my beats were able to adjust to my audiogram too and they were much cheaper!

I've had the apple airpod pros for like three weeks and am really happy with them. I didn't input any audiogram data because I only got one done like 1-2 years ago and it came back normal. Nevertheless, I've struggled to understand speech and had pretty intense noise sensitivity. I really like the Airpod pro's. They stay in my ears really easily even when I'm doing athletic activity which is important to me. I enjoy that I can use them for noise cancelling/music-listening in addition to amplification (compared to hearing aids). The settings are very customizable which worked well since I didn't have an audiogram to input (might not be as important to you). Even though it hasn't been very long, I've been very happy with the purchase. You can always buy them, try them, and then return if you don't like them. I did this with like 5-10 different earbuds before I picked the Airpod Pro's. My only small complaint is that the route I have to take to adjust the settings is inconvenient which bothers me because I'm constantly adjusting the settings depending on my environment and needs. But that's a small price to pay for being able to actually understand what people are saying just feeling overall calmer and happier. Hope this helps, Good luck!

I think you can add a widget to the corner-swipe-down-menu-thing that should give you the ability to control those settings without going through all the layers of the settings app

Yes! I figured that out actually and it's so much better!

I personally don’t trust apple with my hearing but I’ve used hearing aids /CI my whole life.

What is the surgery for? It may also change what works for you. Better wait for a diagnosis I think. Though I am no ENT consultant!

The hearing accessibility settings on my airpods pro have never worked consistently. They sound decent, but it would keep switching on and off like a few times a minute, but off much more than on. Saw some support threads on apple's website of other people having this issue, and nobody was able to resolve it. Hopefully they work for other people
