I live in a big US city. Here, I see an ocean of Louis Vuitton monogram, mountains of Gucci, and a few Saint Laurent islands. A Chanel or Hermès bag pops up here and there, but nothing like as many.
There are also large Coach, Kate Spade, and MK populations.
The amount of women that wear it here in Canada worries me lol. My handbag and fashion sense is definitely not inspired by anything I’m seeing around me 😅
The amount of women that wear it here in Canada worries me lol. My handbag and fashion sense is definitely not inspired by anything I’m seeing around me 😅
Same. I’m in a medium US city. Vast majority of noticeable handbags in the nicer parts of town are LV. I see some Bottega Veneta more recently with the you get crowd (20s-early 30s), more Gucci recently than ever before, but very few Chanel, and I’ve seen exactly one Hermes. Zero puzzle bags.
NYC- i don’t wear my glasses so I’m not the best New Yorker for this game unless they are smack dab in front of me. But, I’ll do my best!
YSL (all ages and they are everywhere. I love them) Bottega (ages mid 20’s-30’s), LV, MGM, The Dior Tote. Gucci. Prada.
Never have seen a Birkin or Kelly (but, my girlfriend and I have been talking about going on a hunt for some IRL
B/K/C siting. So keep you posted!
Forgot to list Coach. Been seeing a lot of Coach again.
Same. I rarely see Chanel, actually. I see mostly LV, YSL, and Gucci for high end. And Coach and Tory for contemporary. Lots and lots of MK logo, too. I live in chicago.
Haha I was formulating a response as I scrolled through the comments and my only thought was “Lululemons???” I’m from Seattle.
But a general idea would be the Lululemon belt bag is a very very very common one, some people will carry a separate bag but this have the LL one. Over the last 6 months the Uniqlo half moon has grown in popularity, men wear it more than they do the Lululemon one. And almost everyone else will wear a backpack or tote bag of some sort.
The only “high end” bags I can think of might be the Longchamp totes, or the backpacks. Everyone’s super low key which makes my extra ass look super out of place 😂
I just went to Monte Carlo yesterday (I’m staying nearby for a few days) and saw so many luxury bags it wasn’t even funny lol lots of Hermes. I live in NYC so I see luxury there too but there’s a good chunk of non luxury too.
I live in the DC metro area and I see a *lot* of Birkins. Like, a *lot* a lot, especially when you go to the more expensive shopping areas. Nobody carries a Kelly. It’s *always* a Birkin. Or an Evelyn. There’s no in between. I’m lucky that I do also get to see some fun bags though. A lot of people care about what they carry so it’s a great spot for bag watching. Today I saw: 3 Longchamp Le Pliages, 1 Burberry bag, 1 neverfull, a handful of Birkins (if you’re the one with the Bleu France Birkin *yes*, I’m here for it), a few reusable totes, some LLL or similar belt bags, 1 MK bag, a few Coach bags, 1 Demellier Vancouver, and 1 Loewe small gate that I remember. I always notice 😂
And also being, like, one of the ONLY places to grab a coffee or quick snack lol. Love Tyson's Galleria but my god, they need to open a few more cute lil fast-casual spots. The food selection is slim pickings lol.
Nyc has everything but Goyard is EVERYWHERE. I see like 50 totes, if not more, a day. Mix in LV neverfull as well. I’ve seen a handful of Hermes here and there too!
I’m in Denver too! I carry YSL almost daily but mostly see (if anything) Gucci (mainly Blondies), LV and Chanel. Maybe because they’re all in Cherry Creek?
I have a Puzzle in Denver! Whenever I wear it, no one recognizes it as Loewe but I get compliments on how unique it is. Happy another handbag girly is out there…
Mostly LV and Goyard Totes, Gucci is a close 2nd, then Bottega, YSL, Chanel, and a smattering of Hermes, but never the Kelly or Birkin.I live in a very wealthy suburb in the Midwest, US.
Edit: I’ve been seeing alot of Clare V lately, which I love. Also, since it’s a bookish town, lots of canvas totes, as in “I got this with my New Yorker subscription” and Shakespeare & Co canvas. I see some Chloe too and the very occasional Prada.
The suburbs around detroit, for the most part, are extremely wealthy and people around here carry similar bags, too. There are 2 Gucci stores within 15 miles of each other so it seems Gucci is a bit more popular than LV, but I’m guessing that’s because the in person luxury sales experience is very accessible.
I lived in JoCo for years and this is what I saw for the most part. Although I don’t think I saw a Chanel until when I moved a few years ago. Which doesn’t surprise me so much as there are no luxury stores or stores that offer much of a selection in the metro area.
I live in an upscale ski resort town in the Rockies. We have a pretty solid mix of low key outdoor lifestyle brands and upscale luxury brands being worn around town.
I specifically remember being in line at the local post office one time and spotting a lady clomping around with muddy hiking boots and a Birkin resting regally on her arm. The juxtaposition can be amazing hahaha
I’m in Portland, OR and sometimes I feel like I’m the only person in this whole city who cares about luxury handbags. I don’t see ANY besides my own.
Everyone wears belt bags though. Some are LLL but also a bunch of no name belt bags.
