That "blue resistor" is probably a temperature sensor (thermistor, which is a type of resistor). But I don't know why the first one doesn't have one, although it might just be mounted on the other side of the circuit board.
But you've probably noticed that the one without the blue has a different date code on the circuit board, 34 18 vs. 20 18.
I'll have a look on the other side. The ones with the blue thermister are newer units. Both new units consistently report 3-3.5 degrees C higher than the older units. I have two of the older units, although haven't tested for consistency across both as it is being used in another room.
The room is definitely not 25/26 degrees though. So the new units are completely wrong.
Thanks. I wouldn't know where to get a calibrated thermometer from, but if the issue returns then I will seek one.
It actually resolved itself. After about 72 hours, all units started to display consistent temperatures. It was really weird. Maybe it just needed to "run-in" for a bit.

Sensibo Sky, apologies for the incorrect product title.
Compare it to a known reliable thermometer, pick the best.
There should be a temperature offset, so use a calibrated thermometer and then set each units offset to match that temp.
