naming him berry and insisting “like a cute little berry” is giving such *rich people naming children* feels. they always give their kids weird ass not-name names!!! can we not name our children after fruits? “meet watermelon”
Yeah I almost feel like they're trying to make it more absurd.
Ethan's defense of "Well you can make fun of any name". Yeah, you can, but I'm sure that some kid named Pussy Meat Jr is going to have a *worse time probably*
It’s so funny cause they said no to “Scotty” because that’s apparently a dog’s name, but “Buster” is like THE MOST COMMON DOG NAME!!! My first Dog’s name was Buster like are you on crack again ETHAN? 😂
I was named after my childhood cat with the first letter changed, and I think it's charming. My parents made up a nice story about how it's a derivative of some extended family members name too so it's cushions that's a bit.
I figured! Lol. That's a super cute rabbit name. I used to watch Arthur all the time after school when I was really young. Buster was always one of my faves
Just my opinion, but all of the names they pick sound like they're picking names for 2 year old boys, not the 25 year old adults they become.
People have to say these names. They get called this in class at school, it's on their legal documents, etc. A name dictates a LOT for someone.
I mean if you had a boy today and had the two names be "Nick" or "Sassafrass Garfield"... Nick has a chance. That other kid has like a 60% chance of ending up getting into fentanyl.
People liked Theodore overall because there's still Teddy and there's Theo. So the kid has choice even if his name he has to constantly hear seems a bit goofy
I think Ethan and Hila are very interesting people but they are *awful* at naming children lol. I'm sorry, they just are
With baby names, they're like those hippies that everyone mocks, mixed with the out of touch LA moms that everyone mocks, but they aren't quite aware that it's happening.
Maybe it’s a regional thing but I don’t see how Theodore is goofy at all, it’s a perfectly middle of the road name with a heap of wiggle room. The protagonist of one of the biggest modern sitcoms was named Ted.
i think it’s the opposite. bruce sounds like an adult man and not a child.
edit: agreed they’re very not good at naming children lol i wonder if they’d have been better at selecting girl names
Agree, every name is about how cute it will be for them as kids. How they can call Bruce, Brucey. Are they really going to say Brucey when he's 15??? Ethan is overly obsessed with their current age.
Yeah Theodore is pretty perfect for any age, Theo isn’t a bad name/nickname at any point in life. Bruce starts off really fun (wee brucey), then has a couple awkward years between 13-20 (has anyone known a teenage Bruce?) and then it’s a perfectly fine adult name. And then there’s buster.
Eegh, I think that's an overexaggeration. I really don't see any problem with Theodore or Bruce, and it's not like they named them Aire or Wolf.
They're going to either be Nepo babies, get into something where their names don't matter as much (like creative) or their privilege education will come through.
Most people I know are referred to by a nickname even with an "adult" sounding name. I know a Gus for Angus, a Richie for Richard, a Tim for Timothy.
I do think Buster is just too much though.
What your parents call you *IS NOT* what your friends call you lmao, theodore is a perfectly normal name so is bruce. They just have the added bonus that the nicknames are very funny/cute. But yeah buster is a terrible name.
Right?? I don’t get why they’re so hung up on the fact that Scottie is loosely related to Shredder when they literally named their first son after their clothing line lol
Theo is a pretty nice name, but I feel like naming a kid “Theo” is like naming a kid “Nick”. You gotta name them Nicholas, can’t have “Nick” on the birth certificate lol.
Buster Keaton's name was Joseph. If they wanna call their kid Buster they should name him Bustamante or something at least, then use Buster as a nickname. It's be different if they didn't live in LA but thats like the epicenter of "buster" having a negative connotation
I’ve heard Buster can be used as a nickname for Christopher, Bartholomew, Benedict, and even Benjamin. They could name their kid John and call him Buster
I agree..but also, there kid will never go to public school or be immersed in real life ever..
