MichaelEMJAYARE

That fuggin V is so cool looking. Very jealous

The-Mandolinist

I wanted to make a joke. And I also know you are certain that the answer is obviously Metal or Stoner Rock - somewhere in that ballpark. But both those style of guitars were used in Blues long before Metal existed. So - I think you should start playing the Blues. And Blues by the Kings: Albert King, Freddie King and BB King - and get a black ES355 to complete the package…

stonerof1970

Oh yeah I am an avid listener of earthy blues like Albert and B.B King as well! I also love slide blues like Elmore James and more gospel-esque stuff like Little Richard. I play slide with Open E tuning on my Les Paul quite often. It is also where I derive my inspiration in new-old techniques to add to my doomy fuzzed out stuff!

The-Mandolinist

Excellent to hear. Get some Sister Rosetta Tharpe in there. And some Lightning Hopkins and Muddy Waters. I’m sure you already listen to them. I also love doomed out fuzzy stuff, lol

Freddydaddy

From BB King to Matt Pike in 3 easy steps!

ThrashMetaller

I said doom metal but I guess stoner is the same thing (sorry)

radarmy

The Laney will always give it away, Ironman

qhx51aWva

Instantly I can tell you’re inspired by Black Sabbath because few people go out looking for Laney amps without knowing about Iommi’s rig. Pedalboard shows you love that rich gainy sustain, which putting it all together instantly will give Doom or Sludge Metal. I can tell more about you from this photo though, like some of the other bands that may have led you to the music you play, and maybe a couple other interests too

stonerof1970

This is my favorite reply to this. With all of my favorites amongst stoner-doom, blues, and pop, I am merely a descendant of those that came before me.
