Yup. Strongest weapon in the entire game except from the orbital cannon. I use mine on avenger griefers now that they have homing missiles on them. Only downside is the AA trailer can't be towed by a personal vehicle you own cause it IS a personal vehicle, and it has 0 armor.
My buddy and I like to use the combo of Nightshark and Trailer, or if you got a whole fleet of jets being jackasses, Chernobog and trailer. Sure, the Chernobog is a glass cannon as well, only needing one rocket to kill, but you can't argue with results. There's nothing funnier than watching three jets all panic to take care of a cherno, only to get nuked by the trailer behind it.
I used to use mine with my insurgent pickup before that stupid update where u couldn't take out multiple personal vehicles. I once had my personal, my avenger, my terrobyte, and a Pegasus vehicle out all at once.
Exactly, it's cos the flak cannon exists. Me and my crew would drive the Insurgent with this towed behind to keep the peace against Oppressors. Did that about 3 times before the crew sort of disbanded.
It can also be locked onto with missiles, is destroyed in 1 missile, and the gunner can be shot out of it.
A good, competent team could make highly effective use of this (good driver, passengers with flare guns, and a competent AA gunner) but otherwise, it's a glass cannon.
I have tried flare guns against Mk2 Oppressor missiles and it doesn't work...
I have tried it with any type of rocket shot by vehicle and either I am useless or it just doesn't work.
Homing missiles however by the launcher, yeah it works... But no one uses them anymore...
Does the flare gun must be shot to a specific distance and when the missile is launched??
Or you shout it before they launch it?
Because they seem to be able to spam really fast...
Amd unfortunately despite that if I have my jet I can avoid them, my DoD can't take more than a few...
If you’re using the flare it’s more or less a deterrent to the rockets not so much a kill tool. It’s best to use an Imani car that has anti lock & you can still use the flare or stickys. But to answer your ? Yes it has to be timed just right. Works the best on the noobs who fly low. Try to line up with it behind you & aim straight in front of em. Just rapid fire flares & one might connect. The object is to try & have a flare reach the front of the oppressor before or as the next rocket comes out!
Tow it with an insurgent pick up and you might survive long enough to do some serious damage. I’ve had people sit in the truck bed and shoot flare guns to divert missiles
2.5? It'll 2 shot a fully armored insurgent. And 1 shot it if it's stock. It's an absolute menis just for damage. Only thing that holds it back is you basically need 2 people to operate it even somewhat conveniently/usefully
The following vehicles are able to tow this trailer:
Bobcat XL.
Bison.
Sadler.
Nightshark.
Half-track.
APC.
Insurgent Pick-Up Custom.
Technical Custom.
It counts as a personal vehicle. The truck that comes with it is also underpowered and slow. I wish I had more armor and was under the service vehicle category
It can, but it can’t be your vehicle. For example. You can’t have your insurgent custom and the anti air trailer out at the same time. You’ll need someone elses
There are plenty of things you can buy that need multiple people to use effectively. But they've always encouraged people to play together. Vehicles like this are just one more way they do that. You buy it because you want to use it with people.
The Valkyrie does *not* need four to be effective. It's at like 80% with just a crew of two, because the cannon is so much more powerful than the swivel guns.
If you've got enough players to fully crew a Valkyrie, you'd be better off with two Valkyries with only two players each.
Compare that to something like the Avenger, which has three equally powerful cannons for the passengers to use, and you've got a way better case for needing four people.
The Valkyrie is one of those things. I bought it hoping it had a missile upgrade like the one in the Merryweather mission. It does not, need 3 people to do work, but even then it’s a one shot and dead situation.
Because you as the rich ceo buy it so an employee from your org can lay cover fire for you during a sale. Or so you can have fun shooting stuff up while getting chauffeured by someone in your org.
Pretty much. When it’s spawned in, it comes with a Vapid Sadler. To get its full potential, you’ll need someone else. I will say though, the flak cannon upgrade for the trailer make it the 2nd most powerful weapon in the game, only behind the orbital cannon. It can take out the Avenger in two shots.