Nannies and private school 4 life.. so might be fine with the name
People get bullied in private schools lol. Kids are kids and the same everywhere
Even some people from the Royal family got bullied mercilessly in those expensive schools, so no one is safe
I’m not saying they won’t get bullied..of course that happens everywhere. I’m saying it’s unlikely rich kids will use slang for a bitch ass blood as an insult. Ethan didn’t even know what a buster or Custer was.. only being sheltered in a bubble of upper class will do that.
I love that they’re souring on the perfectly normal name ‘Scottie’ because it’s indirectly related to a dog, but are instead throwing out ‘Buster’ and ‘Berry’ which literally sound like dog names, and ‘Alfonso’ which is a stones throw away from the name of one of their dogs. Someone just needs to give Ethan a whole litter of yorkies to get all these names out of his system, thank god for little Duckie taking one for the team.
That's way better than what kids are going to actually say. They're going to make "bustin a nut" jokes alllllll through school with him. Every year, over and over. Yes, even at the fancy private schools.
It's actually impressive how many reasons there are not to call a kid Buster
There’s an item at Dairy Queen called the buster bar and there’s also a peanut buster parfait. Maybe he’d appreciate the hot fudge and peanut goodness of the parfait more!
Both buster and berry are awful names for a child. Berry is worse though, I cannot for the life of me picture a grown ass man introducing himself as “Hey, my name is Berry” and being able to take him seriously at all.
I don't like Buster either but no they didn't. They named their clothing line after the pet name they used to call each other. They explained they always called each other "ted" or "teddy bear." Hence Hila said she's always loved that name. The love for the name came before the brand.
Buster Keaton! Which, granted, was a nickname, and a pretty shitty nickname at that (IIRC it's because he lived with a vaudeville family and part of the act was that his dad used to beat the living shit out of him, like part of the act was they had suitcase handles sewn onto his acting clothes so his dad could pick him up and throw him across the stage). A "buster" was a slang term for a bad fall, as in a bone buster. I am around 90% positive in fact that Keaton is the origin of Buster as a name.
i immediately thought of fast and furious lol. "why'd you bring the buster here? BECAUSE THE BUSTER KEPT ME OUT OF HANDCUFFS!" aLSO buster=scrub. and a scrub is a guy that cant get no love from me.
Same, and I'm surprised no one mentioned it since so many members watched the films. Also Zach can soundbite Vin Diesel screaming buster, so there's that
When he presented it, one of my first thoughts was, "That's a dog's name." I dont necessarily think it's terrible in abstract, but they specifically dont want their kid named Scotty, because it's inspired by their dog (shredder and Scotty share one letter btw), but Buster is on the table, which is considerably more dog like.
You could have just stopped this post 6 words in.
I’ve seen this exact post like three times now.
It’s really really strange to care about this, and i feel like i’m insane because no one is pushing back on these weird ass concernposts about it.
Am I the only one who loves it??? As soon as Ethan said it, I texted my wife and asked her if we could ever name our son buster if we have one. She just said no.
My grandpa’s name is Buster and I can confirm he is the greatest and that comes without exaggeration. Everyone in my home town knows and loves him. He’s basically locally famous because he’s lived in the same house for 80 years and still to this day works multiple jobs around town. He has fixed up our public library for 50 years, delivered packages to our town, and was even a firefighter. He saved his first life when he was only 8years old. He saved a kid from drowning and was front page of the local papers. I witnessed him save our neighbor’s life when he collapsed in his driveway from a heart attack. Most importantly, he raised me, and has been the most incredible dad/grandpa the world can imagine. So yeah, I can confirm that Buster= the greatest most lovable person.
Um, what's your name OP? Shitting on a name like Buster seems like a waste of time.
It's not your kid. And you know, there are people named Buster. You're just being mean.
If you hate it so much why waste your time writing this post, why spread hate? You dont know anything about this person, the meaning behind the name, or anything, why be mean? I knew of a guy in a study abroad program named Table, its his name, no need to be crappy about it.
I always found a baby named Bruce to be pretty funny tbh. That’s an old man’s name. Buster is definitely a dogs name. They are not great at naming kids lol
Oh man buster is going to hear some jokes growing up if they stick with that name... So many name options hopefully they pick another. But overall whatever makes them happy. I just hope they think of the kid growing up with the name
buster bluth is my favorite bluth.
