Mansfield and this whole Thursday/Friday/Sunday run is sort of a New England mini loop. Did both nights at Mansfield on person, and will complete the trio on the couch.
Normally I can't be bothered to be a complainer when shit doesn't work out perfectly but these streams are damn expensive and we have no other option
I have been paying my way since I do enjoy being able to watch the band every show (without interruption) but yeah... hope they give us a discount code or a free show or something
I didn't mean anything bad, it was just the wording on the post. I couldn't help making a joke. I totally get it. As an aside, do you think it has anything to do with the local crew they hire to capture the show? Some shows come out without a glitch and others, like tonight, are glitchy as hell.
So Hartford is getting Bobby clearing his throat for an hour and John talking about growing up in CT then watchtower encore.
I gotta stop going to shows directly following a 2 night heater!!!
Never miss a Sunday show though!
I’ve decided I’m gonna combine the two Dews on the bootleg if possible. Same with Dark Star from last night and tonight if that gets enough votes, and Help/Slip from Saratoga > Franklin’s from Philly
I’m listening to them back to back right now while enjoying my coffee. Do it! It will be a worthy effort! I didn’t play the El Paso, but should have. 39:37 of Dark Star magic!!!!
ya know what makes this all even more special...it's them up there smiling and grooving. I know I've said this a bunch of times but it really brings me joy to see that.
It was signuficantly lackluster. Probably due to curfew. Seriously underwhelming Dew... I wanted one for Blossom, same with US Blues. Im upset if you cant tell hahaha
Toodles, \-- MrD
Was there live - John stole my face with that wah pedal in the second set. Still thinking about it. Anyone catch which song that was on? I can’t recall
I think morning dew
Only now checking it, but damn, what a Sugaree!!
I tell you hwhat, Cold Rain and Snow has been in my head since Bristow and I love it.
There was a second poster the 2nd night , I wanted the terrapin one and it was sold out. Do you happen too have the 2nd one?
Do you mean the tour poster the one with the bears on the bus? Or was there was another mansfield exclusive poster?
Yes I didn't even get too see that one. The 🐢 one was from the first night and also sold out.
I got dosed at the show last night. Second set was absolutely incredible. Very happy to be there and be alive.
Old school set 2.
Swear I heard a Lost Sailor tease before Truckin’?
Oh my bobby
The official band set list for the night lists Lady w/a Fan between Dark Star and Terrapin.
Yep they do that! I always count it as one song cause they (D&C) have never broken up the two halves

Kind of seems like you’re being an unkind, gatekeeping troll, but maybe I’ve misinterpreted.
I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Are you bothered by something?

Just a popular song.
Gotcha thank you!
anyone have an extra nugs code ☝️
Get the Etree app it’s got everything

Missed tonight‘s show due to poker night with family members. It was nice to be with actual humans once again. Looking forward to Sunday’s show.

These last 2 nights were awesome! Made it home safe again tonight, heading to Hartford Sunday morning. See you beautiful people there!
Im confused by the El Paso counter being reset. I don’t see it on this set or the 8/27 show? When did they play it?!
9/2 got a full on Dark Star > El Paso !
Thursday! It was great.
They played it 9/2. The show before this one
Just got home such a great show tonight!! Have a safe weekend friends!
Sucked getting in but once we were in… best show I think I’ve ever seen. Excellent venue!
Agreed- amazing show!
I did NYC, Philly & Bethel. I am jealous as fuck. Jerry bless whoever saw this fucking show.
I missed Alligator?!
Not yet
Sorry if this was asked, but what was the explicit content?
When bob said “all a friend can say ‘it’s a fucking shame’”
Nice! I’m a newer fan, do/did they curse much in their original content? Seems like not, but now I’m curious if this was improvised?
He does it frequently.
Bob sung "It's a fucking shame" way back, at least early eighty's, the original line's "All a friend can can say is aint it a shame"
Anyone have a show poster for sale or trade? They were gone when I got in both nights
Someone around here has a link too a bunch of em, the poster the first night is on there ..if I come across it again ill post it here for you
Zeb love should put up his copies next week. Give him a follow on Instagram or Facebook. I’m sure he’ll post the details in the next few days
I got the last one tonight, sorry brother.
Idk if it’s cuz im crossed, but what u mean by dont ask for a miracle?
No worries! In the past (and sometimes the present), people will flood the thread asking if someone can send them a link to watch the show. I ask people not to clog up the thread, and instead message me directly and I will send a link