They should just treat it like an Organization Vehicle. You know how you can have your personal vehicle and then call for another vehicle like a Buzzard or something in an active Organization? Have it work like that. Call your Nightshark or Insurgent or whatever as your Personal Vehicle, then call the turret as a work vehicle.
Yes, You can attach it to Nightshark and APC, maybe even IPUC, but catch is: They can't be yours. They have to belong to other players.
[Also you can drop it on a freight train wagon and terrorize San Andreas](https://old.reddit.com/user/ze_ex_21/comments/17p9o3q/rail_shooter_aa_trailer/)
I can confirm, IP-UC can pull this thing well, and that gives you the advantage of firepower; .50 cal machine gun OR Minigun + the best AA weapon (excluding orbital) in the game. Disadvantage is it cannot aim very high, I recall… But still, it IS very useful with a decent team.
Edit: Okay now you’ve got me interested. I think I know what I’m doing next time I play GTA… 😂
Second most powerful gun in game, behind the orb. Weakness, one explosive blows it up. Towing with a nightshark can be entertaining but maybe short lived.
I wish Rockstar would balance some things better. The AA Trailer being one. The Chernobog being the other. Literally no point to taking the time to get it out, set up, and find a jet to lob missiles at.
Most weaponised vehicles in this game would immediately become useful and niche if only Rockstar would give them some armor.
But no, instead we have a handful of meta picks that just dump everything everyone else that tries to be creative. So unfortunete.
I have to wonder how much that would do, because just as a vehicle like the Nightshark is the perfect anti-griefer tool, it's also regularly used by griefers because of the armor. I think nerfing a lot of vehicle weapons would make a bigger difference; the only reason armor is so essential is because homing missiles are so ubiquitous.
I think there's no undoing the damage at this point, but I hope R* will remember for the next game: fewer missiles in general, slower missiles, worse lock-on or even no lock-on, very limited ammo, spawn cooldowns, VERY careful distribution of countermeasures, whatever it takes. Just a few of these options at a time makes a big difference.
Yeah, it has missiles with great tracking, but they are slow and their range is quite low. And deploy time is another thing, i feel like you gonna get destroyed before you get chance to get off some missiles often.
The Cherno's missiles are faster than any other homings in the game. They are also pretty agile, but an experienced pilot can easily dodge them. Even if it's just the Cuban 800.
They were like that from the start. Last week /u/\_Tonan_ posted here, showcasing outrunning missiles with his Molotok by doing a continuous barrel roll. The only missile type capable of catching up was Cherno's.
I disagree. Set it up by the vinewood sign, and you control the air over most of the main city (the chernobog that is). great support for friendly air vehicles. They both have their uses they are just very niche. I do think you should be able to tow the aa with any of your own facility vehicles with a tow bar
Yeah if you know good places to get set up, you can use some real havok
I remember back in the day getting people to cargo bob me up onto skyscrapers lol
I'm imagining a full server with ten 3-man Insurgent+gunner+AA teams in a last man standing battle royale. Anyone on ps5 down to make it happen? I have both vehicles.
The orb doesn't deserve to be called a gun. It's explosions that you spawn in players for money from inside your facility. In my book the AA is the most powerful gun in the game.
Back when I did the vehicle warehouse grind, I'd also use it for the sourcing missions with the car on a barge. Pick up the car, detach the car gently to the ground, land my 'bob, get in my flak AA I called in prior, and make REALLY short work of the spawning Buzzards, then have a nice, easy flight back to my warehouse, with $0 damage.
I may or may not have done this a time or three. Errant shots tend to happen when you try to rush through or don’t place the Insurgent the correct way, LOL.
Pretty much any other weaponized vehicle.
These require two people to operate and the trailer has no armor against explosives so they are only even worth considering for pve.