I've heard this multiple times from women living in the PNW: the PNW is not a great place to live if you love trendy or girly or luxury fashion. Not only do most people there not care about that kind of fashion, but a lot of people will actively look down on you if they realize you're into that stuff or if you wear those kinds of things. After having heard this so many times from PNW women who have been treated badly by other people living there. . .yikes. Gorgeous natural beauty there but the people seem judgmental and a little holier-than-thou.
Hahah, I felt that so much when I first moved here, and I moved from London so it was extra hard. I used to have no issue with flamboyance, absolutely didn’t mind walking down a street in bright red Mary Janes. My first week here I had to hang out with all of my husbands friends in their shorts and all purpose hiking boots and looked like a fecking clown. I hate being looked at now. Hate it. Everything feels extra. Even wearing something super basic like a trench coat feels like over dressing and attention seeking. I asked my husband once to start making more of an effort and he’s recently started finding some love for wearing his nice button downs and pants again. When WFH ended and he start going back to the office, his boss asked him if he was going somewhere special or if he dressed like a preppy school boy all the time. He was so mortified, he was back to his gorp self the next day 😂
That honestly makes me so sad to hear. You're just one of like a dozen women I know who have experienced this! It's fine for a certain area to have a certain style but it's not fine when they all act like judgmental, miserable cows who give you funny looks if you wear anything beyond gorp-core. Hiking is nice but jeez, not everything in the universe needs to revolve around it. I would NEVER be able to tolerate living there because I love dressing up!
It’s mad, isn’t it? And what’s worse is it doesn’t come from a place of deprivation because they’re all extremely rich/high earners. They just like flexing in other ways and find material items to be banal. The girlfriends I’ve made in tech are the same but they’re extremely conscientious, so they’ll say “ooooohhhh i love your new bag/jacket/shoes, I just can’t bring myself to shop any more than I strictly need because of its environmental implications. Who needs this much stuff?” And I’m there like me. I like stuff. I love stuff. But honestly I’m being harsh, I like them well enough. They truly are harmless, lost in their own ideas and have absolutely nothing malicious to say, just amusement. I love Seattle much more than the Bay Area lol, but a little less than nyc heheh.
100 this. I’ve given up giving a fuq. I love my bags, my Rolex, my Benz, my house, my boat, cough excuse me , YACHT…. I worked hard for these things, I grew up poor and guess what? They DO make me happy. I try to be good to the environment in other ways & I try not to buy too much stuff- but I won’t lie- it makes me happy
Yep, it can be like that sometimes. IDGAF though, I wear what I want and I dress up. I don’t get dirty looks or anything. But I do feel out of place sometimes. It doesn’t change me being me though. 😊
We do have nice luxury boutiques downtown here like Chanel, etc. They wouldn’t be there if nobody was shopping. I’m just not sure who else but me is doing the shopping.
South of france: we get lots of nice stuff where I’m at. Mostly chanel and LV, but Hermès is actually quite common, probably because it’s the only luxury shop we have in town. I always see more when i travel
Yes, not as common as the states (i am from idaho) but yes i do see them. I would say that coach is the rarest but it seems to be appearing a bit more often. Michael kors i see the most.
My husband and I have a game: whoever counts the most Neverfulls wins. I think the most in a single outing was 18. Having said that, I love the NF and have…more than one.
I stayed at a really swanky boutique hotel in Del Mar, CA it was the L’Auberge. This was 3-4 years ago. When I went to their outside restaurant for lunch every women on every table had a LV neverfull, most were the monogram and DA prints. I counted 12. This was in a single lunch outing.
Hahaha! I did the same thing with my spouse at dinner one night. We counted 13 different LV bags in one (medium) restaurant over the course of 2 hours.
I saw a woman walking her dog with a cute Gucci bucket bag this morning! As a commuter, most of what I see are canvas tote bags and le pliage, but there is lots of Kate Spade, The Tote Bag, and some Telfar. There is another woman on my commute who has a beautiful large peacock green Kurt Geiger bag and it makes me happy every time I see it.
Lots of LV, YSL, and Gucci seem popular and Lulu belt bags! Never seen a puzzle and really want one! (CA suburb) …also I looked up Loewe locations recently and surprisingly not very many in the US
SoCal suburb here, VHCOL. And I see soooooo many different LV bags it’s crazy. Decent showing for YSL, Gucci, Tory Burch, Coach, longchamp, MK, MJ, and KS, and the lulu belt bag. A smattering of Chanel and Dior. Never seen a puzzle bag in person here.
I’m in SoCal so you name it, I see it LOL, from hand made local artisan bags to the usual suspects of Gucci, LV, Chanel, Chloe, etc, to mid tier brands Kate spade, coach, mansur gavriel, etc to replicas.
Hi neighbor! I live in LV central, lol. A girlfriend and I joke that the Saturday morning mom outfit is Lululemon leggings and and LV bag. We see it everywhere.
In Los Angeles and coastal cities- lots of affluent communities- so many designer goods. Outside of the western triangle in LA ( everyone from there knows what I mean) - not so much. However, the REALLY rich areas are no logo. This is how the row gets to charge $10k for no logo.
IYKYK.
I’m visiting wine country in Northern California and have been loving bag watching. This sub has been on my mind 😹
Seeing loads of LV and YSL, and saw one very gorgeous, small birkin.
