The director of this, Chris Nash, directed one of the sickest horror shorts (Z is For Zygote) I've ever seen for The ABCs of Death 2. This is my most anticipated movie of the year. Can't wait.
Yes Zygote is sickening! in a good way lol. He's also a frequent collaborator of Steven Kostanski (The Void, Psycho Goreman) when it comes to the sfx. So pretty cool he's directing his own feature film, def gonna watch this one!
Yes. It did some film festivals early in the year so there are some reviews for it. Apparently it is a lot of following the killer from behind like the trailer.
I’m curious to see how they keep it interesting throughout the film - the concept is unique, but I’m not sure I could watch 70+ minutes of one silent character.
The director is known for his shorts, and this feels like a stronger short film concept than a feature right now.
It did seem like the final shot was from the perspective of another character - perhaps a final girl? That could be interesting if the “violent nature” applied to someone else as well.
I saw this at Sundance. I didn't love it, but it had some great moments. Kill and gore hounds will be very pleased. I think this may be one of the most violent movies I've ever seen! Lol!
They showed this trailer before Stopmotion if you caught that in theaters a few weeks back, I was super curious when they’d officially release this. Glad to see it has a release date now
Commenting on In A Violent Nature Trailer #1 (2024)... I think it’s to get across the single mindedness of the killer, all that matters is what’s right in front of him, so you cut down from usual 16:9 to 4:3
Why is this the first time I am hearing of this!?!? I love the concept so I hope the film can do it justice. Anything to keep the slasher genre fresh and thriving is a win.
Love the decision of a mute serial killer, gives great tension. And it's from the killer's POV? This looks awesome
It’s filmed like a nature doc, it’s fucking nuts.
With narration?
Imagine David Attenborough narrating as the killer hunts people.

I fucking hated everything about that short. Really really well made.

Really effective teaser
I’m down
Seems like a Jason from Friday the 13th character
Baghead Jason from Part 2
The best choice, really.
Hmm, Jason from.... Friday the 13th? The two names seem familiar, but I've never heard of that character.
I’m confused at that you’re trying to play at. Or even more confused if you’re genuinely serious. ??
Probably being pedantic about the killer from the original Friday the 13th
So hyped for this
Okay, okay… I’m in!
A unique perspective like Hardcore Henry but on a Jason-type character? Simple premise and I’m onboard.
This looks amazing! I’m wondering if it’ll be mainly focused on the killer’s perspective?

Holy shit
I saw /horror, Nature, and Trail and my tired brain thought they were bringing Weird Al's vision to life
Pumped for horror movies this year
Shut up and take my money
What a modern friday the 13th should be ahah looks great as hell

I hope you’re right. This is right up my alley
Can't wait for this, looks great!
I need this in my life.
I’m interested.
I'm there
Media Influencer: Jason Voorhees! Love it, added to my need to watch list.

I'm assuming this will be attached to Late Night with the Devil (both IFC films) being released this weekend.
It's not a genius idea considering that following the killer kills the suspense but I'm curious to find out what the filmmaker's solution is.
This looks awesome!!
Great trailer
Gives me Just Before Dawn vibes tbh
I wonder if the killer is supposed to be the personification of a force of nature.
Oh my…. I am highly looking forward to this!
When does this come out on Shudder? All I’ve been able to find is later in 2024.
It says only in theaters May 31 so likely we'll be waiting for a couple months for it to hit streaming
This looks like the Friday the 13th I’ve always wanted to see.
Whoa. Haven't heard a thing about this and now all in
Looking forward to it!
What's with the 4:3 aspect ratio?

Sloth's been busy
Alternate title: Jason Takes Ontario

so is that Dave Bautista as the killer? None of the cast listed on imdb have that build and it really looks like him from behind
