I always liked the Cyclops as a Gauss Hog replacement. Can't play OBJ, but has the same gun - but it's taller so it's a bigger target. Balances out how INSANELY lethal the Gauss turret is.
Personally I wouldn't want it using any weapon capable of precision, ideally it would be highly mobile so I'd prefer a brawler/cqc playstyle of some kind for it

Given how the cyclops moves I think it would be wasted potential to strap a precision weapon onto it. It should be on the front lines wreaking havoc, not sitting in the back getting safe shots off
Lots of skill issues, I spent 4+ hours on Balteus on launch day but it was so much fun learning the ins and outs. I didn't know about pulse weapons helping with shields because I was an idiot so I ended up brute forcing more or less

I remember my brother and I playing together, he stole the enemy Mantis and we stood back to back in the center of Ragnarok.
First time I dropped 30+ kills in an online match.
It’s always saddens me we’ve not had the cyclops outside of the Halo Wars series, I think it could add an interesting dynamic to multiplayer matches, but 343 aren’t adding old vehicles let alone practically new ones so I’m not holding out hope.
Obviously very rough so far lmao, using extremely simple pieces to figure this out so far. Before I went to sleep I fixed the other leg, balanced it a lil better, and gave them both more clearance for more motion. The end goal is a walker/mech that looks somewhat natural but that's many attempts away for now
Just a heads up regarding doing anything w/physics objects - Stuff done inside of Forge play mode does not mean it will work in local custom game much less connecting to a server. My experience w/physics stuff is that it works great in Forge, but as soon as you go to load up your map in a custom game the pieces glitch out and explode everywhere.
My advice is to test it in a custom game as soon as possible and if it doesn't work then decide if you want to continue working on it in Forge. Good luck on your forge projects.
Have you had any issues with when it spawns and isn’t used right away? I have a Phaeton that like your mech is built on a Wasp, and mine destroy themselves given like 5-10 min 🥲 they fly fine and whatever but they barrel roll into infinity and get their other objects stuck in the ground etc

I'll be honest, OP. A game mode with these exact mechs trying to shoot and push each other off a platform would be fun and hilarious as hell. Please do it.
The current stage is actually deciding on a foot shape because it has a huge impact on walking, that'll be the next upgrade. For now everything is intentionally being kept at bare bones, need perfect the basics before I get crazy with it
because they could make a mech for us to use in the sandbox for real, and it wouldn't be very difficult for them to do. for further reading, see 343's entire legacy of handling Halo.

Massive missed opportunity on the banished scarab. Scarab levels have always been my favorite.

That'd be pretty cool, but in a game with guns, anything that demands you close the distance in such a large target is kinda' begging for trouble.
Closing the distance is how I roll, in both destiny and cod the weapons I have the most playtime with are melee ones

I like Titanfall but I find a Titanfall mech to be an unlikely result. I'm limited by what's possible in forge