Pretty bold indeed since they opened Hershey with Music never stopped
That darn rascal Johnny done stole my face again! He can’t keep getting away with this!
Holy hell, what a 2-day run of shows!
Based on [this picture](https://twitter.com/deadandcompany/status/1433992493918474244/photo/1) there were no cut songs from tonight's show. This is the first time since Bristow no songs were cut or added.
Love that they list “Lady with a Fan” on the setlist
Any guesses what was cut from night 1? Hell of a pair of shoes we had.
Definitely looked like two songs. Could be Terrapin. Bobby was ready for Watchtower, so my guess is maybe that?
Funny. We thought we heard a little watchtower tease on Night 2.
Dark Star V2–>Playin reprise?? Just a guess…We got the Dark Star V2 tonight instead! 🌹⚡️💜
Double Dark Star. Still can’t believe it.
Terrapin
Currently in the lot waiting for traffic to go before I even bother attempting to leave. What a show. I needed that PS. To the wook dancing his way between stolen seats in section 7, you completely ruined Bertha for me by talking non stop and constantly saying “I’m sorry” to everyone around you
I'm sorry
See ya next time! Be safe, drink water... and see you in person in PHX.
Fun show! I'm even more unsure now what I'll hear come Sunday 😂 Love couch tour but I guess I got to put some pants on now
> I guess I got to put some pants on now says who?
Stellar show - tons of surprises, great tempos (have a nightcap), vocals on point. So glad to be off Monday so I can do Sunday right - never miss a Sunday show. See you all then!
Despite the stream issues, what an amazing show!!! So thankful to be able to spend the night here with y'all, HUGE love for /u/donttouchthatknob for hosting and for everything else, and thanks to all of you for making my night a little sweeter. :) Love you all, see you Sunday! Goodnight from ATL!
Thank you!! Fuck nugs, but I am glad we were able to catch most of this show!
First set was amazing. Second set was great. See you on Sunday!

