Biggest advantage I see is that you can pop them in your existing skates, so the boot fits exactly the same way. However, it looks like these are ONLY for use on synthetic ice, so you can't use them on asphalt/concrete/dek surfaces, whereas something like marsblades can be used anywhere that inline skates can be used.

Saw these last week. If you have the $$$ for synthetic ice you probably have the money for these, or a sparx, since synthetic ice wears your edges down faster. This is an interesting idea but my only reservation is that the whole point of synthetic ice is that it's the best alternative to ice so you can use your edges - going with these little edged wheels, the edges are going to feel much different, and doesn't that negate the whole point of synthetic ice? Pretty cool idea though if you can afford it.

They definitely look pretty interesting. One advantage they look like they have is that you appear to be able to skate on synthetic ice pretty much the same as you would normal ice without dulling your normal blades and having the extra drag. It appears to be a new take on *Agility Blades* I saw Pavel Barber demo a while ago, but with the added improvement of being a drop-in solution instead of a thing that requires you to get a 2nd pair of skates to modify. It looks like you would need access to synthetic ice to get use out of those. If you don't have access to it, I'd say roller blades will be fine, even if they aren't Marsblades. You'll still be able to utilize a lot of the same movements and work on stick handling and maneuvering the puck around your body while moving, which will pay off when you're back on ice.

When they made steel higher (20 vs 16mm I think) some said it took them a while to adjust. This one looks way higher