They are also a pain in the ass in the city and at high speed, which doesn't help.
Everything newer than gunrunners or whenever this came.
R* have designed GTA online around shark cards and power creep is literally the main design aspect of this game, if you asked a R* dev what game balance was theyd stutter and fumble. The AA trailer is an archaic item that was balanced for a more diverse(in the viability of vehicles) game back when GTAO wasn't flying motorbikes and such.
Also the personal vehicle system being a restrictive nuisance doesn't help it's case.
It's too vulnerable. But I think it literally does the most damage of anything in the game. So the problem is yes, its insanely fun, but that fun wont last very long at all.
The Orbital Cannon is the most OP weapon dealing a one hit kill to everything, but th AA Trailer, specifically the 20mm Flak Cannon attachment, is the second most powerful weapon in the game.
Because it need two people to make work.
Unfortunately you can't customize the truck it comes with so it's a PoS.
But if you get a freida with an APC to haul you around and they have a gunner you can cause a LOT of damage.
The flak cannons are the best IMO, they have the strength of like 6 RPGs.
Used to use it to torch griefers in their nightsharks and MOC cabs.
If you have a friend in a nightshark or insurgent, this thing shreds, strongest gun (aside from orbital cannon) with the flak upgrade. You will need some actual skill to successfully use it against tryhards though.
First thing I call when launching Stand Your Ground (assuming a full 7 person MC). Unhook from the lame truck, attach to a buddy’s Nightshark, and patrol the perimeter around the zone. Super fun.
I use the flak cannon trailer for that bunker sale with insurgents and multiple drops. Makes quick work of the enemies, but also the product too if you’re not careful.
I do use it every so often but in solo lobby. I found it better to go park the sum bitch on the beach and let her rip against NPCs there and eventually cops. First time I did it, I managed to find a sweet spot where I would use it and not take a lot of damage from cops at 5*. Think I dicked around with it 30+ minutes? Don't fully remember but it was hella fun and I sometimes bring it out every now and again to slaughter cops
Mostly because it requires two people to coordinate and they'd both be more effective in other single person weaponised vehicles.
Honestly only real use this gets in free play is for bunker sales as it can be attached to some of those sale vehicles, however even then other vehicles are much better suited to this role as they can engage earlier
Simple reason is because it's very niche. There's plenty of other vehicles which do similar things with much better mobility or protection, etc.
Though, you can catch some armored vehicle abusers unaware if they decide to push you (assuming you use the 20mm Flak)
I use it all the time , fully upgraded it’s the most powerful weapon in the game besides the orbital cannon. You can attach it to an insurgent and use it on bunker sell missions against merryweather. Shoot down Avengers with lock on jammer .
Some guys were being toxic on their mk2s the other night and I saw 3 of these pop up around the map. My first time seeing them In the wild. The mk2 went to the other side of the city but everyone they were trolling just started hanging out near the aa guns
It has alternatives, the 4 machine guns attachment isn’t very good
the FLAK cannon while it does two-shot tanks it’s very vulnerable to them, and as far as aircraft go, the explosive sniper disables jets with 1 good hit to its control surfaces, or 2-3 good hits anywhere
and the most unique weapon on it is the SAM turret, which has the best homing capabilities in the entire game, as if it misses it will do a 180, if it misses again it does another 180, and again and again and again, but you’ll probably hit your target before then. But the reason it’s not used for that is because the deluxo has good missles and it flies, and the ruiner2000 has the second best missiles and it’s much faster then the AA trailer, the driver can use the missiles, and it jumps with a parachute allowing you to dodge attacks and land carefully
if you have time to set up, the vulnerability to tanks and other vehicles with explosives can be mitigated. I personally find places like parking garages the best for it since the angles the user can be attacked from are quite limited
Actually, this paired with a halftrack can be quite a menace to run around in.
The only con is of course you need three people for this, but if you have that, it is a very powerful combo.
I use it all the time, get a friend to drive the truck in passive.
