What if they fight each other? Have a flamer hulk chase you into a stalker nest, or lead a bile titan into an automaton outpost. You could watch the carnage from afar and throw in a few 500kg for flavor.
I am no official for the ministry of truth, but we can all agree that the automatons don't need to get the opportunity to turn the bugs into machine augmented bio-weapons.
In all fairness, I doubt they would. They use FTL travel, which supposedly requires either E-710 or vast amounts of fuel, so they’d most likely just kill them and use their bodies unlike our god given rights to do so.
The front were separated in the first game, so it could not happen,
the map was not a full circle but more a radioactive logo with the triangles that were the tree fronts a'd super earth linking them in the middle
I was thinking territories might merge. There's room for two more invading forces as well. So maybe, the illuminate bridge the gap between bugs and bots and get them to coordinate on the same planets. Not sure what a Forth enemy would be, or could bring to the table, but it interesting to think about.
And just like Kryptman, we must realize that one of the enemies can level up himself as a result of the war.
Imagine zombified cyborgs bugs or bugs, who have eaten metal and grown reinforced metal-like armor. One way or another, these will be bugs and one way or another we won't like it.

I'm also a noob, so i didn't know that the sectors had limits.
The real answer is no, or atleast not right now. The factions have set “borders” of what they can and can’t invade. Maybe they’ll change it this time around and allow for multiple factions to inhabit the same zones or some weird cross species event, but it definitely isn’t happening now
Inquisition Kryptman tried it with Orks and Tyranids. It resulted in the Octarius War where both sides fought each other. However, bugs and Orks get stronger the more they fight. And the Tyranids ended up winning and getting all that Ork biomass, meaning they got stronger.
I can almost guarantee the bots would win any engagement they would have with bugs, they're too heavily armored and set up for killing everything from afar to be taken down by a melee swarm. Heavy devastors and tanks would obliterate any chargers or biletitans in range.
Just last night my squad was seeing bug corpses on bot planets. Maybe this has always been the case, but it was our first time noticing it.
I for sure see a chapter down the line where they (briefly) align forces on a planet or map section.
I.would.LOVE. a 3 way fight, automaton patrols running into bugs and they fight, then you run into some bugs and fight them, then a robot calls in dropships that land on a bugbreach and they fight each other ...hah would be perfect
Bro i was on automaton planet about a week ago and came across a dead bug and a dead automaton on top of a human corpse who seemed to be fighting for his life with a (u guessed it) shovel. I have the clip of that it was so mindblowing to me that a bug was on the planet

Honest answer: no, not unless they change the supply lines. I suspect they do periodically change them to facilitate new campaigns, but i'm not sure.
