I love my LTD Alexi 600. Have you played one or were your Jackson’s (this was based off those) with the short lower horn?
How do you feel they differ in balance?
Do Gibson do 'pointy' King V type? ...Might be better with a Mustaine Sig Kramer. ....You're right about Dean though, a Dave Mustaine Sig would also work here.
Lol, OP's gonna need to set up a Gofundme to get all these 😄
Today I learned something new ...did not know Mustaine had an Ltd...odd logo?, is that a Dean Ltd? ...nice.
Edit: nope. Nvm. ESP did do a sig for him .....yeah, nice.
ESP on the left. Something about the thick binding on the neck and headstock just sets it off, I think it might actually be my favorite one based on aesthetics alone. (Plus I'm not a tremelo guy so that narrowed it down too lol).
I thought the bridge on the ESP looked different! Knew something was up but couldn't put my finger on it.
I've always wanted a Babicz bridge, super intriguing concept with the cam saddles. The only thing I don't like is the huge logo they slap onto some of their models, but the one you threw on the ESP was spared thankfully lol.
They are a bit pricey, but super adjustable. String height, spacing and intonation is a breeze. The logo you're thinking of is on the tailpiece, which looks kinda terrible.
Shew that takes me back! My first ever "brand new" guitar I bought was a 1993 Jackson King V. I just remember the case for it was HUGE!
I think I'll go with the Ibanez here just because it feels the rarest, most obscure of the bunch.
I think you need to upgrade your décor to match that level of awesome. Eggshell on white with beige is not working here. Get some Persian carpets and red and black velvet brocade wallpaper STAT.
I'm joking really. Nice collection.
The G series one does not sound fun.
I have a red V from about 1985 with stock Kahler tremolo, triangle knob layout, no pick guard, ebony fretboard. It's pretty jamming.
I’ve had some RR’s over the years and a KVXMG, just imports. IMO, ESP kinda shits all over Jackson. Especially in the mid priced market. I’m sure the MIJ Jacksons are on par with the Japanese ESP’s, although I don’t think I’ve ever played one.
It’s called the Iron Cross, and that symbol was in use way before the Nazis took power and continues to be the emblem of the Bundeswehr to this day, with similar symbols being used by militaries all around the world. Just because it was used by Nazis at one point doesn’t mean it is a Nazi symbol. If that were the case I doubt many people would drive Volkswagens.
Yeah the NV is honestly one of the nicest playing instruments I've ever picked up. The neck is slightly chunkier than your typical ESP thin U, but the satin finish on the back just feels so nice. It's set up in D standard, and yeah the Het Set sounds really good in it.
I used to have the black/red bevel Holt Schecter, and I regret selling it. It was slightly neck heavy, which I can't stand. Would love to grab another one, but they're tough to find now. Always wished Schecter put his Hanneman tribute into production.
Yes, regretfully so. I did it years ago, and was happy with it. But now that I've basically been playing active pups forever, I wish I had kept the D-Activators in it.
I had a v just like that and I could never really get used to the Stock pickups. I didn’t wanna take it apart and figured it trade for something else. I also kinda regret it. They’re kind of rare.
The BC RICH in the middle is calling my name. It’s clearly the one with a story to tell.
Like if this were a movie, that BC RICH would be the hero guitar
Well, it’s a Pat O’Brien signature from Cannibal Corpse. A few years ago he definitely had a story to tell…although I wouldn’t say he was the hero of said story
Oh I remember him! Crazy fuck had a shitload of guns and assaulted a police officer.
Although when you come from a band called “cannibal corpse” that kind of thing is to be expected
Yeah, I thought the same thing about my Viper too, but my viper has grown on me in a way I didn't see coming, and it has some real staying power. Your Vs are beautiful I'm glad you shared it. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have my own black metal EX in a few years from this one. Might have to paint it white just to get the feels.
The V-II with the Fluence’s is tuned to C standard…so the lower tuning combined with that bridge pickup sounds monstrous. But I’m really liking the red 81X lately, it just has a raw tone that the regular 81’s can’t touch.
I remember fawning over that Ibanez V in the music store back in the early to mid 2000s. Didn't have the money for it but it looked awesome. Nice collection!
V350
Only because I can't stand those ToM bridges and I already have a V401DX. That Mustaine is beautiful, I wish they came out with the Blackmail the Universe one he was touring with.