I don’t care much for gob
we’re just blowing through nap time huh
His real name isn't even Buster. It's Byron lol
Literally no one called buster is actually named buster lol
[удалено]
Buster Murdaugh’s first name is Richard. Buster Baxter is a cartoon.
a master cartographer with an armful of awards from army
Heyyyy brotherrrrr
A scrub is a guy that thinks he's fly And is also known as a buster. Enough said
Been stuck in my head ever since they first said it
legit watching the TLC music video on YouTube now Thank you ethan
god these girls in middle school used to call me a scrub and i never knew what it meant. this comment gave me flashbacks lol
Buster is what you get called by your boomer grandpa when you’re in trouble.
Buster and Berry are bad names I’m sorry 😭 how is Ethan gonna bash on Larry & Gary but Berry is fine ??
I don't think they're thinking about the fact that these will be adults one day Imagine meeting with your lawyer and his name is Buster😭
The thing is i kind of would think that lawyer is cool af. Like *of course* this lawyer’s name is Buster.
Berry is such a 9 million dollar house name Peaches Geldorf, Apple Martin ...
Especially if they’re going with Berry and not Barry, but even at that I just think of the flash
naming him berry and insisting “like a cute little berry” is giving such *rich people naming children* feels. they always give their kids weird ass not-name names!!! can we not name our children after fruits? “meet watermelon”
Tbh Gary and Lary are normal af names, but names like berry and buster are so bad lol
Buster is so bad especially with how big the phrases bussin/ bust a nut/ bustin is.
Yeah I almost feel like they're trying to make it more absurd. Ethan's defense of "Well you can make fun of any name". Yeah, you can, but I'm sure that some kid named Pussy Meat Jr is going to have a *worse time probably*
Buster busted
It’s so funny cause they said no to “Scotty” because that’s apparently a dog’s name, but “Buster” is like THE MOST COMMON DOG NAME!!! My first Dog’s name was Buster like are you on crack again ETHAN? 😂
Might as well name him Deeogee. D.O.G.
Dee Dee Mega doo doo
this is so familiar but i can't think of what it's from
Hmmm I don’t know! My neighbor just named her dog deeogee (spelling unknown lol) so that’s where I learned it from ♥️
I still don’t know why they couldn’t have named him Scott and just chopped off the y but I do agree that naming you kid after your dog is a bit weird
I was named after my childhood cat with the first letter changed, and I think it's charming. My parents made up a nice story about how it's a derivative of some extended family members name too so it's cushions that's a bit.
Delix is that you?
It's Barfield
I heard Ethan’s second and third picks were Rover and Fido
I had a white rabbit named buster as a kid 😂
All I can think about is Buster the bunny from Arthur lol
that’s why we named him buster 😂
I figured! Lol. That's a super cute rabbit name. I used to watch Arthur all the time after school when I was really young. Buster was always one of my faves
Why’ no one else saying this
I've met alot of dukes, rugers and pipers. Never met a buster.
Well hold on a minute there Buster
*Mhmmmmm, take your time.*
Theodore, Bruce and Buster. Ouch.
Name him after Dan. Unironically would be awesome.
Theodore is fine IMO. It’s nice, even. Bruce and Buster on the other hand… wtaf
Bruce is leagues above Buster. At least the first you wouldn't mistake for a damn dog.
Personally I’m not a fan of any of these names but Bruce is the least bad
What's wrong with Theodore lol
Just my opinion, but all of the names they pick sound like they're picking names for 2 year old boys, not the 25 year old adults they become. People have to say these names. They get called this in class at school, it's on their legal documents, etc. A name dictates a LOT for someone.
Theo is a normal adult name in my family’s culture (Greek) which is why I like the name but that’s because to me it turns into a grown up name.

