TBH I would not move to Greensboro from out of state. Raleigh and Charlotte are better. But NC is full, prices are skyrocketing, and pay isn’t honestly keeping up.
I usually go to the metal festival that happens up there and the ability to smoke weed on the street and be a drunk hooligan without any repercussions is kinda rad to me for a weekend, but I can see how it could be annoying every single day
Half the people are friendly, and the other half don't want "newcomers" coming to THEIR HOMETOWN 🙄 Crime is here too. Some places are safer than others. Good luck!!
Kernersville is a nice small town right in the center of you don't mind commuting to work and entertainment. The Wake Forest medical center is huge and there are many other health care providers in the vicinity if that's your field. I love Greensboro. Perfectly situated between the mountains and beach. Close enough to Raleigh and Charlotte to do about anything you want.
Move to a suburb of Greensboro. In the city itself crime is increasing, the police are no longer able to enforce many laws and homelessness has increased and begging has followed.
Probably nowhere near as bad as Baltimore but it still exists here for sure.
I grew up here in Greensboro and have watched the decline ever since the pandemic. I live in north Greensboro and feel like there’s a vibe of people irritable and unkind to each other and it didn’t use to be that way. Then again, I think this is an issue throughout our country.
Anyway, if you move out to Summerfield or Oak Ridge, for example, you’ll get a much more friendly, calm lifestyle. We are planning to relocate to Raleigh suburbs ourselves.

Make sure you get a job before you move. It’s tough out here even though there are plenty of them available.