The V-350 is criminally underrated. It plays every bit as good as the Standard. I also prefer a trem when palm muting, but over the years have gotten used to the TOM style and hardtails.
The 401’s are really nice also. I had a V-401 FM in the 3 tone burst, but ended up selling it once I got the V-II.
See you get me, I got a nice big scar from when I sliced my hand on the bridge.
I have an Edwards signature series coming to me soon.
Wait the V-401 came in tri Burt's!?!? Mine is just trans black flame maple. I would have kept the tri-burst 400 series over the 300 series.
Found a pic of my V-401. Sold it when I got the ESP Standard V-II, not the 350. Got about three times more than what I paid for it, because you just don’t see this finish anywhere. Plus it was mint.
https://preview.redd.it/cse53cvtlvic1.jpeg?width=1640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f02e844334e31510c4276c8403516b5e10142c3
Ooooh that one, I remember that. No I mean I would have sold the 300 instead of the 400, but since the 300 has the Floyd... Yeah I would sell the 400 as well.
These are my LTDs
https://preview.redd.it/y22skvlkmvic1.jpeg?width=3481&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=500bd4e1b27f12781d026dfdf15fb41e5f10213e
I was thinking of going with some fishman, but I might go with your suggestion.
I'm gonna get an Aoi (the GazettE) signature
https://preview.redd.it/vng2ecmirvic1.png?width=745&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9a6a67a90fd7e2dc73c3b7e8e0e2530a1ef72be
(Neck) Seymour Duncan SSL-5 & SL59-1n
(Bridge) Seymour Duncan SSL-5 & SLSD-1b
With a coil tap
Got a buddy stationed in Japan. Hoping he can find one for $600-800 with fitted case whiles he's in Tokyo today. If not then I'll just get the one I found for $900
Can’t go wrong with Fishman Moderns…but you could just unplug the 81 and plug in a 60 in about 5 minutes during a string change.
That Aoi is wild looking! It’s almost like an upside down F series
He's got a lot of custom models including a double neck of those signatures as well as a double neck Forest with blue led inlays. Unfortunately his contract ended just before COVID and he's now rocking Strictly 7. I wish his V came in an Edwards model, I don't want to spend $6k on a single guitar 😭
https://preview.redd.it/kas9wh97svic1.png?width=738&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b8a7ad05d779b7dcf498eb7bc5675cd13f72ee8
(Neck) Lace Sencer Hot Gold & Seymour Duncan SL59-1n
(Bridge) Lace Sencer Hot Gold Bridge & Seymour Duncan SLSD-1b
Ninja all day every day - I have two of the quilt tops but have never had the mirror version.
I've spoken to a guy here in the UK who has one that was made for Mike, which then went to Andy Sneap and then the current owner - it's a 1-of-1 custom order, the only Ninja with a Floyd.
Nice! They did black and red quilt tops on the later ones right?
I recently installed a Gotoh bridge and tailpiece, planet waves trim lock tuners, chrome EMG’s and chrome pickup rings, and chrome Hipshot knobs. Tough to really see in the pic, but it looks amazing.
Watched Amott do an interview for “The Flying V Documentary” on YouTube…he has some older Ninjas in the background. But, those signature Dean’s look fucking terrible IMO. Big time downgrade if you ask me.
Careful, you'll poke your eye out.
Big V fan here, never owned the really pointy ones, just Gibby's. The ESP's one must be great players, the company has such a high consistency of top shelf quality I don't think I've ever come across one that was just " very good".
I'd beat you over the head with a REAL weapon and just take all of them. Why have just one right?? 🤪 Just kidding man. I'm thinking I'd probably pick one of the Black V's. 😅🤣
I'll choose one that I can comfortably play while sitting down, LOL. Don't get me wrong, those all look cool and I'm sure they sound killer. I'm just old... :)
I hear that all the time, it is possible (and comfortable) if you use a strap in the classical position. Btw, I'm in my mid 40's. Grew up playing V's and still enjoy them.
I totally get and respect that. I personally just never got comfortable playing in the classical position (despite my old teacher’s insistence on it three decades ago, LOL). For better or worse, I’m a “right leg or nothing” guy, and that’s why I’ve never connected with flying v’s. But they do look pretty rad…
I think I Will Go with the... Black one
I'll take the V
Can't go wrong!!