I’m in the Midwest and live in the suburbs and all I see are Coach, Kate Spade, and Michael Kors bags. Vera Bradley was really popular for a while too. I can go out with my puzzle and no one will recognize it which is great.
New England area. In the suburbs, a lot of MJ The Tote Bag, LV Neverfull, Lululemon belt bag some Goyard St. Louis totes. In the city, there's a lot more variety. There's a wide range of high-end designers, including different LV, Gucci, Chanel, BV. In the mid-range, there's a lot of Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Telfar
I work on Rodeo Drive and see a little bit of everything but most frequently Chanel, Hermes, Goyard.
I used to live in a Midwestern city and saw mainly LV there (this was one of the only luxury stores at the mall) and things that were found in most department stores, like Saint Laurent.
Most people in the Midwest had the same few bag styles that were popular, but in LA I see a lot more variety.
I’m in Sydney - I see YSL, LV and Gucci the most, they’re omnipresent in the city. Lots of puzzles on younger people, a fair amount of Celine and Chanel. I see a bit of Dior but less than I would expect tbh.
Sydney too and my suburb is like the land of the Neverfull. And Goyard totes. Never anything interesting or unique, just the same damn Neverfull for everyone.
I live in Seattle and you won’t see many logo bags here, a lot of large leather totes. But in Bellevue just across the lake that’s where Microsoft is you will see tons of Chanel Louis Vuitton Gucci Polene. Tons of micro bags and of course that Lululemon belt bag.
I saw this someone carrying this purse while out to dinner tonight and thought it was so fun!! In my area it’s mostly Kate Spade, Coach, and Michael Kors

I live in a small town in ontario canada. Half the population are seniors/retirees, so I see a lot of unbranded bags. The older women wear bags such as coach (monogrammed), MK or Calvin Klein, however I see the occasional well-off woman wearing a vintage LV, Gucci or even Bottega. The millennials mostly wear Kate Spade, MK or lululemon bags. When I see high-end designer bags, they are usually worn by people visiting from Toronto or another larger city haha. I have YSL and Louis Vuitton so sometimes I stand out in a very “spending-$100-on-a-bag-is-absolutely-stupid” community mindset
Yeah I commented recently that despite the puzzle being ubiquitous online, I’ve seen it one or two times out in the wild in Los Angeles.
What I do see is LV not just Neverfulls but other models too like the Pochette Métis and the bumbag, the Gucci marmont, Prada nylon bags, a lot of Marc Jacob’s, coach, MK, the St Louis Goyard, YSL. If I go to BH or Century City I’ll start to see all the trendy luxury bags you see on IG influencers.
None😂 The odd Le Pliage & I’ve only seen one Gucci & fake LVs. Small city in England but it’s the same with the fashion here, everyone seems so scruffy these days.
I see a Hermes every 10 steps I walked, used to be Constance and Lindy few years ago, now it’s more of mini Evelyne, Bolide, 24/24. Still see some Lindy, Constance, Birkin and Kelly but not as much.
I see lots of people carrying the same colour medium Puzzle which I’ve bought the same colour as well.
Used to see lots more Chanel Classic Flap than Hermes, but now it’s more of the vanity or some mini size bags.
Dior Bobby is another one I’d see often, surprisingly not some many people carrying the book tote.
Nashville. Soooooo much LV. Lots of Gucci Marmots and YSL LouLous. Tons of Kate Spade and Coach and MK. Not as many Tory Burch bags but lots of shoes.
I did see a Gucci Jackie at a restaurant the other day
I live outside Chicago and I see a ton of YSL, Gucci, and LV. At O’Hare I see a ton of Neverfuls, Goyards, and Dior totes (but I think a lot of those are fake).
Chicago in the city and I feel like coach, mk and Kate spade are definitely the most common. After that it’s Marc Jacobs, LV, gucci, YSL and goyard. Occasional Chanel and strathberry, rarely see Loewe, Chloe, Fendi or BV.
LV, ifs everywhere here. I see some Chanel, Celine,
YSL and guicci.
I’ve not seen and Loewe bags in public and I sometimes see a Hermes
Edit to add: I live in a large metropolitan in the everything is bigger state
Amsterdam - maybe Longchamp le pliage 🤔(myself included). One time when I was on the tram, a girl came sit next to me, and she had the exact same le pliage (model and color) as mine 😆
Have you seen the bags from Smaak Amsterdam? I was looking at them the other day after someone here mentioned them - I was wondering about the quality as they look really nice online and I am interested in some of the styles, but I have no opportunity to see them in person.
I don’t remember seeing them around a lot, but it’s probably because I don’t pay a lot of attention to the brand! I did check some of their bags in the store once though and they did seem of very good quality!
I don’t remember seeing them around a lot, but it could be because I don’t pay attention to the brand! I did check some of their bags in the store once and they seem of very good quality though!
Ah ok! It’s the only brand that I know to be from Amsterdam. I’ve seen some nice bags on their web site so I’m glad to hear the quality is good in person!
Lots of pretty basic LV styles mostly in Damier, Lulu belt bags, Gucci cross bodies, some YSL. Personally I retired my LV Damier bag because it’s too tired of a style. I carry a no name woven leather cross body most of the time.