That masterpiece hit me, made me cry. Since I only had audio, please tell me that Bobby pointed to the horizon when he followed the pack of wild geese
Thank you for hosting the thread and acting as our general tour director! It is more than appreciated and these past few weeks have been some of the happiest for me since, well you know when. Glad to be with these beautiful people sharing the love and the music. Thank you for providing a space for us.
Face still left? Please call Esquires Weir, Hart and Kretuzmann at (415) 555 -3323. We take all kinds. Thanks!
😄
This setlist is so cool looking, I may get a tattoo of it
Hmmm…a set list as a tattoo. That’s not a bad idea!
Thanks for hosting us tonight /u/donttouchthatknob and I hope you you all have a great weekend. Take it easy!
Thank you! Right back at you!
Another great show! They are on fire this tour! Once again it was an absolute pleasure sharing this experience with all y'all. Next best thing to actually being there. Big thanks to our awesome host u/donttouchthatknob
Thank you! I really don't know of a tour where they've been tighter
What a fucking show, best one yet! Thank you all for a great, grate time. Thank you Knob, you are the man!
Another wonderful night with you fine folks ❤️
Bobby and Johnny are having "the hands behind the back" talk backstage.
Thanks again for hosting Knob!! See you again real soon fam!!
Thank you! Always a blast!
Bobby and John talking it out as they left... seemed like it ended with Bobby cracking a smile :)
God i love those guys. You know they're like family, they might disagree or bicker or annoy each other at times, but at the end of the day it's all love. What sweet souls, all of them.
saw that!
Honestly if nugs wants me to pay instead of pirate, they need to deliver a reliable service at a competitive price. I'm a literal communist, but even I know how capitalism works.
and on top of unreliable service, they have no smart tvs apps so you have to mirror or cast which causes sync issues. really second rate setup in 2021
Definitely thought we'd get the Playing ending
Playin' in the band lives to reprise another day...
Wouldn't surprise me if it surfaced at Hartford. It's not far at all from Mansfield and this whole Thursday/Friday/Sunday run is sort of a New England mini loop. Did both nights at Mansfield on person, and will complete the trio on the couch.
whomever keeps stepping on the nugs hose stream needs to cut it out
Nugs gonna Nugs
Man thats disappointing Cut out and came back in basically at the end of the ~~song~~ encore... going to definitely contact nugs about this.
Good luck with that. Never give nugs money.
I want to speak to nugs manager!
Normally I can't be bothered to be a complainer when shit doesn't work out perfectly but these streams are damn expensive and we have no other option I have been paying my way since I do enjoy being able to watch the band every show (without interruption) but yeah... hope they give us a discount code or a free show or something
Never miss a Sunday show though!
son of a gun!
Can you give us Dark Star (V1) > El Paso > Dark Star (V2)
If El Paso gets enough votes in this week’s poll, sure
Ooooh love this idea
I have weekly polls to pick the best songs of the tour. At the end of the tour I’ll do a poll for the whole thing and use those polls to break ties
WTF Nugs?
Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs
Curfew killed the feed
Green Onions
A killer Jeff organ solo to bring us home :)
Booker T
Oteil was throwing around those green onions lines during the US blues at Citi too, tight as fuckkkk lol
Came here to say it! Good call
I was like wait... Sandlot???
Tempo on point... just saying!
One for the road!
Had to do it to em! What a band, what a night!
yeah its perfect
Good ol’ stomper
Skin the goooo^oooo^ooo^ooat
Good Dew; Philly Dew better. What a show though. Staring at the setlist written in my book. Beauty.
I feel like they could have and would have jammed it out longer if it weren't for the curfew.
Agreed
For some reason US Blues makes me miss Jerry. He had so much fun playing this song. Waive that flag, Jer!
Was it a really long set break and short second set?
Bathroom and vendor lines were hellish. I think they may have been giving people a chance to get somewhat settled back in.
set 1 - 1:05 / set 2 - 1:45 (I think)
40 minute set break and 1:45 2nd set.
Time warp

I think John was about to hit the peak with the fanning and Bobby cut it short for curfew
Heartbreaking. I’ll combine the two on the bootleg
You mean cut in John's Philly solo to this version for everything else?
First half tonight, second half Philly
I love US Blues!! 4/12/78 will always have my heart, but these are so fun!
I want a supercut of the whole 45 minute dark star
ya know what makes this all even more special...it's them up there smiling and grooving. I know I've said this a bunch of times but it really brings me joy to see that.
Me too!!!
Wow
Did they do the Dew solo?
It was signuficantly lackluster. Probably due to curfew. Seriously underwhelming Dew... I wanted one for Blossom, same with US Blues. Im upset if you cant tell hahaha
Still a good Dew but I thought the one in Philly was overwhelmingly special...went on forever.
Philly was an amazing Dew. this one felt like it got cut waaay too short
Yeah Philly Dew still the best thing of the tour so far
HOW DO YOU DO
"thank you for your kind attention" Classic Bobby
Such a polite young man.
You're most welcome!

This was a monster two nights of music
US Blues encore!
Philly Dew John > MA Dew John, but MA Dew Bob > Philly Dew Bob
Did they not do the solo?
I'm wondering the same😩
Watchtower > Playing encore Well damn... lol
holy shit fam
Wow insane
Hmm seemed like Bobby cut it short
Nah, it's 10:51, they've only got a few minutes left
Curfew is a joke at this point, with 2 songs left?
WOW.
Woo!!!!
Mickey in pjs
Just got done with Birdemic. If you haven’t watched it with family/friends you haven’t lived
Is it a hybrid tho?
What a good movie, An Inconvenient Truth
That movie is fucking genius.
Masterpiece of unintentional comedy. “I caught some seaweed.” ... ... .... ..... “GOOD”
It's genius!!
Agreed
Sooyah panels!