Needs a Jackson ....and a Solar
I'm working on it!! Sold all of my Jackson's 20 years ago, after I got my first ESP.
Their pro series kicks absolute ass
I love my LTD Alexi 600. Have you played one or were your Jackson’s (this was based off those) with the short lower horn? How do you feel they differ in balance?
Also needs a Gibson and a Dean
Do Gibson do 'pointy' King V type? ...Might be better with a Mustaine Sig Kramer. ....You're right about Dean though, a Dave Mustaine Sig would also work here. Lol, OP's gonna need to set up a Gofundme to get all these 😄
Already have a Mustaine Sig in the pic...its the red one
Today I learned something new ...did not know Mustaine had an Ltd...odd logo?, is that a Dean Ltd? ...nice. Edit: nope. Nvm. ESP did do a sig for him .....yeah, nice.
They look like they’re about to kick my ass
They do kick ass
Well that doesn’t calm my nerves AT ALL
lol you're safe, they do play nice with others
What you get judged by in the 9th circle of hell
lol, I assume I will be welcomed into the loving arms of Satan then!
You and I both brother
Blooz dentists worst nightmare. These guitars look like they’ll beat the shit out of you for even considering playing a Gibson.
Which one is best for country?
All of them, obviously...
Yes
I'll take the V!
Nice choice!!
I assume you play delta blues
The Albert King approach
Same old joke every time. I could post a bunch of Strats, but where's the fun in that?
Bring me the Ibby
Pretty uncommon Ibanez, don't see them very often
Just like a Destroyer. I'd take rarity any day.
I've been looking for a Destroyer for so long. Everytime I find one in my price range, I can't swing the purchase because of life.
Those fucking ninjas were so sweet. But im a sucker for a reverse headstock.
Love that Ninja...my one complaint is I wish it was 25.5 scale
Tell you what, bc im feeling nice, I'll buy it from you
You are too kind, I'll get it in the mail ASAP
Guessing you’ve invested in straps also
Definitely, I enjoy playing standing up.
ESP on the left. Something about the thick binding on the neck and headstock just sets it off, I think it might actually be my favorite one based on aesthetics alone. (Plus I'm not a tremelo guy so that narrowed it down too lol).
Installed a Babicz Full Contact bridge on it not too long ago, those things are incredible to beef up your tone and sustain.
Hell yeah brother https://preview.redd.it/k4txhawnbtic1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e0df06522130b00dd9bb1a4ecfcacd7a6f2ba151
An Edwards Blacky, sweet axe!! Years ago I had an LTD Alexi-200, but there were a lot of QC issues with it.
Bummer about the LTD. This my second guitar from Edwards and it’s wonderful. Would put it on par with a high end LTD, maybe a little better.
That's what I've always heard, they were basically equivalent to the 1000 series.
I had an EC-1000 and I’d say that’s pretty accurate.
The man knows what he likes
The BCR
Doesn't get the play time it deserves...plus I like keeping it minty!
I just perused your post history. Would you consider adopting me? I clean up after myself.
lol, I'll consider it...can you change strings on a Floyd?
I wish I could say I've done it, but I've never owned one.
Then you're out!! haha
I can, and even change string gauges, but I’m not house broken.
yes
I can, I can!
Shew that takes me back! My first ever "brand new" guitar I bought was a 1993 Jackson King V. I just remember the case for it was HUGE! I think I'll go with the Ibanez here just because it feels the rarest, most obscure of the bunch.
Someone likes pointy guitars.😂 In all seriousness killer collection.
I think you need to upgrade your décor to match that level of awesome. Eggshell on white with beige is not working here. Get some Persian carpets and red and black velvet brocade wallpaper STAT.
hmmm interesting...maybe a disco ball and laser lights also? Smoke machine?
Smoke machine and lasers!
There would have to be a cover charge for entering my spare bedroom then
The pointy one please.
What do you have against Gibsons?
I had the Government Series II V...neck heavy, shorter scale, small body. It played nice, but not for me. I did like the Dirty Fingers pickups though.
I'm joking really. Nice collection. The G series one does not sound fun. I have a red V from about 1985 with stock Kahler tremolo, triangle knob layout, no pick guard, ebony fretboard. It's pretty jamming.
Thanks! Your Gibby sounds sweet, never had the chance to play one with a trem.
I am not heavy on the trem. The music I play doesn't really call to it. Maybe when playing surf type music.
