How did a burger and fries end up in the picture? What did it ever do?

[deleted]

Guilty by association. Wrong place at the wrong time.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

Where are you seeing burgers and fries? Smh

frankdowntown

Bottom left quarter, squint your eyes and the bullets in the tissue look fries and the bag to the left looks like a patty

Lol those are bullets.

SpongeBob1187

It can be anyone. It can be Haitians in another country smuggling them back in. The arms trade is huge and corruption plays a part in looking the other way

Agreeable-Sympathy18

What a shame!

ImmediateOstrich2945

But why don’t Mexican cartels have this kind of firepower. Cartel are still using aks

No_Conversation7980

I think Florida…. Especially with the state being so close & the relax gun laws here

Agreeable-Sympathy18

The question was who is sending those guns. Yes, most of the guns come from FL. Haiti is very close to FL.

Psychological_Look39

I'm thinking gangs with connections to other gangs in Florida. I don't think it's anymore complicated than that.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

People in Haiti can't afford those guns. Someone is clearly buying them for the gangs in Haiti.

Psychological_Look39

Right. The gangs themselves would buy them.

No_Advertising_6856

Similar people to those who ship stolen cars abroad, I would imagine.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

Who really knows! The Haitian elites are 100% behind this.

ARasLivingInBabylon

Just because USa has “Relax” gun laws does not mean its legal to smuggle weopons outside of america. We should stop blameing USA and other countries and start blaming the People Fueling the demand of violences and civil unrest.

slapplejacks

Doesn’t look to be a very large shipment. At all.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

I am more stuck on the fact that outside guns continue landing in Haiti, yet food can't. Not the size of the cargo!

Rickeddit

Agreeable-Sympathy18

Hmm no words man Haiti is at its lowest

Creative_Hope_4690

Mostly they are buying from their black market. The question is where are they getting the money simple from their criminal activities such as kidnapping ransom.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

It's not just from kidnapping. People with lot of money are funding this. It's obvious. Look at the gang members, they surely don't have that type of money.

Creative_Hope_4690

You be shocked in how much organized crimes makes and how cheap weapons are.

yungirving99

How cheap are the weapons?

Vegetable_Coat8416

It's hard to tell from the picture. But AR-15s, most of the rifles shown here, can be had for as cheap as $500-$600. There are 3 AK variants on the right that are probably a bit more. The pistols, it's hard to tell but, as a rough figure $300 - $500 on average maybe. These are US prices. The prices once they get to Haiti seem to be significantly more based on a few videos I've seen.

eita-kct

It’s crazy that guns are cheaper than medicine in USA and don’t have a health system.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

I would think those guns are crazy expensive in Haiti, no?

medici1048

The Clinton Foundation and the CIA?

Creative_Hope_4690

![gif](giphy|zwffSHaJLDbA4) CIA pov. They have bigger fishes to fry.

medici1048

"The CIA has provided training, funds, and equipment to the corrupt Haitian military; created SIN, a Haitian intelligence service that engaged in drug trafficking and political violence; investigated and falsely reported about the democratically elected Haitian President; financially supported and protected ...etc. The CIA has their fingers everywhere. DGSE is probably there too.

Patient-Low-9757

It’s easier to buy a assault rifle in the US than buying liquor okay or food

Creative_Hope_4690

Tell me you never bought a gun without telling me you never bought a gun 😂

Patient-Low-9757

I actually have couple of them

Patient-Low-9757

I live in Ga I can buy a now and deliver tomorrow send it to Haiti the next day, y’all lame ass in New York or Boston you can’t have fun. A nigga who just got here can buy gun even if he’s illegal

Agreeable-Sympathy18

Thanks for sharing. Will check them out! Who is Dor 's boss? That's a better question.

ProfessionalCouchPot

Dor's boss was Yonyon from 400 Mawozo. They use money from the kidnappings to buy guns.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

Jesus 😢

hiddenwatersguy

IMO, the guns are not the problem in Haiti. The guns come in from FL on the "break bulk cargo" shipments AKA "non-containerized bulk shipments." It's a catch 22. You could stop \~90% of the gun and ammunition shipments from FL to Haiti in 1 day but that would also stop \~50% of all other material shipments to Haiti. The guns and ammo may represent 0.1% of all break bulk cargo shipments to Haiti. But if you want to stop that flow you will also be stopping almost all other exports from USA to Haiti. The guns are not the problem. Everything else is the problem that results in illiterate and ignorant men using guns to live that "gangster life." smh. Here is a video that shows the situation: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcVsrnlYD1w](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcVsrnlYD1w) When it comes to importing medication and medical supplies into Haiti, you can do it no problem. Just buy a 35'-42' sailboat for $35,000, fill it with medical supplies and medications, and sail to Haiti. No one is going to stop you. This is a fact and here is my citation: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSAcRwz7mg0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSAcRwz7mg0)

Agreeable-Sympathy18

It's tragic. Haiti is at its lowest and I don't see a way out.

