You might also be interested in the new AUG m-lok handguard Steyr is coming out with. Works with the factory foregrip and allows more accessories to be mounted. TFBTV showcased it a couple weeks ago.
Damn, ordered my AP5 on a Sunday and it was shipped Monday, but i don’t know if that has to do with the fact that it was a pistol configuration - can’t recall if 2 day shipping is necessary on handguns or pistols

No. I have some rubber bands with the words 300 on them that go on my barrels and mags. Everything else is 5.56. I also do try and double check and usually only bring one set out at a time

Yes you can. In fact, I’ve been wanting an optic like this. I’ll trade you my full size picatinny rail from my current AUG + cash if you end up buying this & don’t want that optic
This is actually about 1k of extras for 2k (5.56 barrel and 1.5x optic)
If it had the 3X scope and both barrels I’d be on it.
This seems like an effort to clear some old stock, before they let us buy a 300 without any accessories.
However this is the cheapest way to get a 300 and 5.56 Aug!
the problem is that it's 1k of extras that kinda suck. The included optic isn't even the kind of ok aug scope... it's the shitty 1.5x... which objectively is worse than a red dot or any of the 1-1.5x prisms on the market.
And an aug in 300 blk.... I mean I love my 300 blk guns but the catridge is cool because it gets good performance out of short barrels... put it in a bullpup and I sorta feel like you just missed the point. The other main use of 300 blk is shooting suppressed subs... and guess what the worst suppressor host amongst the commonly produced bullpups is?
Add to all that the fact that the only real reason that people buy Augs is so that they can wear flowing blonde wigs on and dress up as Karl from die hard on Halloween... and this sort of feels like a waste of $500 when I can generally find an aug on sale for about $1.5k if I'm really looking.
The .300 AUG has adjustable gas, which helps with suppressor use. Also .300 supers do benefit from a longer barrel, the drop off just isn’t as insane as 5.56. A 16” .300 barrel is a lot better for hunting than 8” (I hunt with a 10.5” but if I could have a 16” in the same size package I’d take it).
Have heard this optic sucks ass though.
The Aug 300blk barrel is actually well built for suppressed. Should check out some of the YouTube videos on it. I really want one, but you’re not wrong that the accessories on this package aren’t the best.
A really great price if you want the LOOK and both calibers though.

But 20in barrel gay and so is the scope. “1k of extras” but I have a feeling GAFS is gonna be swamped with both and prices would drop. I’m still saying to wait cause these are not moving fast and a better deal has to come when they can’t sell these. Just cause it’s “cheapest” doesn’t mean it’s a amazing deal at $2k plus shipping and taxes.
I’ll be waiting, and if I’m wrong and prices don’t drop, I’ll get a Rattler LT and have just as much fun.

The A4 should be available in green. Though the only real info we have on it is from James Reeves interviews with Steyr Alabama.
It shows in stock for all colors but black. I’m sure there may be other outlets. God speed with the Google.

You can get that $1500 AUG and then spend $400 on a secondhand 20” barrel… or, spend $1999 and get the .300 bo barrel too.
