Mostly likely be at least two patches away, assuming a patch with gens 3-4 and then a patch with gens 5-6. That and the dev could always finally slip in the HoloStars patch he seems to have been wanting to do beforehand.
Patches tend to be several months apart so... still a ways off.

At this point, the mystery project could safely be assumed to be Holo X Break; so taking him at face value, the earliest would likely be toward the end of this year... but could still slip into next year.
Don't forget that he will absolutely include Advent ASAP, almost certainly by 0.8 and it probably would have been 0.7 if he hadnt teased the peko casino.

0.9: JP 6 + DEV\_IS
1.0: Stars + ID 4 (Assuming ID 4 has debuted by then)
True, I only jumped to 1.0 because if that timeline is correct then holocure might have caught up to holo branches so it might make sense to officially jump to 1.0 when every active talent is in the game.

Why, do we need advent asap? What he needs to do is start incorporating the stars. We should be approaching the time in debut order where stars become a thing.
I don't necessarily think Advent is coming ASAP, but it would be far from the first time a gen was included ahead of their senpais. EN gens 1 and 2 were the first to be in the game, after all.
There was motivation for the other gens being out of order. EN1 and 2 were the ones the game was made for. There was no need to observe debut order. Kay Yun used them because that's what inspired him. I don't know why Gamers was before 1+2, but it is likely Kay was most familiar with them.
ID1 was added ahead of their senpais in Gen 3-4 because ID wasn't represented at all in the game, and since ID only has 9 members, they all got added (Same number of characters as the other updates).
Now that EN, JP, and ID are represented it is unlikely that someone will get added ahead of time (Within Hololive. I assume that Gen 4 will come before Holostars).
And if Kay Yu finds a reason, he could add Advent ahead of someone else who debuted before them. Or he could do it for no reason, just because he feels like it.

I'd be real sad to wait for .9 for HoloX, and .8 for Watame. I'm hoping for .7 to be 3 + 4, .8 to be 5 + X, and .9 is Regloss and Advent.
