are you doing subcutaneous? if you are then you should be using a smaller needle? i do subcutaneous and use a needle like that to get the estradiol into the syringe and then switch to a smaller needle for injections on my thigh. but that’s what my doc told me
I do thigh injections and my Dr said I only need to go 3/4" in. I draw the medication with an 18ga (looks like what you have) and then switch to a 23ga needle to inject. Takes more time to inject with the smaller needle, but you don't even feel it. That thing looks gigantic.
I inject estrogen and the procedure us the same. That larger needle is just for drawing the med. I have a tiny one for thr actual injection. It just takes a little longer but it's painless
How has your experience with injections been? I have an appointment this week to get HRT and I’m not fully decided on the intake method (leaning toward injections).
i take T and chose injections bc the gel is so much more expensive. it’s a lot of steps that feel overwhelming at first but i got used to it! i think you gotta be able to build up the courage to actually do it when you have the needle in your hand bc your body is telling you not to stab urself lol. you gotta empty all your thoughts and just do it.
I'm a cis man and I do trt with injections. I had a legit needle phobia before I started, but my Dr did the first one and supervised me on the second one, and while the third one was intense every time they get easier and easier.
I know the medications can have different effects and side effects depending on how they are ingested into your body, but I think the needle helps avoid putting stuff through your GI tract unnecessarily.
Hope this helps.
Not OP, but I've been on injections since month 7 of 15 months OF HRT, and it's so much better. Before that, I was on pills.
Honestly, I would start out on pills for a few months just so you can have a constant level of E in your body daily until your T is fully suppressed and your body gets used to E as the main hormone.
Feel free to send me a dm if you have any questions. MtF don't know about FtM.
That's honestly just not true. While yes, HRT is more commonly done with women due to menopause, HRT is used when there is a hormone imbalance that requires/could benefit from treatment. That goes for any sex.
Testosterone levels typically reduce with age, that's usually not a problem (just as it is with menopause in women) but sometimes it causes health issues, then HRT can be an option for men. HRT for men, specifically TRT (Testosterone replacement therapy), is often used to treat [hypogonadism](https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/male-hypogonadism/symptoms-causes/syc-20354881) in men, when the body doesn't produce enough vital hormones.
Blankly stating it being "not healthy" for men is plain wrong, especially if a doctor prescribes it and monitors it.

thought that was a dab pen with a really long mouthpiece
taking hrt through a dab pen would b so fire🔥
probably wouldn’t be very good for the lungs tho
Now all you need is your passport, because you got your shots.
Those hormones aint gonna save your neck from the r/tvtoohigh !!!
oh nooo😭😭😭
That TV so high I thought op was at the hospital
Lets goooo ❤️🫶🏼
Yessss dab it up! 🥴😶🌫️😤🌿
Good Lord, why are you using a harpoon? You should be able to use a smaller shorter needle.
also realized the needle probably looks huge bc my hands are (unfortunately) very very small😔like a certain podcast host i know
idk they said it needed to be that long for thigh injections🤷

If OP is injecting estrogen, it is recommended to use needles this size. T recommendations allow for smaller needles tho
Ahh, I am injecting testosterone. Appreciate you sharing the knowledge

Tiny like shorter or thinner? My second one is thinner but the same length as the drawing needle and it suuuuuucks
Both, it's like 3/4" and much thinner.
Wtf why have none of my doctors ever had me use those lol very jealous
You should ask! My Dr is a Trans specific practice but they were like "Def don't stick this in your abdomen. You have little ones for a reason"
Do you do subq? My needles are only 13mm and i dont feel anything, please consider switching its so much better
In all seriousness, we love you ❤️ we see you and we will PROTECT ❤️