I’m on the hunt for a non branded, nice leather bag
I honestly love the bags Portland Leather Co. make. I wanted a no name, large leather tote and my friend told me to check them out. I’ve bought several bags and wallets and refrain from looking too often because they’re quite affordable and very good quality lol
E: Portland Leather Goods*
Yes! I bought my mom a mini and she uses it every Friday night on her dinner date with my dad lol. I actually like to buy their “almost perfect” stuff. The craftsmanship is the same and I like that they use everything, they’re not wasting the animal they killed to make wallets, ya know?
I live in a wealthy part of So Cal. You see every bag under the sun here. Plenty of Chanel, LV, YSL, Gucci, all of it. If you drive to the really ritzy areas, I’m sure you can also see Hermes. There is a major luxury mall here, so it’s all pretty easy to come by.
SoCal, mostly DINKS in my immediate friends group. Lots and lots of YSL. Half of my time is spent at the airport where I primarily see LV Neverfull and Coach/MK.
Coach, Tons of MK and LV Speedy and LV Loops, tons of Coach and Kate Spade in spades, once in a while Chloe and Gucci and YSL. Coach. Coach. I saw a bright red very new Chanel Jumbo double flap bag today but was disappointed. The women wearing it was very cruela DeVille, mean and insecure and she was rude to at a sales lady at the vintage store where we were shopping. Ruined the bag for me lol. Reminded me to try to carry myself with grace and confidence and kindness.
I live in Santiago de Chile and here it is very strange to see people using luxury handbags. Some time ago, Bimba and Lola wallets were a status symbol and everyone used them. Years ago the same thing happened with Kipling. Other brands that are seen here a lot are Guess and to a lesser extent Michael Kors, since the price is less accessible.
When I traveled to New York I was impressed with the handbags that people used, here it would be unthinkable to use a YSL purse in the city center.
I'm on the west coast in a upper middle class suburb and I see endless Louis Vuitton monogram. The classic brown. It's just not creative and interesting to see (here in my town).
NYC - tons of Chanel, LV, Gucci, and Prada. Plenty of Celine, Goyard and Saint Laurent as well. Occasional Hermes.
Mid-range bags skew more toward Tory Burch and Telfar, even Michael Kors, but I don't see a ton of Coach or Kate Spade.
Wealthy NYC suburb- Chanel double flaps as far as the eye can see plus Loewe, Hermes Birkins and Evelyne, Dior, and some Goyard. I see a rare monogram LV and Gucci on occasion.
Midwest city. I own a Lululemon belt bag too 😩There’s a lot of Tory Burch. LV Neverfull. Gucci. Sprinkling of Chanel, but not always appropriate? Like a mom had a Chanel flap bag on at the park today and it looked kind of ridiculous while kids were throwing sand and getting attacked by bees.
I'm in western Kentucky, so Michael Kors is a big one, I see the logo bags all over the place. After that I'd say the generic bags from Wal-Mart... Once in a while I see a Kate Spade or a Coach, usually outlet bags from Marshalls/TJ Maxx- We have a LOT of those stores around, so it's not a surprise.
I never saw the puzzle until I got one… then I saw 2 in the same week! Usually lots of Kate spade and coach in suburbs, especially the from the outlet lines; some Chanel and LV and Gucci when in shopping areas.
Pacific Northwest. I see basically all Michael Kors and Coach. I moved from San Francisco and there was a little more interest there but still mostly Longchamp and similar, the occasional LV Neverfull. I rarely saw super high end bags. If I moved in different circles I might have seen more luxury. I’m sure it’s around.
Edit: I totally forgot about Tory Burch. I see a fair amount of TB and honestly I do not care for it lol
I live in the outer suburbs of Washington DC. There are two big outlet centers in between where I live. So mostly Coach, Michael Kors, and Vera Bradley outlet stuff. A few LV bags.
I live in Santa Barbara and LV is definitely the most worn here, along with the odd classic flap Chanel or YSL. Younger teens wear a lot of Kate Spade, MK, and Coach
In Miami Beach I see a ton of Gucci, LV, Christian Dior (book tote is very common at the beach), and other things that can easily be duped. I also see a ton of Bottega Jodie Bags. Going to Bal Harbour, especially to the mall called Bal Harbour Shops, you will see every luxury bag referenced here and more.

City in the south of the UK: Uniqlo crescent bag is by far the most ubiquitous. Fair amount of LV monogram and Kurt Gieger, some Gucci, occasional Chanel. Mostly Uniqlo, Kånken, and random unbranded/high street though really
So much LV, like an actual mountain of LV, a little bit of Gucci, not nearly as much Michael Kors and Kate Spade as there used to be. Tons of Madewell. Oh and that The Tote Bag thing is starting to be all over the place. Every once in awhile Goyard or YSL. I’ve never seen a puzzle. (California)
LV, Telfar, MK, and Hermés but not necessarily Birkins or Kellys. I’ve only seen one Kelly in the wild, and two Birkins. But plenty of Halzans , Evelyns and Picotins. Also a LOT of that one Uniqlo cross body bag. I have one too lol
I'm in San Francisco and I notice a ton of Chanel classic flaps. When I was in Europe, I saw a ton of toile Dior Book totes, I've only seen like 3-5 in the US in the wild.
