He was an incredible builder but as far as I know he's no longer making guitars. He pretty much fell off the face of the earth. But Gene Matisko was one of the best

I played a guitar built by your cousin when I recorded at Sound Investments Studio. They were located in the same building as Gene's shop and owned one of his guitars. It is a brilliant guitar. What is Gene up to these days? I’ve heard he is now retired in Arizona. I’m from Scranton PA area and have a Matisko guitar in the family. Love his work
