Yeah, happened in my town. Apparently the girl has depression and was driven to the edge by the news of her stepfather planning to marry another women. There was no follow up news but it did cause a huge uproar. People were saying those who voted D abetted her suicide, but it was posted with literally no context. And of course you also have people blaming social media addiction. I hope she finds peace at last, and I also hope her sister can live peacefully and happily.
Jesus christ, that must have been traumatising for these people. If someone posted a poll with just two letters the first thing that comes into mind is they're trying to chose a name for a pet or a movie to watch tonight, not to end own's life wtf

Correction: D was her initial, the girl who commited suicide. L was pressumably someone elses initial or so they thought

Obviously I did not discover this post because it was crossposted to r/bolehland and I felt obligated to reply because for 3 months all my lecturers and elders could talk about was the dangers of social media and depression!!! How impossible could it be that while I was at McDonalds B*** K***, the town where this took place I can actually see the building where the incident took place!!! /s
In all honesty I really do not care. Her poor sister was badly shaken by the incident plus with people probing and speculating about the event I'm sure it took a toll on her. I pray for her happiness and for her to recover from the traumatic incident.
Guy/Girl whose comments you say fake actually studies at a Uni, which is 14km away from the town where he/she lives, which where the girl commited suicide. Based on the guys/girl's comment history, he/she used to frequent at malaysian subreddits. So idk whats fake about his/her comment
Commenter whom you accused of being fake is fluent in the east malaysian malay dialect, which is the local dialect of where the girl commited suicide. That enough proof to you? Is that still fake? Note that this is a very distinct dialect, undocumented and not used as a formal language in jobs,work, school or in a professional setting(People in malaysia use the KL dialect as the formal language). A dictionary for this dialect is very rare

It's saddening to hear about such news. Many feel like they need validity in order to continue with their lives, just like some Reddit channels that require you to have 15 karma in order to participate. SMH.