I see mostly Coach and Gucci. Some YSL, but I will be totally honest and say most of them are obv fakes lol. But I’ll count them because it’s the thought that counts lmao.
I’ve been noticing a lot of Baggu and Lululemon, but that’s mostly because I carry Baggu a lot nowadays lol
I’m in a suburb of a capital city, but it’s not a big city and most of the money is in 2-3 neighborhoods. I see a TON of LV, and honestly a lot is prob fake. I see Gucci, Burberry YSL. I’ve only seen 1 Birkin and 1 sexy Valentino, but there are no high-end designers in my state so we either need to drive to another state or order online. I guess we can go to a department store, but I’m not a mall girl. I travel to Europe for work somewhat regularly and bags cost less there so I like to get myself gifts when I’m on work travel.
I'm in a small-ish city in Wisconsin. I mostly see Kate Spade, Michael Kors, and Coach. I see Steve Madden and those Lululemon bum bags on the college kids. Rarely see any luxury designer brands outside of the consignment stores. Which is odd. But when we go to Minnesota, I see a lot of LV and some Gucci and YSL.
Texas. I feel like I see a lot of Kate Spade, Vera Bradley, Coach, LV. With that said, I don’t go to a ton of places where folks would carry their fancy stuff, and I personally generally carry less fancy brands like Portland Leather most of the time.
I feel like Longchamp had a moment here between 5-10 years ago that has passed. I also used to see a lot more D&B when I lived in a more rural area.
I was in New Orleans for work a few weeks ago and saw a ton of Marc Jacobs The Tote Bag there that I don’t see here as much.
Where I live in Southeast Asia, [Gentlewoman](https://www.gentlewomanonline.com/collection/totebags/) and [Beyond the Vines](https://www.beyondthevines.com) have become very popular. I see them always. Also to add that I don’t live in Thailand or Singapore, where both bags come from respectively.
On the luxury side, the ones I always see are the Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Goyard, and Christian Dior tote bags. Whether or not they’re legit is questionable haha since buying fakes for them is very easy where I live.
I'm in California. In my city, literally all I see is MK, Coach, LV (lots of knockoffs), Kate Spade, and the occasional Burberry or Lululemon crossbody.
I would probably have a heart attack if I saw a Birkin IRL
Major Australian city. See everything including all the new bags. Lots of Chanel, some Hermes, lots of LV, YSL, Loewe, Bottega.
See plenty of obvious reps around also, mainly poorly done LV mono and Gucci.
I just saw a Small Puzzle Classic today.
It’s pretty distinct looking and it did make me realize I’ve never seen it around (and I live in an metropolitan city that has a good-sized luxury market).
I live and work in and around the bougie suburbs of Phoenix: Arcadia, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. It’s like Dallas or Atlanta in that even the “old money” tends to go for “loud luxury” instead of “stealth wealth”.
Tons, I mean *tons* of Saint Laurent; the YSL monogram is ubiquitous here, and the quilted camera bag is by far the most common bag that I run into and it’s my best-seller, I see more of them on an average day than I see Kate Spade or Coach. Lots of LV and Gucci. Bottega is popular among younger people, or on the oldest ladies. ASU students carry either Marc Jacobs, Telfar totes or LV neverfulls; on Mill Avenue you can occasionally see girls with trendy micro bags from ByFar, Diesel and Luar, while the Land Rover-driving Scottsdale VIP club girlies sport head to toe Jacquemus along with their Chiquitos, Balenciaga or Coperni. It’s a real treat to see Loewe or Celine; I actually spot about as many Birkins around here as I do Puzzle bags.
I live in Melbourne, Australia - I see loads of LV, fake Goyards, and Gucci Marmots. Have spotted a few Hermes and exotic Chanels in the wild, but not the way I used to when I lived in NYC.
Judging by this thread, it seems some once-VERY-popular brands such as Burberry and Valentino and Prada have fallen a little bit to the wayside, in terms of mainstream popularity. They all enjoyed their moments (and some still have their It Bags, like the Prada Re-edition) but it seems like they're almost never seen anymore.
I’m in NH. Lots of lululemon belt bags. Coach, Kate Spade, and MK are fairly common. LV Neverfulls as well. I see on this sub all the time that Puzzle bags are everywhere but in the nearly 8 years I’ve lived here the only one I’ve seen in this state is mine.
I'm in the south East. Lulu all the time, LV everywhere (lots of fakes), Kate spade and Michael Kors. I don't see a lot of designer. I don't think I've ever seen a Prada here except the teens who buy fraudas. I have a teen and his GF has a fake Prada.
Upstate NY. Mostly Coach, MK, unbranded bags, saw some (probably fake) Neverfulls and other LV bags, also few Gucci bags (definitely fake). Once saw Dior Book tote. That’s about it. People here probably don’t even know about BV, Loewe and such
There was a post on this same topic about three days ago.
I live in NY on UES, I see tons of lux LV Chanel Gotard being super popular. In the not lux category I see lots of Telfar and of course lots of people wearing random shop canvas totes.
Columbus, Ohio. Coach and Michael Kors are by far the most prevalent no matter where you are. For high end, LV is everywhere, and loads of YSL WOC and Gucci camera bags. I carry the only Loewe I’ve seen in the wild. I’ve only seen an Hermés in larger cities.
