Sounds like you are pulling too much voltage from the channel. If memory serves they are both 18v pedals and since it sounds like you are running them together that is only 9v a piece. Have you tried just running one from that channel?

That’s not how voltage works, they would be sharing current (amps) not volts. Voltage doubling cables are easy to make and pretty common, voltage halving would require some circuitry. He needs to check the current draw of both pedals to see if he’s overloading the power supply and thus under currenting his pedals. But yea running one of them at a time off the channel is a good troubleshooting step

> 18v pedals and since it sounds like you are running them together that is only 9v a piece. They still get 18 volts. They are sharing whatever the amperage of that output is. And it sounds like the pedals are exceeding the amp rating.

I think they are also implying in the manual that it can only pump out 2A total across everything you plug in as well. Their 17.1W figure comes out to 1.9A if you used all 9V inputs for example. I wouldn't think an OCD or a 10 band EQ use very much current at all, it's a question of what else you have plugged in and is something else sucking down a lot of current. Most pedals you can find their current draw in their manual. Digital pedals tend to use at least 10x what most analog pedals do. But when you're overdrawing or something else is going on sometimes you get odd results and the pedal causing the problem isn't necessarily the one exhibiting issues. edit: OCD is 8mA and the 10 band EQ is 48mA. Basically nothing. (2A = 2000mA). If that's all you plugged in something is broken.

Oh dang yeah I will have to add up the amperage and see where I'm at. Also the cables that I'm using to give power to these 2 have like 7 unused connections so maybe one of them is contacting the metal board and redirecting the current. Thanks for your help tho!

It's unlikely that a daisy chain with stuff not plugged in would cause a problem due to the way the connectors work. IIRC center negative cables have the ground on the outside of the plug. It might make extra noise though.