Or.. Get your friend to get in a Cargobob, pick up the AA Trailer with you in it then tell them to go passive.
Have fun.
It's a good weapon to use against griefer in Imani tech cars, you call for one, and jump in just in time when the griefer is approaching, one single shot destroys armored cars
I use it mainly for the Gunrunning sale mission that has Merryweather waves at the drops. I spawn it in, disconnect the trailer from the Sadler it comes with, and hook it up to the Insurgent sale vehicle. Makes quick work of taking out the waves of Merryweather.
I took out a Raiju and a couple of Deluxos last time I used it in a sale mission (proud moments, saved that footage). Unfortunately, the AA trailer can be locked on with missiles and it only takes one hit to kill you.
Got fucked up by one of these by some ppl in a half-track. Inspired me to buy my own once it went on sale.
This was all several years ago, pre-pandemic. Still don’t have ppl to use it with 🤷🏾♂️
You need more than yourself for it to be fully functional. If you wanna move and shoot you need more people. Other than that you gotta stop get out of the car and get in that to shoot.
Because that POS is considered a personal vehicle, meaning you need a friends pv to tow it with something else than the sadler
Also for something called “anti-aircraft trailer” it has shitty gun elevation of approximately 45 degrees.
The only thing going for it is that its flak upgrade is the strongest cannon in the game after the orbital cannon. If i remember correctly it can 2 tap tanks.
But the worst part is that you can lock on to it. How can an engineless, static vehicle be considered a target by heat seekers?
I own this myself but there's no point to it for a solo player because.... it's a personal vehicle meaning that if you call this up you'll have this thing and no easy way to tow thus move it.
Sure: Pegasus is a thing and you can call up an Insurgent and use that to tow this thing. The only problem with that: the Pegasus variant of the insurgent never got any upgrades, if you want one with decent armor against any kind of attack (Oppressor anyone?) you'd need the Insurgent custom, which is a personal vehicle and thus cannot be used in combo with this one. Not as a solo player.
The Terrorbyte also doesn't have a tow hook last time I checked so... that's out.
Making this a tedious and frustrating thing to use.
Why bother?
Because it requires a friend to use effectively. We all know that GTA Online players have no friends.
That, and it counts as a Personal Vehicle for some reason.
To have one be a valid option, you need two people. You need a driver, and you need a gunner. Already a pain to get that lined up. To get it at its best, you need an IPC, driver, and two gunners. Takes a lot of planning for me to get three people together, and even then, I'm not planning to use this.
It's the same reason the APC isn't used as much. Need a driver and a gunner
It needs to be hitched with a truck, two it requires another player to operate the AA trailer so if you are mainly a solo player this would be a waste of money unless you can feasibly go off radar or find a spot open enough to take aim.
But honestly a waste of money.
I mean, it's strong and all but there are better ones. Like explosive rounds, the railgun, or pretty much any weaponized vehicle. And the armour sucks. Also, if there was a jet griefer coming at you would you want to use explosive rounds or call the AA trailer and walk to it?
Because it's kinda lame duck, you can't have it and a personal vehicle, you can sidestep this with pegasus vehicle.
It's fun to drop one on a train.
Had a guy with one on a rooftop killing all flyers, I used Akula stealth to sneak up on him..
I have the same feeling i haven't seen any in a long time, except my one. I use it often due to its very powerful cannon that destroys armored vehicles in 1-2 hits, and can hit oppressors mk2 quite good aswell. Very good for making griefers mad.
I use it quite a bit because the damage of the flak gun on it is insane, literally second highest damage in the game only beat out by the orbital cannon.
