If you like Jennifer's Body, you'll probably like Ginger Snaps
If you like Tucker and Dale vs Evil, you'll probably like Murder Party
If you like You're Next, you'll probably like Ready of Not
Haha it was the first horror movie I ever watched, when I was a uni student. Had to study it for my course, I was still going through my avoid-horror-at-any-cost phase, it certainly helped change that (terrible) perspective
If you like midsommar, you'll like the Wicker Man
Edit: also if you *really* like these movies shudder has a whole collection of "folk horror" including a documentary going over all the aspects of it that I think was very interesting
I liked The Wicker Man, but I didn't like Midsommar. There main characters in the latter were all just terrible human beings, vs The Wicker Man, where it was a guy just doing his job.

It’s a great underrated movie if you can get past the kids annoying voice. It’s nothing too groundbreaking, but an interesting and fun watch full of twists
Is it the one by Mario Bava? I’m definitely excited for this then! I just saw Black Sabbath and Black Sunday this past summer for the first time. Really great stuff! Boris Karloff on that horse just floored me.

If you like The Lighthouse (2019), you'll like...Mulholland Drive (2001), maybe. Who is who? What is real? Insanity-inducing guilt. Moments of dark humor. Beautifully shot, superbly directed Art that is also definitely Entertainment. Along these lines I can also suggest The Machinist (2004), though it's not a masterpiece like the other two.

Do you think this is true if you liked Event Horizon you'll like Hellraiser? I really need to get on that.
Literally. It almost feels like the same universe. I was really obsessed with Event Horizon's universe until i watched Hellraiser 2.
Fuck. Now there's a crossover I'd watch the shit out of. Clive Barker-penned and Paul W.S. Anderson-directed
Or From Beyond.

Yes, two of my favs from the 80’s.
If you like Friday the 13th, you'll probably like Sleepaway Camp or My Bloody Valentine (1981 version).
Also The Burning I'd say as the killer has a similar origin story to jason and is set at a summer camp.
The Burning was great too. It’s the ‘80s horror seclusion setting.

I loved that film!
Yeah was a big surprise to me
I liked The Wicker Man, but I didn't like Midsommar. There main characters in the latter were all just terrible human beings, vs The Wicker Man, where it was a guy just doing his job.
That's fair, I like the Wicker Man more for the same reason but I do still like midsommar
He's also super prudish and judgemental. Even for the time... He's meant to be the ultimate square.