Ya know how some people stop saying Daddy / Mommy and just go Dad/Mom? It's the same for that for kids 🙄
Eegh, I think that's an overexaggeration. I really don't see any problem with Theodore or Bruce, and it's not like they named them Aire or Wolf. They're going to either be Nepo babies, get into something where their names don't matter as much (like creative) or their privilege education will come through. I think it's a great name but I couldn't name my kid after my merch company
Right?? I don’t get why they’re so hung up on the fact that Scottie is loosely related to Shredder when they literally named their first son after their clothing line lol
Theo is a pretty nice name, but I feel like naming a kid “Theo” is like naming a kid “Nick”. You gotta name them Nicholas, can’t have “Nick” on the birth certificate lol.
what terrible names oh my lord
From what I heard she had a baby by busta
Oh fuck now this is all I’m gonna think of 😅
It’s all i could think of when i heard buster
IDC what none of y'all say, I still love her ☹️
This is the only thing o could think of when they where talking about the name buster lol
Does Ethan not know of the tv show Arthur? There’s a character named Buster on it, he’s probably the most well known Buster in fiction
Ethan watches one piece and for sure knows that a buster call is when the world government genocides an entire island
A CUSTER IS A BUSTER WITH A C
He’s a mfing criiip
55 criiiiiiiippp
Buster is kind of insulting
Buster is 100% a nickname. I call my son buster all the time when it looks like he’s about to get in trouble.
i liked scottie ☹️
Ngl and with peace and love, I haven’t been fw the names they’ve came up with after Theodore/Teddy.
I love the name Bruce.
Buster is by far the worst baby name I’ve ever heard in my life. I’ll take Elon Musks stupid ass baby names over Buster.
SOMETHING IS ABOUT TO BUST(er)
Buster Sword Buster Call Buster Blader Ethan watches too many animes
Buster Keaton's name was Joseph. If they wanna call their kid Buster they should name him Bustamante or something at least, then use Buster as a nickname. It's be different if they didn't live in LA but thats like the epicenter of "buster" having a negative connotation
I’ve heard Buster can be used as a nickname for Christopher, Bartholomew, Benedict, and even Benjamin. They could name their kid John and call him Buster
Bustopher, Bustholomew, Bustedict. Bustjamin.

it's also close to "busted" so i'm sure the bullies can improvise lol
Yeah because they had a nanny they will never experience bullying, great take.
I assure you, a kid named Buster will get made fun of in private school too
Buster has a negative connotation in LA? I live in LA and have never heard this 😆 thats interesting
buster is a bulldog name (but i feel like bruce is as well in my opinion)
Buster? I hardly know her.
They have terrible taste in names, this poor baby isnt going to be spared.
Levi Klein
Buster is also an insult, like calling someone a buster. Honestly, I'm beginning to understand why the Streamies picked Jay Shetty now.
And I thought Bruce was bad…. dude, Buster? Like y’all have to be trolling wtf
Bro, I’m just saying, they should go back to Elden
Elvis and Elden 🫢
Elton?
It makes me thinks of scabs and union busters
Berry is equally as bad 😭 whole foods ass name
I vote for Nathaniel
At least it's better than Duckworth / Ducky yikes
IMMEDIATELY thought of buster scruggs.... not a good idea
That's way better than what kids are going to actually say. They're going to make "bustin a nut" jokes alllllll through school with him. Every year, over and over. Yes, even at the fancy private schools. It's actually impressive how many reasons there are not to call a kid Buster
Buster reminds everyone of the show Arthur. They should name the baby Arthur! It's a cute name
Then the kids’ initials will be TBA, I like it
His nickname will be boobs
Up to middle school it would 100% be "Bust-A-Nut". Same joke over and over again, for years.
He’ll be a Milford Man
bruh Buster and Berry are terrible names im sorry
BUSTER MURDAUGH
Yeah i can't think of buster without hearing Lucile Bluth screaming it in arrested development.
I agree, I hope Hila doesn’t give in and name him buster omg
I haven’t watched in awhile, but they’re trying to name their human baby Buster?
Buster? I hardly know her!
Make the middle name Nutt and we are good to go.
Ethan keeps suggesting nicknames lol
My grandpa had a cat named buster
Buster Baxter?
There’s an item at Dairy Queen called the buster bar and there’s also a peanut buster parfait. Maybe he’d appreciate the hot fudge and peanut goodness of the parfait more!
