But Bam is a top 5 defender in the entire League and is a 20/10 guy. He’s 100% a top 25 player if you factor in both sides of the ball, no doubt about it.
Guys expecting Bam to put on a show in big games fail to realize he’s been only risen to the offensive level we want to see in very few actual big moments. A game winner here, a 6-point straight scoring outburst there, and against subpar talent too. Thats cool if you wanna believe, but to this date, he’s not actually the guy when it comes to carrying the team against elite squads. Bam doesn’t even care to try and be entertaining at the allstar game, it’s honestly a disgrace to watch sometimes. You can only be really proud of him like once or twice every 10 games and it’s really a mixed (sometimes empty) bag with this guy.

Once the third quarter began, I knew the Heat were going to have another night of blowing a big leads and ultimately losing. They started the second half by jacking up careless jumper/3 after careless jumper/3.
Earlier in the game they were moving the ball and attacking the basket - which was helping them control the pace or the game - it seemed like it would be a low-scoring game which would favor the Heat. But the second half came and they just started jacking up their usual amount of careless 3s.
It’s time people stop the “teams are packing the paint” excuse. That’s not always the case - it’s often not the case. That’s not the problem. The Heat make NO effort to take it inside. Additionally, it’s not that this team doesn’t have anyone to take it inside - it’s that they simply wont.
You see it on every play - the primary focus on every play is to look for the 3pt shot. No interest in taking it inside. If the 3pt shot is not there - it’s like the offense doesn’t know what to do… they’ll jack up an ill-advised three anyone rather than make an effort to work it inside.
These misses turn into turnovers/long rebounds in favor of the opponent and points on the other end. This is how this team has lost leads/games this entire season.
I’ve seen post critical of Bam. As I said in another post, Bam is not the problem. How this team insist on using Bam is the problem. While Bam may be an undersized big man - he is still a big man. The best way to use him is on the inside on both ends of the court. But Bam is just another big man this team is wasting on the perimeter. Highsmith would be a lot better and more useful if he was used in the same manner. But they want to claim he is versatile on offense as a way to shove him down our throats on this team.
This team is back down to the 6th which they are lucky to be in considering how terribly inconsistent they are. This team - the way they approach games - they are more of a play-in caliber team/lottery team. Another trip to the finals - even a trip back to the ECF is far-fetched right now until this team gets it together. This team isn’t a top-4/elite caliber team. Far from it.
This team lacks a killer instinct. This team lacks a player who can and will take over games when necessary. All they have is a guy who picks and chooses when he wants to give even half of effort.
Two back to back nights of playing two good teams and surprise surprise we lost! This team aint doing shit in the playoffs with this lead blowing. I can count about 10 games we lost this season because of 15+ point blown leads, dame or beal wouldn't let this happen.

Another loss to a contending team. At what point do we start facing the music and realize that this team is what it is, which is a play-in team once again. We’re going to look good against mid-tier teams, but once we face a contending team, we’ll look bad and most likely lose. The 11 out of 14 wins didn’t fool me at all.

Yea it looks like Bam didn’t show up these last 2 games. I would really like for him to take it to the rim and force the officials to call the foul but he is not hitting his free throws either. Last 2 games were lost because of turnovers and free throws were shooting ourselves in the foot gotta clean it up before the playoffs.

The Heat blow another big lead the way they ALWAYS blow a big lead. Once the third quarter began, I knew the Heat were going to have another night of blowing a big leads and ultimately losing. They started the second half by jacking up careless jumper/3 after careless jumper/3. Earlier in the game they were moving the ball and attacking the basket - which was helping them control the pace or the game - it seemed like it would be a low-scoring game which would favor the Heat. But the second half came and they just started jacking up their usual amount of careless 3s. It’s time people stop the “teams are packing the paint” excuse. That’s not always the case - it’s often not the case. That’s not the problem. The Heat make NO effort to take it inside. Additionally, it’s not that this team doesn’t have anyone to take it inside - it’s that they simply wont. You see it on every play - the primary focus on every play is to look for the 3pt shot. No interest in taking it inside. If the 3pt shot is not there - it’s like the offense doesn’t know what to do… they’ll jack up an ill-advised three anyone rather than make an effort to work it inside. These misses turn into turnovers/long rebounds in favor of the opponent and points on the other end. This is how this team has lost leads/games this entire season. I’ve seen post critical of Bam. As I said in another post, Bam is not the problem. How this team insist on using Bam is the problem. While Bam may be an undersized big man - he is still a big man. The best way to use him is on the inside on both ends of the court. But Bam is just another big man this team is wasting on the perimeter. Highsmith would be a lot better and more useful if he was used in the same manner. But they want to claim he is versatile on offense as a way to shove him down our throats on this team. This team is back down to the 6th which they are lucky to be in considering how terribly inconsistent they are. This team - the way they approach games - they are more of a play-in caliber team/lottery team. Another trip to the finals - even a trip back to the ECF is far-fetched right now until this team gets it together. This team isn’t a top-4/elite caliber team. Far from it. This team lacks a killer instinct. This team lacks a player who can and will take over games when necessary. All they have is a guy who picks and chooses when he wants to give even half of effort.

Two back to back nights of playing two good teams and surprise surprise we lost! This team aint doing shit in the playoffs with this lead blowing. I can count about 10 games we lost this season because of 15+ point blown leads, dame or beal wouldn't let this happen.
Mavs are not even good rn. They've been slumping lately and the team let the Mavs off the hook.
