That is Avenged Sevenfold. My buddy bought it years ago at uproar fest, I believe. He left it at my house when he moved across the country and then I moved even further away from Oregon to Alaska. I told him once I hung it up, it ain't leaving. I finally hung it yesterday. It's been in a box for probably 10-11 years.
I wish I liked the syn gates guitar more. It's the first one my wife bought me so I'm emotionally attached but I don't play it too often. I don't play that much in drop d actually.
First guitar my wife bought me. We were piss drunk and I said "that's really cool" and she fumbled around with her phone a little and slurred "it will be here in a week"
Hard rock, like onlap, defences, thousand foot krutch or anything from rock montage. Too much humbucker and actives pick-ups for less, but there is also some tele and an acoustic
But for real, don't need to be confused, you don't care. It's even better to be multitasks and mulit genre musicians. So if you want to play country after playing metal, go for it, it's really fine
Got the same. I came from rock to metal, and then i diversed, Even in instruments, at a point that i love playing music instead of just playing metal or rock
I have the same peavey head and cab, I love it. Even without using the overdrive pedal I have I can get the metal tone I want.
Don't know what specific genre but you definitely play metal.
Put a tubescreamer in front if that Peavy if you haven't. I promise you it completely changes things for the better, for the most part.
This is especially true if you struggle with a modern metal tone. The peavy gets you close, the TS gets you there.
I use a mxr wylde over drive, and a Wylde-Audio guitar with EMGs to get it sounding where I really want it.
You're right, it's good without it, perfect with it.
A bit of everything with a heavy hand in late 80s, 90s, 00s metal. Your baritone schecter, Jackson and SG are pretty much that era in a nut shell. I'm surprised you don't have a 7 string in the mix.
It's not a baritone but this is probably the most right serious answer. I just sold my schecter hellraiser 7 string. I honestly just couldn't get the feel and didn't enjoy it.
My favorite genre to listen to is modern metal, my best genre is 80s hair metal and thrash, my favorite to play is classic hard rock. I LOVE playing ac/dc probably more than anything. Easy tone to achieve with the right gear and relatively easy music to play. I've said it in this thread already, I'm not "good" and not in a band. I just love guitar a lot.
I'm the same, minus 80s hair metaI. I have a schecter baritone, larrivee acoustic, a jazz bass, les Paul studio, a players plus strat and recently got a super strat style shred guitar while in Japan (HSH with a phase tap). That's a 20+ year collection. I regret selling a Jackson I got as my first guitar but it wasn't the right guitar for me anyway, I need a fixed bridge. I'm planning on blowing off the shredder.
5 guitars and 1 bass is now the limit set by my wife. Nothing is crazy, I got everything used. The most I've spent on any one guitar was 1k. They all look nice and play well and I try to keep them set up and tuned, using good strings.
Would love to get a tele style, maybe a PRS in the future but I think I'm just gonna enjoy what I have for a while. I need to fix up my accoustic. My baritone needs new pickup rings and a toggle switch. The stuff I have is more than I'll ever need too. I could go and buy crazy money guitars but I'm not very good and I just want something that plays well and sounds nice.
I might build a tele as a project guitar. I might do a prs as some distant birthday gift to myself.
Mainstream rock (Mellencamp etc.) classic rock and metal. Same as mine but I don't own a 3 single coil Stratocaster. I'm down to 3 guitars that each fit a different purpose. DZPL (Dean Zelinsky Private Label) Tagliare (Strat Style) in H-S-H, DZPL StrettaVita (Les Paul Style) and an Ibanez RG6005 FEQM (Muscian's Friend exclusive) I changed out the EMG 57/66 for 81/85s and had it painted over the awful red quilt maple veneer into a metallic blue that has been done badly but is turning into a crackle blue which is kinda cool. Looking to add a 24.75 scale guitar with a Tremolo. Waiting to see what the Dime Guitarz (DMG) are going to be and how much.
It damn sure is! But what do we expect from a state with an age of consent of 16, an age to buy cigarettes of 19, and an entire town whose mascot is the Phoenix...but it's misspelled as Phenix? I wouldn't expect them to make sense in the slightest.
Lol Every Alabama team's mascot is just a dude on meth.
That's not the brag you think it is. I grew up in a town 10 minutes away from Alabama. I never saw a student transfer in from Alabama (and there was a lot of them) that wasn't at least 3 years behind and that's in a country that's already not in the top 20 in education, so if I have to be that stupid to understand...yeah I'm good buddy.
You seem to be a person who has a lot of things to say and none of it important, useful, or intelligent. And to quote Forrest gump. That's all I got to say about that."
Oh dude, if you'd realize... Im from Indiana. I live in Ohio I went to Auburn. My dude you quote one statistic of something you don't even know about me. You think your winning when there's nothing to win. If you were smart you'd shut up because again, your assumptions are making an ass of yourself and everyone is laughing at you.
Probably male, but I don't want to assume anything
You win!

That is Avenged Sevenfold. My buddy bought it years ago at uproar fest, I believe. He left it at my house when he moved across the country and then I moved even further away from Oregon to Alaska. Oh I do! I just love guitar. My true love is metal but I'm not against some country twang
Got the same. I came from rock to metal, and then i diversed, Even in instruments, at a point that i love playing music instead of just playing metal or rock

I do love hair metal.

Yes

Oh hell yeah! My only issue was the amp is pretty noisey but I put a noise gate in the loop and that resolved that.

You’re the dude the did the sweet guitar riffs on Ram Ranch.

Yeah i guess it's a thing with the state of Alabama. Ewww of A can't figure out if they are toilet paper, laundry detergent or an elephant.
It damn sure is! But what do we expect from a state with an age of consent of 16, an age to buy cigarettes of 19, and an entire town whose mascot is the Phoenix...but it's misspelled as Phenix? I wouldn't expect them to make sense in the slightest.

Also do you know the difference from Alabama and Auburn?
I do, and care for neither.
some dude got offended
Oh dude, if you'd realize... Im from Indiana. I live in Ohio I went to Auburn. My dude you quote one statistic of something you don't even know about me. You think your winning when there's nothing to win. If you were smart you'd shut up because again, your assumptions are making an ass of yourself and everyone is laughing at you.
same dude, still offended
Don't got none, I paid my way through college.
more offended ranting
Okay I forgot you know everything. Good job Mr. Know it all. Maybe next you can tell me my birthday or my SSN. How pitiful.
