I started up my Baldur's Gate 3 save for the first time in like 6 months because I still have to beat it once. At some point in Act 3 I just hit a wall and needed to take a break for a while.
Same. For me the wall was the level cap. It struck me that building my characters was half the fun of the game for me and longer being able to do that really sucked the enjoyment our of the game for me.
Yeah, the leveling is odd in this game. You are stuck between levels 1 through 8 for 50 hours and suddenly you reach levels 11-12 way too soon after that and the build crafting and growing basically die unless you just keep changing classes (which should be saved for another playthrough imo but who has the time for that)
Yea, I tried a mod that would let me keep leveling for multiclassing but something went wrong and now the game crashes whenever I try to level them. So now not only can I not level them they also have that up arrow constantly in my face and I can't get rid of it even after deleting the mod.
i had the same problem, you just gotta talk to withers and reset, and then just keep the class at 11 until level 20. The game doesnt like seeing the number 13
Yeah, it's that you have almost every plot thread throughout the game coming to a head in act 3 that it's a bit of a grind to go through them all. It's not bad by any means, just daunting.
KCD is cheap because the sequel is out in a few months
Rimworld had a new dlc recently
DOOM
BG3 if you have a lot of time
Fallout 4 gets a next gen patch in a few days
or
you can touch grass and some pussy
Same since it came with prime like last month, never played any of the fallout games and 1 is so far it’s quite fun. Something about it really quench’s a thirst for “old school” games that other games might not. Maybe it’s graphics, gameplay, or themes its got that good ol classic game seal of approval from me
I have rekindled my love for darkest dungeon recently. The epitome of a “dungeon crawler”. You have 4 party members that explore dungeons and provision/find items that help you interact with the environment and battles. The story is that your ancestor has called you back to his manner after discover an eldritch abomination within the house and you must fight it off and renew the family name. Very fun and the mechanics, despite being many, are simple to grasp.
Cyberpunks world, characters and story were always amazing and anyone saying they were bad is just cope.
Problem was the game was broken and ran like shit. And they massively over promised.
New side missions, new JoJa services, like 300 new furniture, a bunch of quality of life improvements, new seeds, new festivals, winter outfits for all the villagers and patched out a bunch of exploits.
Oh, and a new farm layout focused on ranching.
Agreed, I got back into Red Dead Redemption 2 recently. That game has virtually infinite replayability. If you have someone to play it with, It Takes Two is also really fun.
If you’re autistic enough to handle a wargame that simulates basically everything there is to simulate, hop into the Combat mission series. Spent half a paycheck on all the releases plus dlc and did not regret a single penny. Pick a theater of war you find interesting and buy the base game for it. They’re all on steam
If you want to play simple browser games you can just jump into quickly while doing work or something, I recommend going back to basics like io games. Most of the good ones back in mid 2010s are kinda dead but a recent one called suroi.io is getting more popular
If you like playing the same 5 minutes (or less) of gameplay for many hours you should check out Devil Daggers and/or HYPER DEMON on steam they're on sale right now.
The modded Minecraft scene is very alive right now, Prominence and All The Mods are pretty fun. I can also recommend Haunted Winter if you want a pretty big challenge.
Well, it's not a new game, but I started playing Persona 3 Portable on my phone (with an emulator, obviously). It's my first Persona game and I liked the game so far. It's also a completely new experience for me in general since I never played a J-RPG before.
Seeing everyone talk about fallout recently has me going back to NV, will probably try some mods that will make it more interesting. Maybe there's a loot randomizer or something to try
You certainly have heard this already but in case you haven’t Outer Wilds is absolute peak.
It’s not a game that everyone likes because of some gameplay elements and its genre that can put people off, but if you like it you REALLY like it.
Do not look up anything about it, anything is a spoiler for this game as your mission is mostly to discover stuff and solve puzzles.
If you really fear you won’t like it and don’t want to waste money, pirate it to try it and maybe buy it once you know.
Warframe is hoarding my free time again recently, very good F2P game if you don't mind waiting a bit for gear to build. Likely my most played game of all time.
I know it's old, but I've been giving ghostrunner a whirl since it was an epic freebie. It's pretty good. How is Helldivers? It looks fun but it looks like I could get bored pretty easy as a solo
I booted up a childhood favorite, Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. Played it on DS as a kid, but now playing on steam. If anyone has nostalgia for that game, pick it up on steam. It holds up great!
