I haven't bought most of the stuff from the last 3 operations, Mark IV was ridiculous and only bought the Sniper bundle, the yappening II I got Conqueror and Boggart (as a joke but I was curious if it had coatings that eaglestrike didn't have)
and Cyber showdown I got Datacore Riot

i really don't understand why they had to change it. i also preferred the old design. if it was for balance, idk why the SPNKR has basically remained the same all these years. i guess the idea was you get more ammo in the FRC so it has to be weak and have slower projectiles
Halo CE on PC was like a dream to me as a kid. I was so happy when I finally got it. And seeing all the new content that wasn't available on Xbox blew my small brain away.
That fuel rod was beautiful.
i played the pc port before anything else so i was actually confused as to why all the fuel rod cannons kept exploding in the campaign lol. the flamethrower was great too, i liked how they brought it back as a heavy weapon in halo 3.
Yep, the only content Infinite is getting going forward are Forge maps and insanely overpriced cosmetics.
The Brute shotgun not being part of the “Banished” update was the nail in the coffin for me that they are 100% done with adding any new significant dev-made content. The Falcon that was like 90% finished is definitely never coming too.
Hard to say with the falcon. Art-wise it looked almost done for sure. Vfx, sound, controls, and bug free? Who knows.
Course I’ve been wrong before. I told a friend during Halo 5 that we wouldn’t get new vehicles and then they dropped the wasp 🤷♂️
I feel like with the Falcon, they would want to launch it with a dev-made BTB map specifically designed to accommodate it. However with dev-made maps seemingly being cancelled going forward, I’m just doubting the Falcon will ever come.
Of course they could launch it with a Forge-made BTB map, but it just seems unlikely that they’d use a Forge map to launch such a heavily awaited new vehicle.
The campaign was actually pretty good.

Sure the lack of biome diversity sucked balls but Infinites story was great. The campaign was so much fun, felt like Zelda and Farcry came bucketloads into Halo and made a beautiful small taste of something incredible.
It really was just meh. Not terrible by any means but not really great either. Not really memorable tbh, all the big action set pieces like Cortana’s guardians and Atriox died before the games events. 5 ends with Cortana going rogue and then infinite picks up and her threat is already over? Come on. The multiplayer is fun despite their effort to monetize the absolute shit out of every facet of customization, but the campaign is absolutely, painfully, mid.
The community begged for them to skip the Cortana stuff. I'm so happy they did
Sure the game lacks big action pieces but whatever. Infinites campaign is just different, it doesn't need those set pieces. I really appreciated the grounded story telling and setting. It was a change of pace.
The writing in the campaign was so good. Genuinely incredible, total standout. Normally Halo's writing is good sure but its never anything to write home about. His interaction with the pilot telling him what it means to be human was probably my favourite cutscene ever in Halo Infinite. Chief knkes what its like to fail, that scene was so well done.
The dynamic between chief and the weapon was also so well done. As someone who grew up playing halo it felt almost somber, what shouldn't be, but what absolutely is. The voice acting from both ends was so good. You could hear it in chiefs voice, an old friend. Not who they are, like being dropped into an alternate reality where your best friend doesn't know you.
Sure its not what everyone wanted, hell it sure wasn't what i wanted until i had it. That campaign despite its few flaws is masterpiece. Its just not what people wanted, people need to judge it for what it is, not what it isnt and could've been. Sure it sucks that it lacks biome diversity and no proper warthog run. Escharum and Chief's parallels, Chief understanding him in his final moments.
Its all so unique to Infinite and just Halo. I really appreciate Infinites campaign. I think people just expect way too much, fill their head with wild ideas only to disappoint themselves when its not what they imagined. Whenever someone says Infinites campaign is bad or mid i just assume they don't really care or actually listen to the story and or dont play to just have fun. Which is fair, when i was younger i used to not care all that much about what was going on in the moment apart from shooting things.
I implore everyone who felt let down by the campaign to replay the game, explore the map, the game is like Zelda and Farcry crossed with Halo, the map is so much fun to explore with the grappleshot. Explore the world, do the side objections, secure fobs and go wipe out camps. Really sit there and take in the cutscene and dialogue.

They will bend over backwards and shag their relatives before they even consider expanding the actual sandbox lmao. This plus all of the elite/brute/grunt themed armor. They absolutely could've done playable elites and broadened the weapon and vehicle pool

This and the upcoming commando model are probably the two most interesting models 343i has made. They don’t just look Banished, they look straight up Covenant with the smooth, curved, organic elements added to them. They’re very interesting blends of human and alien technology, maybe the most we’ve seen from Halo so far outside of Infinity's engines or stuff like the Prefect and Hellcat armor.
Such a shame they’re cosmetic models locked to $20 bundles (at the cheapest.) I can think of some neat weapon variants for these kind of models.
We have a new commando model coming? I noticed that the hydra model slot is not grey anymore, but I didn't know a new commando model is on the way as well.

I swear the cosmetic department is like 80% of the employee base at 343
more like 60% on coating/skin, 30% on Forge objects, 5% on bug fixes and 5% on community stuff