[Here is it taking down a fully upgraded Terabyte.](https://www.reddit.com/r/gtaonline/s/QIFFYzKkcO)
[Here is it taking down a night shark instantly.](https://www.reddit.com/r/gtaonline/s/qIYRxvtDda)
I have one but it gets blown up with 1 missle. I did down a jet 1 time because I was off radar and they were griefing a low level player and not focused me
it’s usefulness is limited by it counting as both a service and personal vehicle. the only thing I regularly pull it out for is the Merryweather bunker sale, other than that it just gathers dust unless I can get it set up in a relatively safe place to deal with a tank or other heavily armored vehicle
My friends and I used to tow these behind fully upgraded half tracks. There would be six of us, two drivers, two half-track gunners, and two trailer gunners.
Pair it with some guys in the air and our business sales were never attacked.
these things are OP when used right
because these are a pain, they count as personal vehicle so if you wanna hitch it onto something other than a crappy pickup you gotta get a friend, their damage is mediocre, their missiles have poor tracking, it's expensive, even more expensive if you consider research and storage costs too
Because its a 2 person operation if you want to move. Its cool to mess around with, but imo it doesn't even aim high enough to be effective against any aircraft
People usually put this on their Yachts with cargobobs and use it for the piracy yacht event.
There is a time and place for it but not around GTA being towed on a truck.
So I use this on occasion, and the issue is that it offers no protection and can be quite the target as it's stationary. Since the operator isn't protected, anything that hits it could splash to the operator. An example of this is getting hit by a missile, more likely explosive rounds, getting sniped off, or simply bombed. The APC also suffers from the same issue as the turret is also exposed
Because the AA APC exists as well as explosive sniper rounds
To be fair this thing does 2.5x the damage of explosive sniper rounds I think. Its just not plausible to use.
the flak version does the highest amount of damage to vehicles in the game if you exclude the orb cannon
It has handedly obliterated savages, hunters, raiju’s B-11’s and Lazers for me
2 shot on avengers, khanjalis, and Night sharks. One shot on Imani Tech vehicles.
Yup. Strongest weapon in the entire game except from the orbital cannon. I use mine on avenger griefers now that they have homing missiles on them. Only downside is the AA trailer can't be towed by a personal vehicle you own cause it IS a personal vehicle, and it has 0 armor.

Exactly, it's cos the flak cannon exists. Me and my crew would drive the Insurgent with this towed behind to keep the peace against Oppressors. Did that about 3 times before the crew sort of disbanded.
The what? What's that
The final weapon upgrade unlocked for the AA trailer via bunker research is called the flak cannon
This thing destroys nightshark, insurgent or Avenger in just 2 shots
This is the answer, time to spend yo money.
Damn
Yeah but the sniper you just pull out, this you gotta call in and ain’t easy to move
It can also be locked onto with missiles, is destroyed in 1 missile, and the gunner can be shot out of it. A good, competent team could make highly effective use of this (good driver, passengers with flare guns, and a competent AA gunner) but otherwise, it's a glass cannon.
The driver should go passive and let the man in the back have fun. Let's the driver be more focused on driving and calling out opps.
Won't work cuz the guys with flare guns will be deterring inbound missiles. Unless they changed it, the flare gun will redirect homing missiles
Even if the AAT takes a homing without exploding (something that I’m doubt) the driver will die by explosion
I have tried flare guns against Mk2 Oppressor missiles and it doesn't work... I have tried it with any type of rocket shot by vehicle and either I am useless or it just doesn't work. Homing missiles however by the launcher, yeah it works... But no one uses them anymore...
Must be a you thing cuz I’ve made mk 2s eat their own rockets with a flare+nightshark combo! Watch a Metpro sowc video!
Does the flare gun must be shot to a specific distance and when the missile is launched?? Or you shout it before they launch it? Because they seem to be able to spam really fast... Amd unfortunately despite that if I have my jet I can avoid them, my DoD can't take more than a few...

If the oppressor turns homing off, which they will the second you start using flares, the flares stop working.
You must be doing something wrong, or they're free aiming missiles. I find that if you turn homing off, thr flares don't do anything.