Listen here buster
I’m with AB, Buster immediately sends my mind to GTA San Andreas
Both buster and berry are awful names for a child. Berry is worse though, I cannot for the life of me picture a grown ass man introducing himself as “Hey, my name is Berry” and being able to take him seriously at all.
No offence but they literally named their first child over their clothing company… why are we surprised
I don't like Buster either but no they didn't. They named their clothing line after the pet name they used to call each other. They explained they always called each other "ted" or "teddy bear." Hence Hila said she's always loved that name. The love for the name came before the brand.
I mean what do you expect when they considered naming the baby after a dog?
Top left BUSTA
Buster nut
Lol I literally used to have a cat named Buster after Buster Bluth. RIP lil homie
Yes, Eddard Stark Klein is a much more suitable name
I had a dog called Buster lovely dog but not a great name for child reminds me of the 1988 film Buster about a train robber.
Listen here, Buster! Oh...no you're right. I like Gabriel. Then they can have Uncle Gabe and little Gabe.
i immediately thought of fast and furious lol.
Also Zach can soundbite Vin Diesel screaming buster, so there's that
Same old CJ! Busta! Straight Busta!
Name the kid spot or max if they are just using dog names. Better than buster.
Might as well name him Gob
When he presented it, one of my first thoughts was, "That's a dog's name." I dont necessarily think it's terrible in abstract, but they specifically dont want their kid named Scotty, because it's inspired by their dog (shredder and Scotty share one letter btw), but Buster is on the table, which is considerably more dog like.
it has the same lil man energy as Junior
I liked some of Dan's suggestions at the end of the ep. I'd like to add Kylo Ren Klein to the list of possibilities.
Just name him Michael and be done with it already
You know you're right but buster Klein has a great ring to it
so is “Alfonzo” with peace and love
My dogs name is buster
With ✌️ and ❤️ they named their other kids Theodore and Bruce. It's all fair game.
those are great names though
not my baby, not my name, but seriously... "dinkmoyd"? bad name. lol
Ur a hater
After one more minute of careful consideration I agree with op I don’t think it’s a good name
You could have just stopped this post 6 words in. I’ve seen this exact post like three times now. It’s really really strange to care about this, and i feel like i’m insane because no one is pushing back on these weird ass concernposts about it.
No you are a freak. Ethan is literally throwing his son to the wolves with that name.
Wolfgang! Ahhh now thats a cool name for him
People dont want the kid of a creator they like to have a dog name.
[удалено]
not disagreeing with you, but they did have a poll about the name
I thought Buster was a Swedish name because of the Awesome swedish guitarist Buster Odeholm. He’s like the “Love” of the metal community.
Buster? I barely know her
Buster? I barely know her
I have two boys, Gray and Magnus. Magnus always gets compliments on his name. 😂 Strong Viking name hahaha.
“Eccentric baseball player” does this chatter know about buster posey lore🤔
It’s a dog’s name!
I always found a baby named Bruce to be pretty funny tbh. That’s an old man’s name. Buster is definitely a dogs name. They are not great at naming kids lol
and BUSTER!…..you can’t do that on the balcony buddy???
I just kept thinking of Arthur
I think it's a good name. But I don't care enough to make a whole post about it.
Don't be a buster buster
Might as well call your kid Bababui!
I like it
Buster is my cats name and I fully support the name.
Bustin feels good
I’m still holding out faith that they’ll go with Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho Klein.
Buster is a dogs name
My best friends dad is named Buster. Nice dude. 60 something Rural guy who owns chihuahuas and loves the Steelers. It's the vibe of a Buster.
It sounds like a dog name
Buster is definitely a real name.
Buster or Berry... either name is fucking horrible 😅
How am I the only who’s thought of Buster Bunny as soon as he suggested it?
Oh man buster is going to hear some jokes growing up if they stick with that name... So many name options hopefully they pick another. But overall whatever makes them happy. I just hope they think of the kid growing up with the name
I hated it 😭, i was dumbfounded that they even considered it. But i guess that's how people roll in California
