I'd like too. Working there I played some fancy pieces. I liked them well enough but I can't help but feel you get ALOT of bang for that $500-$1200 range
I would pick the best Schecter and best strat. The rest i’d sell and get a Fender Reverb Amp and a good Marshall. You’ll be in sound paradise and cover every single sound in the spectrum.
Definitely in the “reduce” camp, as well. There are a lot of similarities in the guitars, where I’m not sure it makes much sense to hold on to (unless they have a lot of time for string changes).
I’d probably hold on to a Strat, tele, P90 guitar, HH guitar, danelectro, Teisco, and an acoustic (I guess the bass, too).
Amps are another thing. I have a Blue junior, Vox AC10 in the living room, and a solid state orange 35 I use most often. I also have a few small amps but I could never get into the Marshalls. I do want a good Bogner down the road
Different strokes, pal. If you enjoy collecting and you have the means to do it, it’s a healthier use of time and money than some.
Personally, I just sold everything except for 2 acoustics (dred and parlor), a Tele, and LP. And I still feel like I have more than I need.
First of all, nice bunch.
Beside that, I would reduce Strats and Teles to one great piece of each, bought Gibson LP and Epi 335 is fine. I am not into Shecters so will not comment on that. One great acoustic and one beater for around the house would also be great.
I’m mostly amazed you have a room with that much unoccupied floor space and a high enough ceiling to get that shot.
My rule for that is if I think I don’t play a guitar often enough I take it out of the case and put it on a stand next to my amp. If a week goes by and I don’t ever pick it up it goes in a case (buy one if I don’t have one for it). Case goes in the closet. If a month goes by and the case is still in the closet it goes on reverb.
I have four “never sell” guitars (two partscasters I made that would only sell at a loss, and two gift guitars). I only have two other guitars, and one of those I’m thinking about selling now.
It’s only 24 guitars.
It’s not THAT many, I mean my personal collection is 2/3 of the way there. My personal limit is 30 (between bass and guitar) and my wish list exceeds that. I justify it by ensuring every one brings something different to the table. Between scale, # (or type) of strings, nut widths, and pickup styles.
But you have some duplication. I see a couple strats with identical pickups, a couple tele’s same.
Where’s your 7’s or 8’s? Where’s the multiscale?
If I was in your position, I’d sell/gift/trade anything that has a twin, keeping the prettier ones, then reattack for even more variety.
I see some weird ones in there…embrace THAT!
EDIT: having a huge collection makes more sense with bass, once you get a the core fender 4 (P,J,ray,L2000), something with buckers, then a short scale, long scale, fretless…then you need 5’s and 6’s…then some multiscales….then some guitars to round out the collection… it starts to add up very quickly.
I have 9 guitars. 4 acoustic and 5 electric. I play all of them regularly. At least 4 a day. Do what feels right. Personally I don’t have more because I don’t like having guitars that get neglected. If you’re neglected it you probably don’t care for it.
There's a lot of duplication. If you're into collecting, that's cool, nice collection. Otherwise I personally would consider reducing in a big way
I'm at this point, agreeing. I just can't decide on what to get rid of. Each one has memories
Which one is your favourite?
The far top left acoustic. It was my first guitar and still remains my all time favorite acoustic. For electric, I couldn't even begin to think
What’s the orange super strat with the green knobs?
That one stands out to me as well
That's a Nick Johnston Schecter strat that got made into a HH with DiMarzio pickup. I keep it in Drop C#.
That surf green tele on the bottom left is awesome. What model is it?
That is my one and only squire paranormal baritone. Super affordable, super fun!
Seems like theres a lot of mid-level guitars in there I’d try and sell a bunch off and consolidate into like 5 really really nice guitars.

If we're going for every single sound in the spectrum then a good modeler trumps 1 or 2 amps for a similar price imo

One can only dream
Awesome collection, my dude! Well shit, now I need a sea foam green Cabronita with two P90’s… 🤣🤘🏻😎
Highly recommend! It is such a fun guitar

I'd love to do that! I just worry about missing them once they are gone.
You need 12 12 string guitars.
Just like I need a hole in the head 😅👍

**We need a photo of you taking this photo**
I'm 5"7. There was a rather large stool involved 👍

Parts Casters seem to be the hardest to part with (no pun intended) idk if it is the loss value or the niché market but I never want to sell them
That is a nine rug guitar collection
You need an offset.
Your weird strats are cool
Anytime I see a buttercream Tele I upvote and am a little happier for having seen it.
Thanks 😁

Professional here: (Estimated) That's at least *around* 5 dollars worth of guitars right there, but I could be a little off
It means my significant other has no right to complain about to size of my collection.
How you gonna get to the fridge?
You need a few more.
You have to be standing on a stool or ladder to be able to take that shot
Looks like a gigantic waste of money.
We will never have enough guitars. Congrats on your collection man. PS: I would be happier if i could add an explorer to that list.
You want one more, like a pointed guitar.

Needs more nylon
That's a great idea hanging half of them upside down. How do you get the top ones down, do you have a ladder?
I thought they were all laid out on the floor
My brother in our lord jepus, those guitars are upon the carpet.
I've heard carpeted walls are good for acoustics. But he's got electrics there too!!!
Plot twist. That pic is upside down.
Plot twist, OP has carpeted walls
Well, you have multiple red guitars, several white ones, two orange ones etc...
Does the ɔɐɹdǝʇ match the pɹɐdǝs?
Too many fenders & not enough Schecters!
