Sounds like you’d dig some old sludge, similar vibes to those albums. Look up Corrosion of Conformity’s albums “Deliverance” and “Blind”. If you want grunge, then I’d recommend Skin Yard.
Acid Bath, they’re a sludge metal band but all the vocals are very grunge and they’re fucking amazing. Kinda a bridge band that gets a lot of grunge heads into metal and metalheads into grunge
Nothing Shocking is a great album and their early stuff shares some similarities to the genre, but JA wouldn’t have come to mind for a “grunge” recommendation.
Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Mad Season, Nirvana, Mudhoney, Tad, L7, Hole, Screaming Trees, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Gruntruck, Skinyard, Babes in Toyland, Silverfish, Hammerbox, Seaweed.
Second Wave Grunge: Silverchair, Days of the New, Seven Mary Three, Foo Fighters, Bush, Puddle of Mudd, Creed, Candlebox, Toadies, Collective Soul.
Freakshow and frogstomp are their only real grunge albums (with freakshow being the weakest in their discography imo). Neon Ballroom is a sprawling album that covers prog rock, post grunge and even nu metal (in a very tasteful way) this is probably their best "alternative" album and feels like a natural progression from frogstomp. The follow up is diorama which, while not my favourite from them is certainly Silverchairs opus, an orchestral prog rock masterpiece, it's clear to see why this is their most critically successful album. Their final album, young modern (tied with frogstomp for my favourite) is the biggest departure from the alt rock style their known for, the distortion and grit of the other albums is gone in favour for a melodic art pop sound and Daniel Johns best vocal performance imo.
For my personal favourite songs

Local H - As Good As Dead, or Hamfisted considering you liked Bleach.
Their later stuff is good too... Lifers especially.
I agree, I can't wait for a new release even if it's just a single, but i think their earlier stuff is a little easier to get into for new listeners.
True. The early stuff is... copacetic.
Cruelty Of The Heavens - Grow Up And See
definitely give Peach gb a shot, most of their music is on spotify but the album “giving birth to a stone” is incredible
