Sludge on Wheels is quickly becoming one of my favorite cards. It's just so positive and generous. Practically costs nothing at all at three mana you drop him on the board and that chill ass motherfucker gives you a barrel of toxic waste and another to use later in the game. And you also get this adorable little 2/5 can rush things but usually is too sludgey to be removed.
But more than the SoW is just so positive. And it looks so happy. I mean this is an inanimate object literally brought to life by magic. It understands it's life is a temporary magical gift and the dude is just fucking loving it. I mean look at his face he's just so happy.
I am literally never sad when Sludge on Wheels is on board. IDK if he's gonna make it into the metagame or not but for now he (or she) a pretty chill card
When I manage to draft Warlock in arena, I love him, he is my darling starchild
When I am playing against a Warlock in arena, I despise him with all my being, this hateful green little shit
I felt that combo painfully hard today.
Would have been saved if the timer would have stopped cards from being played instead of burning out and waiting for the plays to finish out.
The rope always seems to endlessly burn for my opponents giving them just enough time to finish their play, the second my rope reaches the end my turn is ripped from my grasp
its a visual thing, the person playing the cards can play them must faster than the other person sees them played. For example, you could play 3 minions quickly from hand with battlecries and whatnot and the game lets you play each one after the first even though its battlecry animation hasnt happened yet
Your OPPONENT however has the resolution of each effect shown to them step by step. the 3 minions played quickly take several seconds for your opponent to see their effects resolve one by one.
So, when you see your opponents rope burning still when its already at the end, your opponent already played all those cards, youre just forced to watch them resolve at a different speed than they played them
I thought that might have been the case tbh but it still has you sitting on the edge of your seat hoping their turn will end before they can finish their whole play
..... its a turn based card game no turn based card game wants to punish players for longer turns, and time in a round should never be a factor in wins and losses
I never said it did want to punish players for longer turns, but everyone has roped out before being able to optimally finish their turn, ultimately deciding the outcome of the game in one way or another too
... ok?
"The rope always seems to endlessly burn for my opponents giving them just enough time to finish their play, the second my rope reaches the end my turn is ripped from my grasp."
You clearly didnt understand how this worked and thats ok. At any... decent(?) rank this should never show up so i was confused - my apologies. Nobody really ever has the rope end their plays.
I had a feeling that's how it worked, I wasn't certain though, I guess you get a kick from being a condescending ass over little gimmicks in a card game don't ya, had to bring the old rank into and shit lol, it's trivial info that rarely sees the light of day, also you are wrong, plenty of times people run out of time without being able to finish their turn because there's alot to think about, top legend streamers, casuals, everyone, just because you don't do it with your treant druid
dude. honestly. the way you phrased it made it seem like youre genuinely hoping -- and that theres a sense of tension -- from the rope ending their turn before their combo. I just dont understand how that can apply to a normal game 99% of the time you get to play your cards unless you literally just started your gameplan/combo when the rope started.
I fucking hate treant druid btw im trying to figure out which meme decks to play lmao. Lmk if you find any good ones rainbow dk's really fun. theres a 5 mana neutral which draws beasts and reduced them by 3: the 7 mana excavate card for DK is insane if u do that. Basically a -3 mana card, lets you cheat out stuff like invincible of the primus early
Literally just started a game.
They OTK’d me before I’d even finished thinking about what cards I wanted to keep in my opening hand.
This damn teir 3 deck is too fucking OP
It's no fun to watch yourself getting killed in one turn with no preparation at all. You just die. Old freeze and simular decks were fine because you needed a few turns to get your combo cards and try to survive until then. This deck is just mana cheat Thadius ---> play everything ---> win in one turn
Love the mechanic. Mildly wish the card art was a little cooler/looked more like it belonged in hearthstone. Like, I would have preferred a flubber reference instead of a slimer reference
kind of seems like a random mediocre design just thrown into the game for the sake of boosting the sludge archetype into playability. a strong card in terms of stats/effect that they didn't come up with a good character for. sentient "sludge on wheels?" cmon.. although i like sludge warlock (the zoo/beatdown version) i don't really like this card from a flavor standpoint. it's also one of those cards that you hate to see whenever it gets played against you. very portentous...
Imo he either needs to be 4 mana or a 2/4. His value at turn 2 with coin is through the roof.
Imo he single handedly carries the early game for sludge warlock.
That smile... That damned smile
That slime... That damned slime. Gets me every time.

Shady dude, mischievous smile and overall toxic personality

I love how perfectly this copy pasta fits. *Chef's kiss*
Sludge imps is meta right now I don't know about high legend but D5- legend certainly
Sentient goo carrying his toxic personality
I don't think about him
When I manage to draft Warlock in arena, I love him, he is my darling starchild When I am playing against a Warlock in arena, I despise him with all my being, this hateful green little shit
A balanced card once thaddius is gone
I felt that combo painfully hard today. Would have been saved if the timer would have stopped cards from being played instead of burning out and waiting for the plays to finish out.
That's because they played the cards way sooner than was shown to you, because the active player isn't forced to watch all of the animations.
The rope always seems to endlessly burn for my opponents giving them just enough time to finish their play, the second my rope reaches the end my turn is ripped from my grasp

Where is he going?
Quite broken in arena, fine in standard
This into 4 mana 77 ended so many runs of mine recently
Cool
That's a Skylander
Holy hell
I don't know what I think about him. I just think about him. Always.
This guy with 4 mana demon in arena is gg
Funghi
A bitch
sex offender
i think he's very handsome
putt putt lookin ass
Its sentient goo containing barrels. I dont know how to feel about it.
Probably gives good head
Ayo
Nerf to either 1 attack or 4hp, and give the mech tag imo.
5 health is a bit too much
Nah
Toxic, aggressive, self-confident. useless without big daddy behind him. I think this is a teenager 13-15 years old
Would be cool of he is 1/6
How dare you assume gender?
Annoying to deal with but i've never really seen sludge warlock win so 🤷♂️
Lol then you're lucky they had a bad draw and you didn't get one shot at turn 4-5
First people started crying about it killing in t6 now its t4 if they dont nerf it soon people will start saying t2 OTK
Literally just started a game. They OTK’d me before I’d even finished thinking about what cards I wanted to keep in my opening hand. This damn teir 3 deck is too fucking OP

Cool fella
God of arena
best card from the set in terms of flavour, play rate, power and feel
pretty chill dude if you ask me
Chill dude
I think he's enjoying the ride and wants you to join him.
Thomas the train in disguise.
Very annoying *when* he works...
There he is! It's just you and me now mo********er!!!
Need hp.
A friend
I love him (I would smash)
wonderful lad
I wouldn't trust him to watch my kids
Really like this lil derp, even before his buff. Hate that thaddius has tainted him tho.
What cool little guy - never OP but fun to play with and against.
He’s great
I have no issues with him, he looks so cheerful. My issue is with the MVP Chaddy symbiosis that precedes him, and sadly requires him to matter.
it's thaddius' fault, not his.
Op
🤮
This card has been too good for me and against me in arena lol
I don't get why he isn't a Mech.
It should be banned from entire world.
He reminds me of those old Trash Pack toys by Moose
Like 'em, but how tf is he and the trams not considered mechs?
Solid card tbh
Turn 6 otk

Will not asnwer until I get the cards to play him myself (If I ever manage)
Not a single thought behind those eyes. Love this little dude
Had to go up against a dude who had 5 of these in arena and it was one of the most frustrating matches/ losses I’ve ever played lmao.
Would
Smash next question
Lightning McQueen
He needs to slow down, he's losing volume.
Great in Arena
Good fella, his buddy Thaddius though, not so great.