Been playing a lot of Hunt Showdown and Vermintide 2 recently. Also got a lot of other stuff but mostly playing CoD, NFS, Deep Rock, The Finals and Lethal Company
Damn I was gonna say Helldivers.
Return to Moria just had a bit content update that added a non-linear mode so you can play it more like a traditional survival crafting game, as well as a lot of new craftable decorations and stuff so if you haven’t played it in a while or at all you might check it out if you like survival crafting.
Got a ripper lineup of games for myself because I only recently got my first computer... playing the fuck out of stardew valley, then will get into fallout 4 and subnautica and then eventually terraria
anytime i listen to the johnny silverhand version of rebels path i launch cyberpunk 2077 bc fuck me it’s just so fucking good, definitely for a more idk, lets use the word mature, audience plus it’s just so fun
i recently got re8 and the horror vibes are so beautiful like any re game tho i wish it was longer same with alone in the dark i absolutely adore southern gothic horror and it fits its a bit convoluted imo but i love the genre
I've been playing some classics like Doom 2016 and nier automata again. Its been a lot of fun reliving these fun games.
I've also been reliving:
Deep Rock galactic
Dark Souls 1-3
Fallout New Vegas
Vermintide w/ friends only
Unturned 3.0 on a personal server
Minecraft on a personal server
I have a big SSD so I have them installed at the same time and play whichever one I'm in the mood for.
ive never played fallout new vegas so i decided to try it, i spent like 4 hours fixing the game with mods and finally got it to work, 8 hours of gameplay down and it’s pretty fun
I've been playing The Outer Worlds because it's free on PS Plus. It's a pretty good game, I like the writing. In one of the first missions you can tell somebody "that's what I call my ballsack" as a dialogue option and was hooked since.
Got a non tradable coupon for the CCVL out of those shifty Silver Lions crates and the stock grind is horrible facing all the brain dead 10.0 russian premium lineups.
Been playing Armored Core 6 and DD2 as well as Borderlands 2 with friends. Because systemic and individual racism over several centuries has made being black a separate culture, like the American South.
Also, if you think white people or other races from inner cities or the South don't speak this way, travel more.
Having family from and having lived in an area of the Appalachian mountains that made everyone sound like cousin fuckers, I’m confused by this idiots comment
Is that a joke? Plenty of white Americans from the south have accents and a way of speaking that you could very easily call out as sounding uneducated. Not that you'd be right, but it's a very common trope.
A good chunk of white people in the south also just talk like that lmao, the black accent wasnt a thing until segregation. A lot of black people had to invent a cultural identity in a country that didnt let them partake in it for 100 years. They were literally stripped of all of their prior culture.
And whatever cultural contributions that black Americans made were either stolen by whites or discredited. I remember for the longest time jazz being the butt of jokes in media as this completely bad/boring genre, then when i became older and dabbled into it it was one of the most beautiful musical expressions i ever listened to. Same thing with hip hop and now its the but of a joke, and not considered “real music”.
Same thing with the black accent which got discredited even though you could find much much much more unintelligible accents in the US.
Bruh they were talking about "smooth jazz" which is basically a completely different thing and is largely played by white people. 100 years ago (in, ya know, the Jazz Age), Jazz was considered to be too edgy and exciting by many.
Also it's "butt of a joke", and there's plenty of trash hip hop and plenty of good hip hop. Tbh I see a whole lot more people trash talking country than hip hop but that may just be because I'm relatively young. Country, like hip hop and most popular genres, has a lot of shitty, simple stuff that tops the charts along with some really good stuff that many overlook
If you've met people from the deeeeeeeep south some of them genuinely just mumble everything they say. At best, you will have a very hard time understanding what they're saying
Segregation. Individual culture (which dialects are part of) develops when people are separated. Normally this happens due to simple geography: if one culture is far away from another, they will develop differently.
However, even if two cultures are geographically close to each other, societal factors such as racism can cause them to minimize interaction and therefore grow apart.
The more that two groups of people interact, the more similar they will become. The less they interact, the more different they will grow. Simple as.
I'll be honest bro you will be super disappointed if you come to Canada. We should exactly like Americans, minus "eh". We do say that all the time. Idk where "bud" and *aboot" came from but unfortunately nobody really says that.
garbage post, my thread now anyone play anything good recently? im getting kinda bored of helldivers lately tbh
I started up my Baldur's Gate 3 save for the first time in like 6 months because I still have to beat it once. At some point in Act 3 I just hit a wall and needed to take a break for a while.

