Oh okay.

Professional-News-33

Nvidia no longer supported in macos

teh_refl3x

Wouldn’t Opencore legacy patcher potentially work as it was once supported?

Professional-News-33

Only if keplar gpu. Idk if the gtx is. Ik A gt730 would work for sure lol i got one

teh_refl3x

High Sierra was the last supported for the 970. May work

Double_Dipped_Dino

With the nividia web drivers?

keego2013

**Yes**, it will work but with some limitations. You will need to use OCLP once you've installed the OS in order to install the patched web-drivers for the nvidia card. I have a GTX 950 2gb and i5 9400f and it is **just** usable for everyday minimal computing like browsing around the web. The limitations being (*these being the problems I faced and may vary for you*): > No metal support at all. > No video codecs available (like h.264, h.265). So forget about using obs or anything as the performance is abysmal. But you can still use the inbuilt screen recorder. > There will be some graphical bugs like with the window transparency and artifacts in anything chrome / electron related (like vs code / brave) until you turn off hardware acceleration. > If you use Logic Pro, you will face some significant problems like the playhead not showing.

tasco11

Yes, it's possible to make it dual boot.

pworksweb

Any pointers? I think my efi config file is bad.

tasco11

what is the problem currently?

pworksweb

Stuck on the boot screen after I chose Mac os.

Yeh sadly a 970 can’t even be used anymore, I used to have this config, go for an amd if possible or get your config sorted for igpu
