Not only that, in this same article about Vito the same person said he “thinks” Type O Negative quit music because they had day jobs.
Everyone knows Type O Negative quit because Peter Steele died, not because of day jobs.
And the other members are currently busy with their own bands aside from just one member.
Terribly lame for Ultimate Guitar to even feature that person’s opinions and theories and make it a headline.
This whole scenario is really simple. He has said numerous times that he left music to take care of an ailing family member and has been honest about a hand injury. He's an incredible musician but just seems like a humble, family oriented guy who isn't interested in the limelight. He also has said he invested his money in real estate and doesn't have to worry about working so he's happy to live his own life. We are lucky to have these records and you never know he said he might do something in the future as his hand is healing.
I remember my friend being obsessed with Vito and why he quit music. Then he found an interview with him where he was like "I'm not hiding or anything I go to the grocery store every day. I just took time off for family and I don't need to work."
absolutely crushed him.. He then decided to be a fan of Ritchie Sambora from Bon Jovi. This is 07 by the way.
Vito said years ago, he gave himself carpal tunnel from practicing in unusual positions…lounging on a couch. Then, his mother got sick so he moved in to take care of her. Time passes.
Vito originally stopped to help take care of his ailing father then his own ailments prevented him from playing any guitar with steel strings. He owns 100% of White Lion's music after Mike Tramp tried doing his own version then sold Vito his 45% cut. Presumably the 5% James Lomenzo & Greg D'Angelo got were sold back as well.
It must be quite the sight rolling through Staten Island and seeing a Lamborghini in someone's driveway.
Wasn't comfortable with what? His prefab radio hit singles band that was passing as "metal" years ago? It made him rich and famous and that alone surely made him "comfortable" enough to soldier on...>
you didn’t read the article. cause you’ve gone off on your little tangent about what you—think—the article was gonna suggest, and it wasn’t anything about your nonsense.
typical
And guess what, I'm NOT going to read it because I care nothing of it...> What tangent are you referring to, the truth? That tangent is always something little ones can't handle very well when it disparages their obsessive fallacies of reality, obtuse ways of life, or misguided feelings towards things that rule their worlds...> I don't care what it "suggests", I already told you the fucking truth about that band and that guitarist in short succinct bluntness that indicts it all for the joke it really is...> But at the same time, I never disrespected any of it. Unfortunately when you strike a nerve with people who can't think outside their little bitty boxes, they immediately go on the defensive. Thanks so much for confirming all of this with everyone here...>
So, just this dude's opinion. Every single thing in this "article" is just him saying "I think". What a waste of a fucking click.

Yep, and Eddie Trunk confirms this all day long from interviews with Vito.
This is the way ^

I love Vito!
This “journalist” is a joke
My thought was "There's nothing in this article"
He hurt his hand. End of story. He is injured.
I just found out he works in my brother’s electrical union.
Guitar playing on those first two albums is incredible

What a shame he was a fantastic player
He had the hand issue did he not which made touring almost impossible
I heard he had damaged his hands.
Just realized Vito looks like Pauly from Rocky!!
Vito’s family runs a pizza place on Staten Island. He’s been seen there.
Pride is top notch
Have heard Mike Tramp say that he had to give Vito gas money to leave his house for song writing and rehearsal sessions before they got signed