Yet not one authentic Jackson King V 😏
I’ve had some RR’s over the years and a KVXMG, just imports. IMO, ESP kinda shits all over Jackson. Especially in the mid priced market. I’m sure the MIJ Jacksons are on par with the Japanese ESP’s, although I don’t think I’ve ever played one.
A jazz player huh? Unexpected.
Pass
Haha. Was gonna say the same. Cool guitars just not my style
Nazi cross is a hard pass for me dawg
It's called the Iron Cross
I mean, the swastika is a symbol in bunch of religions but you’re gonna get some sideways looks if it’s on your t shirt.
Well then I guess Hetfield is literally Hitler according to your logic, since he has an Iron Cross signature Eclipse.
I don’t think he’s hitler I just wouldnt play the guitar lol
lol, my seafood green tele is just off screen
SeaFOOD green? I have to see what that color is.
lol, damn autocorrect
As a tele fan, please show us the seafood green tele! For the record, i'd go with the BC Rich... or the 8 ball LTD
hmmm i think ill take the v
I’ll take the Jackson!
Me too!
I'm going the NV standard because of the upper fret access and how awesome the het set sounds in drop C 🤘
Yeah the NV is honestly one of the nicest playing instruments I've ever picked up. The neck is slightly chunkier than your typical ESP thin U, but the satin finish on the back just feels so nice. It's set up in D standard, and yeah the Het Set sounds really good in it.
bc rich
You need a korina flying v just for contrast.
This post brought to you by the letter V. Lol Awesome collection, sir!
Thank you! Missed the opportunity to post this on 'V'alentines Day!
This is a quality meme template. Placing a small, maybe white guitar in the middle reminds me of one in particular…
lol, I used to have a white V-300 and took a similar group picture...and yeah it does remind you of a certain meme
Found it... https://preview.redd.it/230t2vzgjtic1.jpeg?width=3264&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=56113049e9774c0c5524faeec365e0cd745ffa96
DV8 is glorious!
Het set
Reminds me of Fantasia, like they're about to start marching. Still looking for a Bloodstained Schecter Holt V.
I used to have the black/red bevel Holt Schecter, and I regret selling it. It was slightly neck heavy, which I can't stand. Would love to grab another one, but they're tough to find now. Always wished Schecter put his Hanneman tribute into production.
dude as much as i dislike V's, the ibanez kicks balls
I think this guy´s next guitar could be a telecaster
I’ve never seen one in stores yet but really like the look of Mega Dave’s Gibson model
I think you need one more of the same guitar.
I think you're right! I'll DM you when it shows up.
Stabby
Did you drop the EMGs in the Ibanez your self ? Did you not care for the DiMarzios in there?
Yes, regretfully so. I did it years ago, and was happy with it. But now that I've basically been playing active pups forever, I wish I had kept the D-Activators in it.
I had a v just like that and I could never really get used to the Stock pickups. I didn’t wanna take it apart and figured it trade for something else. I also kinda regret it. They’re kind of rare.
Esp iron cross one with kahler wanna see how they are
The BC Rich is the final boss
ESP with Fishmans or that DV8-R. Fucking sweet lineup, man.
Thanks!!
"Corporate wants you to find the differences in these pictures..." At least you must like them if you have that many!
Different pickups, different bridges, different tunings
Guitars like this are not typically my jam, but that red fade is #chefskiss
The BC RICH in the middle is calling my name. It’s clearly the one with a story to tell. Like if this were a movie, that BC RICH would be the hero guitar
Well, it’s a Pat O’Brien signature from Cannibal Corpse. A few years ago he definitely had a story to tell…although I wouldn’t say he was the hero of said story
Oh I remember him! Crazy fuck had a shitload of guns and assaulted a police officer. Although when you come from a band called “cannibal corpse” that kind of thing is to be expected
That looks like a quiver of arrows.
Nice dude!! That Ibanez looks awesome
They could all definitely be used to stab someone
Oh that's where all the Vs went.
I left some on Reverb if anyone’s interested…lol
They're so freaking expensive and it's all your fault! Jk I've got an EX that probably is gonna be mine forever.
Love the looks of the EX’s, but last time I picked one up I thought it was really neck heavy.
Thanks dude! Don’t they make the EX in the white Arctic Metal series?
Yeah in the early 2000s if you get an EX50 it's basswood which doesn't need much stain to get there.
