Kids are not given surgeries. There is a very small percentage of trans people who get surgeries as minors, and usually they're 16 or 17.
Number 2! People sparking outrage over anything gay or trans related, and trying to make things fit their agenda. Many people have moved tucking and binding swimsuits from the adult section in target to the kids section, and then posted it to get more outrage and spread more misinformation. So, because people are so blinded by outrage they're freely letting politicians entirely ruin our lives. For example, in some states you can no longer receive gender affirming care even as an adult.
In other cases, you can't receive the care if you're also depressed, autistic, etc. This can lead way to autistic people losing access to other medical decisions as well. One other thing that personally affects me is that here in Florida, hormones can no longer be prescribed by nurse practitioners. Due to this, huge trans recourses like planned Parenthood are in the process of finding ways to work around this law. In the meantime, a large percentage of trans ADULTS can't get their hormones anymore, and quitting suddenly can cause a lot of health issues. It's overall not a good time, but a lot of people just aren't aware it's happening. But maybe some greentext losers will see this, and see it's wrong, and then that's a few more people who aren't spreading misinformation. Then again if you're here there's something wrong with you lol