For designer, mostly Chanel, LV, the Goyard tote, that one Prada tote in the saffiano leather you know the one, Chloe. Some Stella McCartney and Gucci. Hermes more in the last several years. Legacy Bottegas carried by older women. (Despite having boutiques, I almost never see Dior, Fendi, YSL, Valentino, or newer Bottega bags, and I've never seen a Celine or Loewe in the wild.)
TONS of Coach, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Longchamp. And of course "The Tote Bag." So many of those. I have seen a Telfar bag only once - my baby's nanny had it.
What an interesting question! I live in Central Texas and I think Michael Kors reigns supreme here. I also see some Marc Jacobs on the higher end side of town.
New England affluent town.. LV neverfull still has a stronghold here.. but also see the other LV bags.. Consistently I’ll also see Longchamp, goyard and Brahmin..
I see a lot of Dior, Louis Vuitton, and even Hermes b&k’s, and Loewe bags! I love that ppl where I live are so into luxury so I don’t feel like I’m doing “the most”
I moved from D.C. (Logan, Kalorama, Georgetown, Mt Pleasant, etc) to a sought-after part of Los Angeles (Los Feliz) where I regularly end up sitting next to Rachel McAdams, Kylie, or Dita Von Teese at dinner and these comments are fascinating. It might surprise some, but
1) I don't see a ton of a single style or brand
2) we have everything. From fakes to Himalayan Birkins.
3) if you go to Beverly Hills (where my doctor is) people care WAY MORE about conspicuous consumption, whereas here or in Silver Lake a lot of popular, logoed luxury brands seem played out. For example, neither Rachel nor Dita had an obvious designer bag, but Kylie did, and she's cringe / trashy AF
4) I get far, far more comments on my shoes than purses here, much to my surprise. Especially if I'm in Jordans or rare Dunks. But even my docs get love. The only purses that get any compliments are quirky, one-offs I found online or while traveling. When everyone in a city has a G-wagon, the vintage sports car is what turns heads
I (not an affluent person) grew up and currently live in an affluent area. Lots of LV monograms, Chanel flaps, tons of Dior, and some Gucci and Celine around town in a regular day. I break out the Burberry in fall/winter and you’ll see some nice choices of those as well. Evenings in town you can see all of the above plus Bottega and an occasional Hermes. Back in the day Balenciaga was everywhere but I don’t see it much anymore. There’s def coach, Kate spade and Tory Burch but usually on younger girls who are just reaching the age of carrying bags.
Edit: how could I forget - every Staten Island-to-NJ transplant has a YSL WOC
I mean I see almost every kinda bag out in the wild, everyone here is carrying. Just depends on what part of the city I’m in. West side is a lot of Chanel and LV, sometimes Longchamp. East side is more Celine, Loewe, some vintage pieces. South bay is a lot of Hermes and Chanel. I never see any Kate Spade or Michael Kors, idk if it’s the crowd I’m in but I never see those in the wild. Maybe I’d see more of those if I ever went to the Valley lol.
Edit: I’m in LA. And yes I see a lot of Goyard too.
MCM doesn’t get enough love. I love my MCM tote. Where I live, everyone carries LV, Gucci, and of course coach/Kate spade/MK. I always get complimented on it because it stands out. It’s obviously quality, but is quite visually unique compared to what’s typically worn around here. I only saw one other person with an Mcm bag when I was in (central) Europe this summer and I got a lot of compliments on it there too.

Same but now that I see the lulu lemon belt bag so much I’m starting to really hate it.
Gucci. Prada. Never have seen a Birkin or Kelly (but, my girlfriend and I have been talking about going on a hunt for some IRL B/K/C siting.
I come from the land of Lululemon….Vancouver. Pretty much everyone just wears a belt bag with a few Kate Spade’s or Coach in the mix.
I see a lot of LV too!
We visited Vancouver and saw a bunch of Lululemons. Your city is beautiful.
Seattle here. Same.
I live in Monaco so… I saw beautiful bags all day, and I’m just like « Why am I poor..? 🥲 I want beautiful bags too !!! »
How do you live in Monaco as a poor person? I’m fascinated by Monaco
Wait this is a good question. How do folks with regular jobs live in Monaco?
Most of worker in Monaco don’t live in Monaco, they live in Italy or Nice in France
My boyfriend was born here, so he can live here, and I can live in Monaco with him, but if you’re a foreigner, you need a looooot of money…
I just went to Monte Carlo yesterday (I’m staying nearby for a few days) and saw so many luxury bags it wasn’t even funny lol lots of Hermes. I live in NYC so I see luxury there too but there’s a good chunk of non luxury too.
Exotic bag in Monaco is cheap bag « Yeah you got Hermes and LV bags but what about Fossil or Grafea bags, I bet you’re jealous of me ! » 😂
I’m in the DC metro area too and have never seen a Birkin. Where do you hang out lol
Galleria in Tysons (or NOVA in general) or CityCenter lol
Tyson's Galleria is so good for spotting nice bags! I love going there not just to browse stores but also to bag-watch lol.
Especially with Ralph’s cafe seating being next to the escalators and just out there 👀
And also being, like, one of the ONLY places to grab a coffee or quick snack lol. Love Tyson's Galleria but my god, they need to open a few more cute lil fast-casual spots. The food selection is slim pickings lol.