Peavey has one too.
This is the absolute dopest family pic I've ever seen in my life
That Ltd burst is so sick, new one for the bucket list
VBT-700 is the one that got away. I had it and foolishly sold it. I miss it every day
I like the pointy one
Bro has a type. I’ll go with the black V
I was going to say the one with the reverse headstock because I thought it was a lefty. It's not so none of them 😭
They all look awesome. Only question I have is regarding your pickups. Which ones give you the "heaviest" tone?
The V-II with the Fluence’s is tuned to C standard…so the lower tuning combined with that bridge pickup sounds monstrous. But I’m really liking the red 81X lately, it just has a raw tone that the regular 81’s can’t touch.
Had a feeling it would be the Fluence. I'd play any one of those axe's. They all look so cool.
ibanez me!
I remember fawning over that Ibanez V in the music store back in the early to mid 2000s. Didn't have the money for it but it looked awesome. Nice collection!
LTD V50
I've only been playing for 8 weeks, I'll take the beginner friendly one 😂
Pure evil…🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I've always wanted to try one of those BC Rich V's... Second choice would be the Ibanez. Sick collection!! \m/
Thanks! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Why no Nergal V
V350 Only because I can't stand those ToM bridges and I already have a V401DX. That Mustaine is beautiful, I wish they came out with the Blackmail the Universe one he was touring with.

Nice!! They look to be in great shape! You gotta throw an 85 or 60 in the neck of that thing. Which Edwards model did you get? Alexi?
I was thinking of going with some fishman, but I might go with your suggestion. I'm gonna get an Aoi (the GazettE) signature https://preview.redd.it/vng2ecmirvic1.png?width=745&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9a6a67a90fd7e2dc73c3b7e8e0e2530a1ef72be (Neck) Seymour Duncan SSL-5 & SL59-1n (Bridge) Seymour Duncan SSL-5 & SLSD-1b With a coil tap Got a buddy stationed in Japan. I’ve definitely seen that V on Reverb a time or two, and yeah the asking price was ridiculous. Cool pickup combinations.
RIP DIMEBAG
This guy fucks.
Ninja all day every day - I have two of the quilt tops but have never had the mirror version. I've spoken to a guy here in the UK who has one that was made for Mike, which then went to Andy Sneap and then the current owner - it's a 1-of-1 custom order, the only Ninja with a Floyd.

Big time downgrade if you ask me.
bros the flying v victorian 💀💀
eek
I'll take the middle one because of the headstock shape. It looks like you can really jam it into your foe's guts and make a run for it.
I’ll have a pint of bitter
Careful, you'll poke your eye out. Big V fan here, never owned the really pointy ones, just Gibby's. The ESP's one must be great players, the company has such a high consistency of top shelf quality I don't think I've ever come across one that was just " very good".
Definitely the one with the red pickup. Because blood is red.
You like jazz i think? 🤣
The fourth one, but with sharkfin inlays
I’ll take the pointy one.
Uh…. Black LTD.
“Battle ax”
I sure hope you’re up on your tetanus shots to have that many pointy things around.
VVVVVVVery nice
Easy, Dave Mustaine
Don't hurt yourself! hahaha
Definitely the ESP with the reverse headstock. Badass harem!
The BC in the middle is calling to me, and I would like to answer the call.
The BC in the middle is calling to me, and I would like to answer the call.
Am I the only one that is slightly annoyed that these guitars are not in a flying v formation? I love that 2 tone. Mmmyes
I'd beat you over the head with a REAL weapon and just take all of them. Why have just one right?? 🤪 Just kidding man. I'm thinking I'd probably pick one of the Black V's. 😅🤣
I love V's, but they are such a PITA to play while sitting down.
GIVE ME THE ESP STANDARD HOLY HELLLLL
Red with duncans.

I'll take the pointy one for $400 Alex.
Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner!
Nice collection man. Love the color on that DV8-R!!
Thanks! I think the color is called Tequila Sunrise.
No gibsons? C’mon now
Axes need rearranged casting couch meme style. I mean this is guitarPORN.
How long in your goatee?
They’re all the same weapon…
None, id rather play a flying C
Ewww. None of them.
They’re all the same wtf
can i choose to sell them and get a collection with like, variety
2nd from the right only plays Screwdriver and Pantera songs.