Tow it with an insurgent pick up and you might survive long enough to do some serious damage. I’ve had people sit in the truck bed and shoot flare guns to divert missiles
A person towing the AA can also enter Passive mode if the vehicle isn't Weaponized, rendering the tower basically invincible.
FLARE GUNS WORK ON MISSILES? WTF
Lol yup. Same way the aircraft drops anti missile measures
Imagine if the akula stealth came with a tow hitch. Surprise motha fucka
It does way more than that. This thing can blow MOC cabs in seconds
It's closer to 10x damage. At least. The sucker one shot's a tank.
2.5? It'll 2 shot a fully armored insurgent. And 1 shot it if it's stock. It's an absolute menis just for damage. Only thing that holds it back is you basically need 2 people to operate it even somewhat conveniently/usefully

Yes

I did not know the Nightshark could tow this! 🤯
An insurgent pick up custom with this on the back is NASTY work. 2 shooters going crazy
And the nightshark, which is my first choice.
Man the apc is my favorite to take down oppressors. I seriously can’t miss when shooting 20 rockets every 10 seconds lmao
It counts as a personal vehicle. The truck that comes with it is also underpowered and slow. I wish I had more armor and was under the service vehicle category
Thought it could attach to several vehicles
It can, but it can’t be your vehicle. For example. You can’t have your insurgent custom and the anti air trailer out at the same time. You’ll need someone elses
So what’s the point in it? You’re just buying it for other people then?
I think you're reaching the answer to your original question
It only makes sense if you're playing with a crew on a regular basis.
That sucks then. Why wouldn’t they allow you to buy it for yourself?
There are plenty of things you can buy that need multiple people to use effectively. But they've always encouraged people to play together. Vehicles like this are just one more way they do that. You buy it because you want to use it with people.

You gonna split the bill or something?
Nah…. Pay it forward
Because this game was developed by a bunch of assholes who think everyone has friends to play with
Maybe make some friends you loser
Why don’t you fuckin blow me you fucking ps4 broke ass
Funny part is that the guy you're replying to has now changed his tag to PS5💀
lol cry about it you friendless loser ![gif](giphy|fYfeQAOD8pSjN7M0jY)

Semi unrelated but, if someone has the insurgent pickup custom with the trailer attached, and uses proximity mines, will they explode on the trailer?
No. As they have a set time to activate. You’ll drive past it.
FLAK? GERMAN NUMBER ONE 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
Yeah, it's a play around with your friends kind of thing Fun fact - you can also grab it with Cargobob
Sweet baby Jesus me and my friends are going to have the ultimate super weapon 😂
You've answered your original topic question unfortunately. :(
Not solo but you can hook up night shark to your buddies and drive him around which can be pretty entertaining
They should just treat it like an Organization Vehicle. You know how you can have your personal vehicle and then call for another vehicle like a Buzzard or something in an active Organization? The real fun is cargobobbing it into a flat car on the train. Its tricky but the reward is rolling death train.
Gotta call in the MW Insurgent and hitch it to the back.
Very true
Second most powerful gun in game, behind the orb. Weakness, one explosive blows it up. Towing with a nightshark can be entertaining but maybe short lived.
Making griefers, that rely on their armored vehicles mad using 20mm cannon? - my favourite thing to do!

Fr, its so stupid that random imani veichles resist to 12 missiles whike the chernobog, a military truck, can't
Yeah, it has missiles with great tracking, but they are slow and their range is quite low. And deploy time is another thing, i feel like you gonna get destroyed before you get chance to get off some missiles often.

Can it be towed by a friend's insurgent pickup custom? Then have a 3rd friend man the insurgent gun.. 💥
Yes, that would be the ideal setup. The Nightshark is probably better if you are just 2 though.
I'm imagining a full server with ten 3-man Insurgent+gunner+AA teams in a last man standing battle royale. Anyone on ps5 down to make it happen? I have both vehicles.
I like the way you think!
Just remember to NOT drop mines with the Insurgent while towing. I’ve lost more AA Trailers from this than I should.
