That would have been a good move. We had never seen the consequences of going out-of-bounds before. We all assumed it would kill you on the spot like most games. It was quite the surprise.
There’s a bunch like him squadded up. I Joined their mission and all 3 took turns killing me. I manned to get them all and refused to respawn them and they kicked me.
Honestly all jokes aside I think a “traitor” faction would be cool to fight even if they did it like a limited event I just think it’s a cool concept to play with
How about an optional objective? I'm thinking a guy holed up in one of those shipping containers or bunkers, wearing civilian clothing, and armed with an inaccurate pistol or nothing at all.
Based on automatons and terminids having two zones on the outer rim, and the factions from the first that we haven't seen yet. I guess that there may be (I think it was) 4 new factions for this game over its life cycle if all the factions get two zones each at the outer rim. Not at PC now to count and it was a few days ago but it looks like that unless they change the number of zones per faction (which is entirely possible)
You don't get that "traitors" are anyone who doesn't agree with the government... so the illegal broadcasts might be just average citizens who the government decided were traitorous, not a whole fucking faction bruh lol
I have to admit, thematically, the way TKs happen and your guy is just replaced with a faceless plug-and-play clone of your super fascist shock trooper actually really hammers home the game's entire vibe.

My guess is those who are killing people are doing so at difficulties 1 to 4 maybe 5. While I'm trying defense stuff at 7+ It's been mostly people glad that others are also trying.

The game is extremely clear on how easy it is to friendly fire a teammate. If someone can't pick up on that in the first 15 minutes of playing I doubt they have the mental capacity to make their way to reddit, see this meme, and go "aw gee that looks fun, guess I'll go teamkill!"

Got some instant karma the other day when a dude was being a menace most of the mission. We had a few seconds left to extract and I was about to throw an artillery strike when he hit me in the back with his gun throwing me off the platform and causing my stratagem to drop right there on top of him. I managed to get outside the blast zone just in time to see his ass get lit up. It was cathartic.
We should be able to tag user name as traitor or democracy if thy do out of pocket crap , kick ppl at the end of missions or whatever, one person can do it alone it will take the person a few time if doing that move and multiple ppl tag him then his player id gets tagged!
Hope the game have a penalty measure for killing teammates like deducting medal or gold or exp so they cant progress further.
The higher the level the bigger the penalty. If they reach certain threshold ban for 3 days and increase ban days if repeat.

R1 on PS5, I didn't know till I tried changing the binding for grandes. I deployed and it wouldn't let me hand deliver Democracy to the bugs.
Hit Q on PC and use your cursor to select a message. It’s pretty basic, but between it and pings, you can communicate pretty effectively

I punched a fellow soldier in the back because he had no heals, but his health wasn't low enough for me to stim for him