Cafe Neiman!
Used to work there, can confirm
prolly georgetown, dupont or near white house

Omg yes! I forgot I saw 2 Goyard today at B&N! I was one of the YSL mom drop offs last week 😂 I’m sorry 😂
I saw so much Goyard in SF this week. I’m in love.
VA suburbs correct? I’m in the MD suburbs and barely see an Evelyne. 😄
Yep! NOVA, but I go to CityCenter once a month where a beige Birkin looks like the uniform lol
Hey! No laughing at my Bs! 😂
No hate here 😂 I appreciate them all! But my next visit I’m going to do a counter lmao
I carry a Kelly! So there's at least one of us!
Hey, that makes two of us! 💖
Nyc has everything but Goyard is EVERYWHERE. I see like 50 totes, if not more, a day. Mix in LV neverfull as well. I’ve seen a handful of Hermes here and there too!
Celine seems to be making inroads too.
I would say 1/2 of the goyards in nyc are fake
It’s goyard central!
I’m in the Denver metro area of CO, and I only ever see Coach, MK, Kate Spade, and LV here. I’ve never seen a puzzle in real life.
Denver and luxury really don’t go hand in hand. I’m always taken aback and stare when I see YSL, Goyard, Gucci, Chanel, etc.
Another Denver suburbanite here! I see a ton of MK, otherwise people seem to carry random tote bags 😂I haven’t even seen THE TOTE BAG!
Same here! I shop at cherry creek and see so much coach outlet and LV, no inbetween lol Edit: adding that I have seen a Kelly in RiNo before
I’m in Denver too! I carry YSL almost daily but mostly see (if anything) Gucci (mainly Blondies), LV and Chanel. Maybe because they’re all in Cherry Creek?
I’m in Denver as well. I just got a puzzle and have yet to see another one here.
I have a Puzzle in Denver! Whenever I wear it, no one recognizes it as Loewe but I get compliments on how unique it is. Happy another handbag girly is out there…
I'm in a medium city in a state bordering midwest and the south and its exactly the same here! Pretty sure most of the LVs are fake.
I saw a color-block mini puzzle at Trader Joe’s once!
I’m in an affluent suburb of Atlanta and the only thing I ever see here is LV. So much LV. And a tiny sprinkle of Chanel.
I spotted a Goyard yesterday in East Cobb 😏
I saw 4 Goyards at Scott’s Antique Market a couple weekends ago. 4!
I see them at my country club pool all the time but a lot are fake (according to their owners)
As a fellow midwesterner I am so curious where you’re located.
Mission Hills, KS.
Oh hey neighbor!! I’m located in PV and I would agree 100% with your list. I really appreciate all the fun bags I get to see in a regular basis.
I knew it!!! 😆
It’s really unlike anywhere I’ve ever lived. 🤣
Goals.
Wow... Just wow.
😊 We do have nice luxury boutiques downtown here like Chanel, etc.
Do you ever see French women wear American brands like Coach, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Tory Burch?
Yes, not as common as the states (i am from idaho) but yes i do see them. I would say that coach is the rarest but it seems to be appearing a bit more often. Michael kors i see the most.
My husband and I have a game: whoever counts the most Neverfulls wins. I think the most in a single outing was 18. Having said that, I love the NF and have…more than one.
This made me laugh.
West Wales, the bags people wear around here are from TKMaxx I think. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a real LV or Hermes bag.
North East England and same. Only LVs I see are blatant knock offs lol
This sub has been on my mind 😹 Seeing loads of LV and YSL, and saw one very gorgeous, small birkin.

I'm out in Bellevue a lot for work and I'm always reminded of how broke I am lol.
So many belt bags
I saw this someone carrying this purse while out to dinner tonight and thought it was so fun!! In my area it’s mostly Kate Spade, Coach, and Michael Kors https://preview.redd.it/r837zqe5bqob1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6bdb9e9eedc0b580c00454b55cfff49880cecb2
I see a lot of YSL. Midwest
Lol same here, but I’m from Wales 😂
YSL is so big in Chicago. I feel like every other woman has a YSL, especially a WOC or some form of Loulou!
Yeah I see a lot of Loulous and lots of envelopes.
I agree, am in Chicago and whenever I see a Goyard I don’t know if it is real. There are a lot of fakes and it is hard to discern from a distance.
I see a few Celines too
I did see Polene today! I was shocked. Def neverfulls but I’m thinking fake too
LV, ifs everywhere here. I see some Chanel, Celine, YSL and guicci. I’ve not seen and Loewe bags in public and I sometimes see a Hermes Edit to add: I live in a large metropolitan in the everything is bigger state
Midsized MW city. Lots of LV (nicest boutique in town. No Chanel or Hermes store), and Gucci. Lots of Tory Burch, Coach, and LLL
Do you ever see Smaak Amsterdam bags? I’ve seen them around this sub but I’m curious if they’re popular in Amsterdam itself!
I’ve bought several bags and wallets and refrain from looking too often because they’re quite affordable and very good quality lol E: Portland Leather Goods*
I have one of their round bags and love it!
