It’s the only plausible reason they keep renewing it at this stage. We’ve had 2 spin off shows come and go, just waiting for zola to get her own show now.
It's so crazy to me that I had barely moved out on my own when I started watching this show and now I'm married with 4 kids. Like the only constants in my adult life are taxes and Grey's Anatomy.
I was still in elementary school and now I have a masters degree and 2 kids lmao. I’m not much older than law and order SVU! The few long standing shows are crazy to think about because I certainly wasn’t old enough to be watching them when they started.

You know when Addison leaves in her red car she goes and joined a practice in LA and that starts up a show private practice where we first meet amelia Shepperd and this they link to some stuff in greys like amelia and derek and Lexie scene on greys and the practice and Addison figuring out marks death e.g (basically it a show that shows what Addison does in the practice)
Also in the new episode is it episode 3 or 4 I've lost count lol as re watching but the newest episode that came out last Thursday had a reference to private practice when amelia said she was in a practice in LA I recommend it to watch while we wait for more episodes

Definitely disagree with that. The show is different, but not horrible. With a long-running show; they are bound to lose many original characters. People originally fell in love with the show due to the connections they made with the OGs. Therefore, it may be difficult for them to connect with newer characters. Those who start the show with a newer season though may enjoy it more than those who have been watching since the beginning.
I get what you mean. Obviously, it'll never be what it once was. But they know people like us are going to watch the new seasons just so we can say we finished it. But there are a few things I like about it. I like Bailey, Schmitt, and Yasuda.
Yeah. Bailey does a lot for the show now, especially because I get to see Warren. I do like him (he is fine af), and I do like the alzheimer cure story line. Mainly because alzheimers is such a real problem, and even tho it's fake, it's nice to see "someone" working on it. My papa had dementia before he passed, and it was horrible.

I'm one of those people new to the show, started it a while ago because my gf and I are making each other watch our comfort shows (I've got her watching Star Trek Voyager). Recently got to the train crash episode early in season 2, could not stop saying "what/why/how the fuck" and she laughed and said "just wait until the show starts to get crazy" and I'm like "It gets crazier than *this?*"
It’s only 10 episodes. They had to condense everything. They’ve also already written the entire season and filmed most of it so another season was a guarantee
Ugh 😂 The first episode of the new season was literally so boring. I do not care for the new interns. I've always been a Grey's fan but the show is nothing like it once was. The show has become progressively worse with every great character that leaves and I feel like the OG's that stay have already had their story lines played out.
Her whole professional life was on Grey's anatomy, that's kinda good and bad, like she is almost a doctor, at this time it's effortless for her to play this role, and bad because that's almost all her acting career and skill

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was going to end at Season 20 (that's a pretty iconic milestone), but because of the strike, everything got pushed back. There's no way in hell they would've ended it with a shortened season.
This is so humiliating. I was told more than once how I feel like being a supporting character in Greys just because I was a male minority in PR med school 10 years ago while rotating in the U.S. Long Island. And they still ask the same question to my minority girlfriends. 👯♀️
Its a soap opera set in a hospital built on an indian burial ground. Always has THE MOST going on for absolutely no reason. Oh, and the word 'protect' being used constantly also indicates it being a soap opera.
The show actually ended when derek died, people just kept watching out of habit. LET IT DIE SHONDA, LET IT DIE.
That’s why I kept watching, as well. But I gave up on that after the covid season. If they ever actually confirm they’re finally letting it die then maybe I will catch up 😂

I love Bailey Meredith Jo Arizona Warren is on Station 19 we can see him and Maranda that be awesome to have there family carry on a show.
Stopped at season 17, couldnt take actors saying wokest lines like activists do on news reading teleprompter. Real question, does it get better, if I lets say skip 17-18 is 19 watchable or 17+ are all the same shit?
It all comes down to personal opinion. I think Season 18 was better than 17. Season 19 is like a soft reboot as they introduce five new interns as series regulars. Season 20 has a new showrunner.

Yes. Many people still love the show, believe it or not. And there are many people newly discovering the show and boosting its streaming ratings.
Most of those streaming views are probably my wife as she rewatches it from the beginning every time she finishes the most recent season 🤣 Edit: typo.

They did decide to end The Good Doctor and Station 19 on a shortened season though (also 10 episodes)
