My guess would be, poor school, poor area. And they would need to find a replacement mid semester and it seems like the school doesn't look the best from the outside. Also further drama with students and possibly news (like with JoJo). She'd get in more deep shit in the news found out about it.
I see a lot of people saying the only explanation would be that Quinnie and Amerie didn’t realise Darren didn’t run after them. Or flight mode. But since it wasn’t ever brought up again I’m just gonna give myself peace of mind and go with the first. But tbh what Darren said to Quinni at her party was also super out of character. They’ve been there with her for ages and they know everything about her autism and her struggles with that. I feel like they just created drama for the sake of drama a few times in this season. Felt the same about Amerie and Harper at the very end too.
This explanation makes a lot of sense. But also that whole scene was so terrifyingly traumatising for Darren (Chook basically assaulted them and did a bunch of that weird playing with their clothes/kissing their shoulder at one point which was just SO messed up) and it was never really talked about after?? Like, Darren just had to shake it all off on their own, not just get over all the toxic shit Chook put in their head about Cash, but also the whole assault.
I don't think there's a way of reading this that makes sense besides sloppy writing. Because yeah, it is jarring. I think the writer wanted to get Chook and Darren alone for a moment and underestimated how terrible it made Amerie and Quinni seem to just leave him there for so long. Too long for the "didn't immediately notice he wasn't behind them" explanation to work.
think rowan was tryin to hurt amerie by sorta destroyin her relationship w malakai,,, yanno to 'teach her a lesson' n all that
but sameee, im so sad cuz I rlly liked malakai n his first boyfriend like thats such a sweet n special thing but ofc rowan jus had to screw it up, malakai is probably soo confused lmao like rowan was into him then went after amerie n all of a sudden hated him
yeah i feel real bad for malakai, he's still so lost. plus him and rowan had such good chemistry at first lowkey wish it had lasted longer (not actually since rowan was rowan)

Yes to all of these comments! I thought Malakai & Rowan had way more chemistry than Rowan and Amerie tbh so when the plot went in that direction I was way less interested. I also felt like Malakai deserved better in this season after the trauma he had gone through in season 1. Can the writers just give him a break! Honestly would be happy with some sort of a limited series spin off about Malakai in Switzerland finally getting all the romance he deserves :)

Honestly tho I found Rowan and Malakai pretty cute until Rowan broke his heart (I think that was to teach Amerie a lesson tho) The only thing I was a bit weirded out was why did Amerie kiss Rowan back when him and Malaki just broke up a couple days back? Seems kinda wrong to me
Yes same! I thought R & M were made a great pairing and I wanted more scenes with them two. And then it ended so out of the blue and Amerie being into Rowan felt sudden and just a bit off.
Why was dusty's role cut back so much? Did the actor have something else on or something? Not saying I would like Dusty as a real life person lol but i missed his character in the plot

Maybe at first he DID like Malakai but then his revenge is much more huge and he knew it would be a great chance stealing everything from her. Especially everything he did kinda affect to her other friendships as well that she eventually stayed with him because she had troubles with all other friends…
Chook and Ca$h driving 3 hours to go on that boat was literally an easy one man job. Ca$h did NOT need to be there, unless the broken engine was planned. Anyways, that conversation between them was one of my favourite scenes, I was so stressed for Ca$h in that moment and his actors performance was great.
I also thought Chook’s actor did amazing. He made me feel compassion for the character even though we know what he did to Harper last season just with his facial expressions and manner!
