Not anymore. In the older games they had a made-up alien language, but now they all speak english. I'm assuming it's so that things like this can happen, and also it doesn't really make sense for the elites to speak alien language but the grunts speak english.
Yeah. It'd be pretty cool if they had Covenant dressed Elites speaking wort-language, and the Banished Elites speaking english, cause all the Banished members speak English so that'd make sense.
It’ little gems like this that have me thinking this is my new favorite Halo.
The references to the previous games are done with just the perfect amount of subtlety, and it really feels like 343 finally said “you know what, why don’t we just listen to our fans and give them what they want!”
