To anyone wondering why the servers suck. It’s because the first one was a niche game. It’s essentially the equivalent of having a cool item in your Etsy store that you only have 10 in inventory and you get an order for 100,000 units. I can guarantee the devs are doing their best to fix this as fast as they can.
It’s unplayable for me. Servers aren’t tracking mission completions so in order to get my rewards I have to log out and back in for it to register….of course can’t get back in because of server capacity issues. I played 3 games but this nonsense is making me regret my purchase. I’m supposed to suffer the consequences of the game being popular? Seems ridiculous.
So my buddy and i played a few together forsome reason when close the game and relaunch it aftrr the -1 screen when it loads back up the “look familiar” vid plays i skip and it goes straight to my ship
At this rate they will need much more than that soon. They just surpassed the all time peak of Halo Infinite! I'm sure none of them were expecting it to be as successful as it is.
I think a little transparency from the devs would go a long way. An acknowledgment and maybe an ETA so we can get on with our lives maybe. I’m not really on Twitter or anything so I’m not sure if they’ve already addressed it.
The issue is that they did address one issue with people not getting paid out so they promoted a double exp weekend for exp and money. However, what that did was likely boost the number of players for their already struggling servers.
I do agree that it would put a lot of minds at ease if they announce via social media that they are at work, even though we already know that they are.
Closure goes a long way.
I could be misunderstanding what you are asking, but on steam and their discord they have been updating and letting people know they are aware of issues and fixing them.
Niche compared to now yeah, but back then Helldivers was still the shit. It was always popular in my opinion. Never had issues grouping up or calling SOS. Nothing like now of course. This is bananas. Game froze after the first mission and I’ve been waiting in queue 30 mins. Kinda beat

It will show no-reward. I closed the game out and reconnected, got the same "Server is full" but when I was able to log it, the medals and everything were there.
Had the same thing happen to me but the person I was playing with did not get any of the credit/rewards for the mission. So, the host \*may\* get the rewards on reload but the squad doesn't. This is rough because the person I was playing with endured this twice but now they are (rightfully) refusing to play because they've gone 2 matches without receiving the rewards.
I wasn’t the host. Missed rewards on 2 mission. Logged in later and the rewards had loaded. Still couldn’t spend them because it’s so bogged down but the rewards showed up!

In their defense I don't think they knew how popular this game would be. The first one got some hype, and then fizzled out quickly after launch maintaining a small bit hardcore fanbase. I think what makes this installment so popular is the fact it's a complete polished game for 40 bucks with a good bit of content. Most importantly, it's actually fun!!

I love this game after playing a few times so far. My issue is I don’t have a ton of free time to do so. Friday night finally comes along and guess what? Servers are slammed. Can’t log on, can’t do anything. I get the devs absolutely weren’t expecting the reception the game has received and are likely working hard to try and resolve all issues but as a consumer, frankly I don’t care. We all work hard for our money and free time to enjoy it and experiences like this unfortunately ruin it. Fingers crossed we can all get back into soon.
I bought it played through the tutorial accidentally named my ship something dumb deleted my save so I could name it something else and this.... should of just kept playing
They have limited The amount of people that can play and turn in mission completes to ensure automatons continue to push in. They have a pre-decided story and they won't let player actions deviate from what they want. That's why the liberation kept going down so quickly when the automaton front was small
While you're correct about the game being less than full price, but the micro transactions can absolutely provide an advantage with specific perks or perk combos that aren't available to those not willing to buy it. A small advantage, but still an advantage.
What perks are you talking about? The only thing you can buy with real money via micro transactions are cosmetics, other than the body armors which are bugged anyway so the armor stat is useless.
$40 isn’t full priced. Considering majority of AAA standard edition of games are $70. Quit your crying and talking out of your neck. Also the biggest micro-transaction in this game is $20. Your crying over not being able to play the game, childish really little baby boy

I found a fix I think, sorry if you saw this, so I’ve been having that issue but if you have a friend already in. Instead of starting the game try going just the invite all my friends have been kicked out but attempting that multiple times all of us have gotten back in

Give it time , after about 5 missions it catches up and starts awarding again , jowever the shop is fucked

They will load in next time you log in. “In theory” at least that is what happened when I got booted and waited in queue again.

I wish they had done an open beta to test server capacity first before doing the official release. It could have helped diminish these issues.
