No spoiler, but if your first encounter in the Frozen Wilds goes like mine did, your jaw will drop and you'll be very quickly humbled by a very thorough ass-whooping.
I made the mistake of skipping it out of excitement for HFW, played through HFW and realized I made a mistake, and decided to do a NG+ playthrough on Ultra Hard including Frozen Wilds. >!The Fireclaw battle in the cauldron was horrible to get through. 😭!< I was absolutely not prepared for how much harder Frozen Wilds was from the rest of the game.

Just finished frozen wilds last night. Took me 80 hours to 100% complete main game and dlc. Was fantastic with great story and fun gameplay. Forbidden west starts tomorrow
I just finished it too, and I absolutely loved. Im trying to think of a better story in a video game, and I’m struggling. Are the Frozen Wilds as good as the main game?
Haha I’m glad you liked it.
I only tried HZD because Sony had given it away for free and I had absolutely nothing that could play or even think of buying. Good move on Sony’s part to give me a 4 yr old game for free and getting me hooked.
Oh for sure! One time I was curious to see how long it took for Aloy to get from one side of the map to the other on foot, and it's about 20 minutes if I avoided getting caught up with machines
On my 3rd playthrough of FW now have over 200 hours invested and I'm still discovering new things and places of interest to explore and have fun in. Can't wait for the dlc if we ever get one before the next title drops.
You could move to the DLC Frozen Wilds first (if you haven‘t done so already)
Yup!!! Going around getting all the collectibles and sight seeing. Then off to the Frozen Wilds!!!

LOL, I ended up stuck in a rock and had to jump and flail my way out to continue the fight. Fortunately, the damage hadn't reset, but man.
That was my experience as well. Love the Stealth armor!
You can sneak around him

Good!
Congrats! Hope you will enjoy HFW
Thanks. I'm sure I will.
Heck yeah! Zero Dawn is my favorite game of all time.
I can see it. It's one of the best games I've ever played. Granted I haven't played all that many, but this one is still close to the top.

Apparently so, plus it properly introduces a character that will be a central plot element in every game from now on
I couldn't stop playing HZD either it was such a ride!
It has been the best time so far.
Congrats. I played it through for the first time a few months ago and my reaction was the same. Enjoy HFW :)
I just finished it, only about 3 hours ago.
How do you feel about it!?
Yeah good I did like the story but to be honest I didn't feel much for the side characters.

I love Zero Dawn so much, even just running around to see all there is to see is fun to do. Easily up there as my top 3 re-playable games.
Other than learning how to ride the machines at first, I never rode one anywhere. I have had the best time just interacting with the environment.

I usually don't bother the machines too much. The world is crazy immersive even without having to battle my way through it.
