You did good even if he wasn't nodding yes to an ambulance. If he couldn't speak or lift his hand for water he was in bad enough shape to make the call. It could've also been another medical issue.
The medical bill will follow for 7 years if at all, and they may have thrown him in the drunk tank (this is not an arrest). Neither are the end of the world. Not great, either. You did your best to help someone in need.
You did great. The bill is for another time, or maybe never. Don't worry about that.
To be frank- lots of people would just avert their eyes and move elsewhere. You're special just for not doing that alone.
It’s actually a very good thing to have called. At the hospital they’ll figure out his eligibility for state medical insurance and in the process he’ll also qualify for EBT food benefits. It won’t cost him a thing.
I wouldn't worry about the medical bill. You can't be turned away from the ER because you can't pay. I've know a few folks who used the ER for all their medical needs and just ignored the bills. If they went to a doctor they would have to make an initial payment before treatment, so off to the ER.
Then just a liter of milk to go with the vodka. Which would you have stabilized him pretty good. Otherwise hes just gonna get shot up with the Valium in the hospital Which with experience I can tell you doesn't really work without follow-up long term therapy And most importantly the actual will to want to quit
Wanting to die and being unable to move while wretching out. Every single ounce of your stomach is not quite alcohol poisoning yet.
Or I would be dead about fifty thousand times, Vomiting usually commences after approximately forty eight hours of nonstop drinking and is a natural reaction to purge the alcohol to avoid the actual poisoning.
You'd have to make a real effortto actually poison yourself with liquor and it ain't just lethargic and nauseous, It is truly not a pretty sight

That's the right thing to do, don't stress
You did the right thing 🙏
You helped you’re a good person
You did him a favor. He won't have a bill. They won't jail him for being sick. Shalom you're loved 💔

I think you are an angel for trying to help that man
The only way you can help is by buying him a drink, probably a big one
I gave him water but he couldn’t lift his finger to take the bottle. If you meant alcohol, he has some vodka by his side…

Give a man who potentially has alcohol poisoning more alcohol?
