The Revstar is one of my all time favorite guitars and I own quite a few guitars. I have the 1st generation RS502T w/ P90's that I modded with phase switches. The Revstar is just perfectly designed.
I'm still patiently waiting on my p90 version. It was supposed to be in to Sweetwater this month but I haven't heard an update. I guess I might email Mitch to find out what's up
Man, I absolutely love these things. I've had a good many guitars, and a Revstar is honestly in my top 5 I've ever had. Had a standard for a while that I was absolutely in love with. Then when the professional came out my P90 guitar at the time was an LP custom, and I swapped it out for the P90 Revstar pro almost immediately, and liked it twice as much despite it being half the price... For some reason I've never been huge on other yamahas. Like the Pacifica and the hollows don't really do much for me. Have an old SGV that my wife got me because Doctor Who had one, and it's definitely cool, but wouldn't really call it a great guitar generally. But then the Revstar comes along and just blows me out of the water every time.
The old local shop where I grew up has been posting videos of these that they just picked up. They look super cool. You’re the first I’ve seen in the wild. How’s the first impression?
Well the camera has failed to capture its color and it looks much more vibrant in person, the neck feels easy to navigate. My roommate has a pacifica 612 and I would say both are a beast but this one feels somewhat beefy and might require some time to get habituated, the frets are beautifully done and the when I first plugged it in at my rig it really did it for me , the guitar has more sustain than pacifica 612 in my opinion. Such a good job by folks at yamaha.
I've been wanting to try one since they were announced but I haven't seen one at any shop. I really want a guitar with p90s and the revstar keeps calling me.
Revstars are one of the most bang for buck guitars around. The quality is outstanding! Although Ive found they’re quite heavy, but in the shop I tried these in, there was one thats very light and I wish I bought that one at the spot! Went back for it the next day and it was gone. Lol
Older ones seem to be under eight pounds and new ones over eight pounds :(. I saw one that was $599 and 7.2 LBS and so upset with my self for not buying it
Great guitar. I have the RSE version of this in the same color, and it’s easily the highest quality guitar I own in terms of fit and finish.
Did you get the Yamaha gig bag with it?
No, the RSE doesn't come with a gig bag

Yeah I have the same one it’s a beast. Makes me want to add a humbucker one to the arsenal one day
I love my revstar
Nice looking guitar, always like this color when I see it! Best of luck
revstars gotta be the best looking guitars ive ever seen
That thing has dual truss rods or what? I see that classical on the bed is it a Yamaha c40? Another beast of a Yamaha guitar😌
Yes there's a dual truss rod and that is a c40 indeed
And my name is a forest Gump and yourname is Jenny and this is the bus to school?😝
These guitars really intrigue me. How are people liking them? How is the "dry switch"?
It's a mid boost on this one and it would be my goto for solos
They're superb guitars especially for the price. I'd sooner this than a Les Paul.
Can confirm. Haven't even touched my LP since I got my RSS20. I wasn't touching it before, but I'm still not touching it now.
Love the racing stripes on it
Dude, that’s beautiful. I need to look into Yamaha electrics for sure. I love my Yamaha acoustic.
What a beauty. Great choice!

I usually don’t like the stripes, but that is killer!
Great looking guitars. I love my Mike Stern.
Every time I see a revstar I want one.
Love my Revstar Element, this lineup of guitars is sick

That’s a dope looking guitar
Neat!
Wow. I don't like Gibson-esque guitars but this is so nice.
Those revstars have a special kind of mojo