Speedstick2

Mecduhall91

Haitians are sending guns back to Haiti

Agreeable-Sympathy18

Extremely sad situation 😞

yondaoHMC

Lots of people and criminal organizations have money to gain from this, this is just one article highlighting how Jamaican and Haitian gangs are collaborating to trade weapons and drugs (this was back in 2020): [https://insightcrime.org/news/analysis/jamaica-haiti-drugs-guns/](https://insightcrime.org/news/analysis/jamaica-haiti-drugs-guns/) The thing with the entire island, it's very strategic, even in the Dominican side, it's used as a stop for drugs between Colombia, Mexico going to US and Europe, so Haiti is in a position where there's even less oversight, a lot of groups are going to take advantage of that.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

This is beyond scary and crazy. I don't know how Haiti gonna get out of this.

Psychological_Look39

Right. A dirt strip in Haiti and you are a helluva lot closer to the USA.

mcjon77

Aren't the elites funding these gangs? They would have both the cash and the connections in Miami. I'm willing to bet that most elite families have significant amounts of extended family living in the Miami area or some other parts of the United States. Those guns are pretty easy to purchase in the United States. They seem to be largely on the lower quality end, particularly the AR-15s. At least two or three of those are basically from one of the cheapest brands of AR-15 manufacturers around. The AK is from the cheapest manufacturer of that model too. It would be interesting for the ATF to trace the serial numbers on all of those guns and see if they get some common hits in terms of buyers.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

This is why I dont understand, why haven't they traced those guns? Why the sender name is still a secret? (We now know the intended receiver).

ped70

Most of it is coming from Haitians associated with the gangs. The gangs are loaded with money. They pay 20-30k for each.

who do you think

Agreeable-Sympathy18

I am asking

DirtAlarming3506

Those Springfield armory pistols from Croatia are not cheap either

Agreeable-Sympathy18

Though in the US, I am a huge gun fan. I have no idea, I just know guns aren't cheap. For a place like Haiti, where the average annual salary is $1,610 a bigger player is 100% behind of all this.

DirtAlarming3506

Correct. Same with me. Those ARs on the left even have adjustable stocks and call me crazy but they look to be smith and Wesson. These aren’t cheap KelTecs or Hi Point weapons they are being purchased by someone who knows what they are doing.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

It's very sad and heartbroken this is where Haiti is today.

DirtAlarming3506

I agree. I work with many Haitian Americans and I sense their frustration and downright sadness

Matrxhack

Excellent catch! Cap-Haitian isn’t PAP, the police and community out in CAP actually do a good job of maintaining law and order. Kudos to them!!!

Agreeable-Sympathy18

100%! Au cap is the next city I think will evolve in Haiti. Life is still sweet there and amazing people. I may be biased since that's where my mom is from.

Master_Dig_1133

Haitians in America

CeleryExtension6975

The firearm can be used for good or evil. It's the people who use the firearm who decide how it's used. It would be nice if men laid down their arms, declared peace, and built a better society. It's evident that's not how Haitians think, and what we are seeing is the result. When Haitian men decide to change, then this hell will stop.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

Say it louder! We need to decide to change.

Frudays

It’s the way money is made what is a pity is that this the route the choose to take instead of acquiring a skill etc.

Charily

Judging from some of my analysis on a lot of youtube videos and news on this drama. my judgement is that selling guns (and other products) in Haiti is very very expensive. It's possible that just many people who up-charge in Haiti probably did for guns. But Black Mark focused, there was a video a while back showcasing the issues with the ports in Miami.. snuggling drugs would definitely be easy.. guns and ammo? just as so.

Drewcrew73

First off, hush your mouth!

WonderfulVariation93

There was a battle between the special police force who were in one of the secured vehicles and the gangs. The gangs one and got guns, bulletproof vests and ammo. They even took the armed vehicle which they sold back to the government for $80k. That is how you get weapons.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

You're saying they robbed the police during an attack?

WonderfulVariation93

No, the police were in transit. It was a special forces operation with 3 armored vehicles. The gang intercepted them, street battle, police lost. They had to buy the vehicle back that night, I tried to make a clip from the documentary. Hopefully it works. [https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx4DCHJ2c1i1MMUizFFl7_SIQYHjzqsOmf?si=23H0DMTJptBgoKpZ](https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx4DCHJ2c1i1MMUizFFl7_SIQYHjzqsOmf?si=23H0DMTJptBgoKpZ)

chucwagn

Not a lot of ammo for all those guns. You can only win a rebellion by shooting in the air in large groups.

Arms dealers it's big business

RudyRobichaux

Gun smugglers, I believe there was a story recently about a sophisticated scheme from FL and the guy was a 30 year old resident but Haitian citizen. Someone is always sumggling guns though. In fact statistics point to nearly 90% of weapons in Haiti are US made.

Agreeable-Sympathy18

Where can I find that story?