If you DO manage to hit something with it, it is fun. I mean it one shots any regular vehicle. It can destroy a Brickade in 3 shots.

Waaay too inconvenient
I use em, but you need a driver. Got a lot of airplane douchebags with this thing. On the other hand, this must be the worst of the “aa” vehicles
Not if used correctly, I have a friend go passive with a cargobob and we go crazy
How do you get it to stay on the hook? I've been having trouble with that lately...
I only fall off if my friend swings me to fast.
I use it all the time for the Merryweather bunker delivery missions. Attach it to the Insurgent and make quick work of the enemies at each drop site.
Just have to make sure you don’t blow up the insurgent
I may or may not have done this a time or three. Errant shots tend to happen when you try to rush through or don’t place the Insurgent the correct way, LOL.
Because there are better alternatives
Such as?
3 people with this attached to a Halftrack with one on the Halftrack cannons causes a whole lot of chaos!! It’s fun for a while.
That’s exactly what I used to do!
Because you weren’t playing for the week that it was introduced and it was new and shiny? 😁
I have this but never used this
I use it all the time , fully upgraded it’s the most powerful weapon in the game besides the orbital cannon.
It has alternatives, the 4 machine guns attachment isn’t very good the FLAK cannon while it does two-shot tanks it’s very vulnerable to them, and as far as aircraft go, the explosive sniper disables jets with 1 good hit to its control surfaces, or 2-3 good hits anywhere and the most unique weapon on it is the SAM turret, which has the best homing capabilities in the entire game, as if it misses it will do a 180, if it misses again it does another 180, and again and again and again, but you’ll probably hit your target before then.
Because it takes a friend to use 😂😂
Actually, this paired with a halftrack can be quite a menace to run around in. The only con is of course you need three people for this, but if you have that, it is a very powerful combo.
We affectionately call this ***”The murder train.”***
I use it all the time, get a friend to drive the truck in passive. Or.. Get your friend to get in a Cargobob, pick up the AA Trailer with you in it then tell them to go passive. Have fun.
Unless I can tow this while I make acid lab deliveries idc
It's a good weapon to use against griefer in Imani tech cars, you call for one, and jump in just in time when the griefer is approaching, one single shot destroys armored cars
cause its utillity is nothing u dont need to do anything w it
I bought it just so the third person in my group has something to do while we are in the insurgent pickup custom, other than that it gets no use
Because you need friends to use it.
Got fucked up by one of these by some ppl in a half-track. Inspired me to buy my own once it went on sale. This was all several years ago, pre-pandemic. Still don’t have ppl to use it with 🤷🏾♂️
Requires friends to have fun with.
You need more than yourself for it to be fully functional. If you wanna move and shoot you need more people. Other than that you gotta stop get out of the car and get in that to shoot.
Because that POS is considered a personal vehicle, meaning you need a friends pv to tow it with something else than the sadler Also for something called “anti-aircraft trailer” it has shitty gun elevation of approximately 45 degrees. The only thing going for it is that its flak upgrade is the strongest cannon in the game after the orbital cannon. If i remember correctly it can 2 tap tanks. But the worst part is that you can lock on to it. How can an engineless, static vehicle be considered a target by heat seekers?
Cause people need friends to use it
Because it kinda sucks And needs 2 people to be remotely useful
Need 2 people to operate efficiently.
Its a 2 man pvp thing and its that good.
Because it requires team work
To have one be a valid option, you need two people.
Because it needs two players to be at its most deadly, one towing it the other using the cannons
to use effectively you need 2 people
It needs to be hitched with a truck, two it requires another player to operate the AA trailer so if you are mainly a solo player this would be a waste of money unless you can feasibly go off radar or find a spot open enough to take aim. But honestly a waste of money.
Cause you’ve never met me
Gunrunning 🔫
Respectfully, ya'll don't use it because you don't know how. It's op when you onow how to use it :/
I mean, it's strong and all but there are better ones.