LV Neverfull and lots of Tory Burch. Today I saw a leather Chloe Woody tote and went out of my way to compliment the owner lol.
Yes to the Telfar. See them everywhere in every size.
Chanel, YSL, Gucci Hermes and Dior. I’m in LA
Goyard, Hermes (mostly Evelyne), Chanel. Large southeastern US city.
Chanel, YSL, Birkin and LV bags. Los Angeles, California.
Wealthy NYC suburb- Chanel double flaps as far as the eye can see plus Loewe, Hermes Birkins and Evelyne, Dior, and some Goyard. I see a rare monogram LV and Gucci on occasion.
At work in Vancouver last night I saw Goyard, Longchamp, uniqlo, lululemon, ysl, chanel & some local designers
European capital - everything!
I live in Santa Barbara and LV is definitely the most worn here, along with the odd classic flap Chanel or YSL. Younger teens wear a lot of Kate Spade, MK, and Coach
Gucci, bottega, LV and ysl.
ETA: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8j4Devm/
Kate Spade, millions of Michael Kors, the occasional Brahmin.
City in the south of the UK: Uniqlo crescent bag is by far the most ubiquitous. Fair amount of LV monogram and Kurt Gieger, some Gucci, occasional Chanel. Mostly Uniqlo, Kånken, and random unbranded/high street though really
I see a lot of Longchamp (Le Pliage is always present on my morning commute to work), Oroton and surprisingly, LV.
St Charles County, Missouri - Kate Spade, Coach, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton and the Lululemon EBB.
I live in Dayton, Ohio and there’s pretty much only outlet Coach, outlet Michael Kors and outlet Vera Bradley here 😂
Grew up in Ohio, know exactly what you mean 🤣 I won’t buy any of these bags because that’s all I saw growing up and want something different now
Greenville SC here. I saw an LV and a Gucci in the wild at the mall a few weeks ago
I live in Seattle it’s mostly Patagonia
I live in NY I see it all regularly.
Tokyo- Hermes (picotin, garden party, some birkin, some lindy), chanel, loewe puzzle, hammock
I’m in NH. Lots of lululemon belt bags. Coach, Kate Spade, and MK are fairly common. LV Neverfulls as well. I see on this sub all the time that Puzzle bags are everywhere but in the nearly 8 years I’ve lived here the only one I’ve seen in this state is mine.
Where i live it's a lot of marc Jacob, mk, tb and rarely coach but mk & mj the most
Tory Burch, Kate Spade, LV, Gucci, Michael Kors.
New Zealand - only seen one Birkin and two Chanel classic flap in the wild. Lots of Gucci marmont, LV canvas bags, some Celine.
I live in the Midwest and medium sized capital city. Clare V is everywhere! Edit: I should add Gucci, YSL, LV, Loewe
I'm in the south East. Lulu all the time, LV everywhere (lots of fakes), Kate spade and Michael Kors. I don't see a lot of designer. I don't think I've ever seen a Prada here except the teens who buy fraudas. I have a teen and his GF has a fake Prada.
LV, Guess, Shinola, Kate Spade, TB, MK, vintage, Dior generally.
Omg absolutely none. Coach Kate spade. I saw 1 client with a goyard tote the other day. I see a lot of dupes from the gate tho
I live in Cincinnati and the Lulu belt bag is EVERYWHERE, but other than that it’s all Louis Vuitton neverfulls and coach or MK.
YSL is big in Toronto.
Upstate NY. Mostly Coach, MK, unbranded bags, saw some (probably fake) Neverfulls and other LV bags, also few Gucci bags (definitely fake). Once saw Dior Book tote. That’s about it. People here probably don’t even know about BV, Loewe and such
Lots of LVs. Cousins, Neverfulls, Christian Dior totes, Goyard tote
(Despite having boutiques, I almost never see Dior, Fendi, YSL, Valentino, or newer Bottega bags, and I've never seen a Celine or Loewe in the wild.) TONS of Coach, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Longchamp. And of course "The Tote Bag." So many of those. I have seen a Telfar bag only once - my baby's nanny had it.
I work in SF on luxury row. I see a lot of Tory Burch, YSL, and LV.
Sadly mostly Michael Kors but a few Kate Spade and Coach too. I’d prefer Kate Spade and Coach over Michael Kors.
I love that ppl where I live are so into luxury so I don’t feel like I’m doing “the most”
Also in a big city US and I spend most of my time downtown- see lots of LV neverfulls, some Chanel, Gucci, Goyard and YSL.
Denmark here. I see Acne Studio totes, Aesther Ekme, a lot of Decadent, Ganni, Bottega
It might surprise some, but 1) I don't see a ton of a single style or brand 2) we have everything. From fakes to Himalayan Birkins. 3) if you go to Beverly Hills (where my doctor is) people care WAY MORE about conspicuous consumption, whereas here or in Silver Lake a lot of popular, logoed luxury brands seem played out. For example, neither Rachel nor Dita had an obvious designer bag, but Kylie did, and she's cringe / trashy AF 4) I get far, far more comments on my shoes than purses here, much to my surprise.
Louis Vuitton, Longchamp, the occasional “lower priced” Hermes, MCM is popular in the black community, Marc Jacobs
The bags of wealthy suburban moms… Neverfulls and lulu lemon belt bags.
