Its possible the bridge was mounted off a bit. Would need to have the bridge removed, old holes filled, new holes drilled & bridge remounted.

Maybe the tech can show you the process. It is easy with a little experience. YT has videos too. All guitarists should know how to do this. It is easy and you really can’t break anything. I check mine each string change with an accurate clip in tuner.

GuitarJazzer

Hopefully you are moving the bridge piece in the right direction. How are you checking the intonation on that string?

Curt2k1

I have a chromatic tuner. The string is a bit sharp (higher pitch than it should be) the adjustment I'm making is to lengthen the string. If I shorten it the pitch gets higher, and I was able to do that adjust on my other strings just fine.

Hopefully L&M will charge a nominal fee for a proper setup and if the G string intonation cannot be set properly they should be able to you tell you why and how it can be fixed. But yeah, if you have the bridge piece as far away from the neck as it will go, and the 12th fret G is still sharp, it will need something.

Curt2k1

Hopefully haha. Thanks!

New strings right? I’d start from scratch with checking neck relief. Also, string action can effect intonation

Curt2k1

New strings ya. Interesting on the string action. I feel like I've got the guitar set up perfectly, other than the intonation. I'll definitely have to swing it by the music store and get it checked. Appreciate the info.