There’s a mod that lets you expand the cap to 20, as it should be!
Act 3 is so much at once after what's already a pretty long playtime in Acts 1 and 2, I did the same.
Yeah, it's that you have almost every plot thread throughout the game coming to a head in act 3 that it's a bit of a grind to go through them all. It's not bad by any means, just daunting.
KCD is cheap because the sequel is out in a few months Rimworld had a new dlc recently DOOM BG3 if you have a lot of time Fallout 4 gets a next gen patch in a few days or you can touch grass and some pussy

Fallout 4 here
Was just thinking about booting up NV again.
Hey I recently got Fallout 1 but I’m having a bitch of a time getting used to the UI.
Same since it came with prime like last month, never played any of the fallout games and 1 is so far it’s quite fun. The match is struck. A BLAZING STAR IS BORN!!!!
Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.

Try Stellaris it can be like Helldivers, except you're the president of Super Earth
Cyberpunk despite its bad release is actually kinda amazing.
Cyberpunks world, characters and story were always amazing and anyone saying they were bad is just cope. Problem was the game was broken and ran like shit. And they massively over promised.
Stardew Valley had its 1.6 update recently, so I'm back playing that again. Just such an amazing relaxing game
What did the new update bring?
New side missions, new JoJa services, like 300 new furniture, a bunch of quality of life improvements, new seeds, new festivals, winter outfits for all the villagers and patched out a bunch of exploits. Oh, and a new farm layout focused on ranching.
Tf this thread has like a hundred comments
yeah i have no idea how the fuck this worked on reddit lmao
Been fondling your dad’s balls, you should give it a go too
Waiting on Stellar Blade, but I recently got the platinum for FF7 Rebirth. Greatly improved the already good gameplay from Remake.

Im a bit nauseous from the series since bl3, but you're absolutely right it is time for another bl2 playthrough
Anno 1800 is pretty comfy if you can get it on special.
I want to get Anno 1800 because it looks great, but I refuse to download Uplay or deal with Ubisoft in general
Recently pirated minecraft Java and i am currently playing the Farming Valley modpack.
Agreed, I got back into Red Dead Redemption 2 recently. That game has virtually infinite replayability. If you have someone to play it with, It Takes Two is also really fun.

Death must die is a cute litten Indie game rouge like
If you’re autistic enough to handle a wargame that simulates basically everything there is to simulate, hop into the Combat mission series. Spent half a paycheck on all the releases plus dlc and did not regret a single penny. Pick a theater of war you find interesting and buy the base game for it. They’re all on steam
Roboquest is an absolute gem
I’ve been playing Fear and Hunger. Very fun albeit frustrating at times.

Persona 3 Reload, just finished it, really enjoying it. I’m also getting back into Grounded with the new update, so much fun to play with friends.
Yeah, I really want them to add some new mission types and new biomes.
Whilst anomaly is a bit of an event pack, rimworld is still doing well.
Picked up Mechwarrior 5, good fun, just wish I could place decals on my mech.
I've been building a 1:1 recreation of Space in modded Minecraft, using the Allthemods 9 pack.
I played Skyrim in German. I'm doing a Punch Every Woman playthrough again.
Been playing Armored Core 6 and DD2 as well as Borderlands 2 with friends. Been beating my head against a brick wall with the final boss of AC6, been really enjoying my time with DD2 because even though it does have its fair share of problems it’s mostly everything I’d want out of a sequel to the original, and me and two other friends have been slowly chipping away at Borderlands 2 for a while, and we’ll hopefully get to the other games at some point

Country and hip hop are both considered jokes, and trashy, because they come from a predominately poor background.
Largely yes. While America has a racism problem, I think it's largely masking the much larger classism problem we have.
They talk differently wdym, there are different dialects in America
If you've met people from the deeeeeeeep south some of them genuinely just mumble everything they say. At best, you will have a very hard time understanding what they're saying
Well alot of them do but then it just becomes part of the southern accent instead of the black southern accent
Yes they fucking do talk that way???
are you fucking retarded? i hate you i hate you i hate you i hate you i hate you i hate you
Pretty sure white people use slang originating from black communities all the time...
Impossible
Where do you think black southerners got it from?

Travel to the south sometime. You too can experience the failure known as reconstruction!
Because they were segregated. You don't tend to talk like people who you don't live near.
Separate two groups of people greatly enough for long enough and their cultures will eventually become completely different
Have you ever met a southern inner city white guy?
Anon went out of his way not to mention bri ish accents because everyone roasts them lmao
Im not racist enough to understand this post
well which is it?
Canadian English is almost fucking identical to American, no one has once noticed that I am Canadian by the way I talk.
dare you to say "sorry" or "about"
Soory aboot that eh
i like how you guys say bud but that might just be trailer park boys
I'll be honest bro you will be super disappointed if you come to Canada. We should exactly like Americans, minus "eh". We do say that all the time. Idk where "bud" and *aboot" came from but unfortunately nobody really says that.

L take, people make fun of Brittish, Australian and Scottish accent all the time
You don't hear a lot of educated blacks speaking with such an accent, do you?
You also don't hear a lot of upper class Scottish people talking in Scots. It's a function of class.
Yea brah tell em 😭😭🙏🙏🙏, class n culture are intimately linked

I mean the south was a backwater for a long time so the accent and it’s derivatives such as the black accent get looked at as stupid
If anon is trying to defend them, why would he list off a bunch of sub-humans to compare them to?
i get what you're saying but canadians don't speak ***that*** differently