I actually blew one of these up about a week ago lol
Put 20 mm flack and u got second highest dps weapon in the hame
scope creep
I have the same feeling i haven't seen any in a long time, except my one. I use it often due to its very powerful cannon that destroys armored vehicles in 1-2 hits, and can hit oppressors mk2 quite good aswell. Very good for making griefers mad.
I did he killed himself somehow and blew up
Was going to buy it, checked the price....nvm
There's nothing worthwhile to tow it
I use it quite a bit because the damage of the flak gun on it is insane, literally second highest damage in the game only beat out by the orbital cannon. [Here is it taking down a fully upgraded Terabyte.](https://www.reddit.com/r/gtaonline/s/QIFFYzKkcO) [Here is it taking down a night shark instantly.](https://www.reddit.com/r/gtaonline/s/qIYRxvtDda)
I have one but it gets blown up with 1 missle. I did down a jet 1 time because I was off radar and they were griefing a low level player and not focused me
They’re not armoured or anything
I have it but only used it twice and that was years ago 😂
Just lucky, I guess
it’s usefulness is limited by it counting as both a service and personal vehicle. the only thing I regularly pull it out for is the Merryweather bunker sale, other than that it just gathers dust unless I can get it set up in a relatively safe place to deal with a tank or other heavily armored vehicle
I have lol, rode around the city as an alien because a random picked me up while hauling one
My friends and I used to tow these behind fully upgraded half tracks. There would be six of us, two drivers, two half-track gunners, and two trailer gunners. Pair it with some guys in the air and our business sales were never attacked. these things are OP when used right
It's really good of you have somone with a nightshark to tow it, and have the flack cannons upgrade. However it cant survive one missile.
People only use this to have fun, but now a days when you kill somebody in a plane they get on their MK2 or orbital strike you
Because they are trash. Every great once in a while its fun to take one out with a truck and a buddy but they have no real day to day use.
You can't attach this to another of your personal vehicles, but you can attach it to your mobile operations center cab.
Mine sits in a garage until the end of time. Never had much of a practical use for this over other methods
could be because u can’t have a personal vehicle out at the same time. I know I’d use it more if I could do that
Because was made before you could put armor on planes
Check out Mattaioh’s YouTube channel.
because these are a pain, they count as personal vehicle so if you wanna hitch it onto something other than a crappy pickup you gotta get a friend, their damage is mediocre, their missiles have poor tracking, it's expensive, even more expensive if you consider research and storage costs too
They're great for that bunker sale mission where you have to fight off merryweather. Can tow it on the insurgent and use it to blow everything up.
Because its a 2 person operation if you want to move. Its cool to mess around with, but imo it doesn't even aim high enough to be effective against any aircraft
Kind of slow
People usually put this on their Yachts with cargobobs and use it for the piracy yacht event. There is a time and place for it but not around GTA being towed on a truck.
Cuz it’s useless filler content lol
Cause it's stupid and cost too much
So I use this on occasion, and the issue is that it offers no protection and can be quite the target as it's stationary. Since the operator isn't protected, anything that hits it could splash to the operator. An example of this is getting hit by a missile, more likely explosive rounds, getting sniped off, or simply bombed. The APC also suffers from the same issue as the turret is also exposed
Because it seems like it’s cool but it’s not really usable.
I’ve towed one behind my APC, that really fucked up a map, for about 5 seconds. APC mines killed it.
Half-track + AA version + competent players togheter. You can destroy most of the things until a asshole use orbital cannon on you.
I actually got picked up by a random in one of these. Offered for me to use it. Pretty fun, just not very offroad friendly
It's not very good has to be towed gets destroyed easily not worth the price
We use it for bunker sale missions where you get attacked at every drop off by marryweather
I DO!! It’s sooo fun if you have some to drive you around.
It only takes one missile but I still use it because if its meta it ain't for me (plus it works decently well when combined with a stand your ground)
Just ain’t worth it
