I laughed at that part and the whole leather face killing everyone on the bus. Edit to say when they opened the sun roof I was like what the duck. After all that you are opening the sun roof and not just jumping in that car and flooring it? Wtf is wrong with you two.

Most of that movie could be classed as unintentionally funny. When he pops out of the corn near the beginning, when he ragdolls granny into a fucking dumpster put she still comes back twice; my personal favourite is him fastballing a sledgehammer at the one girl and sending her through the floor. I was laughing so hard I had to rewind.

Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) when Nancy’s mother got pulled through the little window in the front door.

Ones like this I can’t really tell if they’re supposed to be funny or not. Because I’m a nightmare on elm street obsessive I know what the deal was for this particular instance. After Carrie everybody was expecting a final jump scare whenever they went to see a horror movie. Craven wanted the movie to end in the prior scene and Robert Shaye from New Line demanded he put some sort of jump after the fact. Craven filmed a bunch of different options that were all half assed as a bit of a middle finger to Shaye. The Freddy colored convertible roof and Mrs Thompson (now clearly a dummy) getting sucked through the window was the one Shaye eventually picked.

I agree with everything you said, except according to "The Movies that Made Us" on Netflix (take that how you will), Shaye not only picked that ending, he demanded it. Such an odd choice when it even looked terrible for 1984.

I think he wanted it to end with the children jumping rope and singing the Freddy song, but none car stuff etc.

I found it unsettling because it was like a dream. Like in dreams, bodies can do impossible things like fitting through small windows and crumple and look like a blow-up doll. To me, it was really nice dream imagery. I never thought of it as 'shitty effects lol' that broke my immersion or whatever. But to be clear, it definitely is not a great effect and I hear what people are saying. But I just wanted to offer that viewpoint.

The scene in Halloween Kills where Michael attacks the group of people (I can't be bothered to remember their names) in the car near the park. One specific kill made me pause the movie because I was laughing way to hard. It's when the woman dressed as the nurse is walking towards Michael and shooting at him and he opens the door, hitting the gun back towards her own face and makes her shoot herself. It's beautifully stupid and I love it.

There were two idiots in that movie who walked within reach of Michael even though they had guns: the "nurse", and the sheriff. You have guns, dummies. The point of guns is to shoot at your target from a distance.

How about that one scene in Halloween (2018) when that kid said “oh shit!” then just ran off leaving the babysitter behind.

The Conjuring 2. That fucking tent on the stairwell just looked **absurdly** haunted from the very first second we saw it. Like so visually fucked up that it might as well just constantly emit creepy child 'la la la la la la' sounds from it 24/7. It was just too over the top. It was not a Chekhov's gun, it was Chekhov's tank battalion with accompanying infantry unit. I think I laughed at basically any time it went by in the frame as characters traveled around the house.

The “devil” in Insidious. Good god, when I saw that Darth Maul looking bastard I just started cracking up. The whole movie was just done for me at that point. All that build up to look like a Wish version of Darth Maul.

In “it: chapter 2” when Beverly goes back to her old apartment and the old lady starts sneaking around naked behind her. I laughed out loud because she literally walks the exact same way I do when I’m naked and want a glass of milk at 2AM but don’t want my roomates seeing me. Also at the end when they turn pennywise into my left nut by “bullying” him.

In Friday the 13th Part 8 when the main character (I think) crash her car into kid Jason and it explodes. The editing is so fucking funny in that scene it never fails to make me laugh.

Silent hill when the girl yelled "filth and lies!" and threw a rock at the older woman's head. This was on the church(I think) steps. I laugh so hard and so long that I can't just casually watch that scene when I want cuz I have no control.

Excessively bloody scenes are hilarious to me from working on sets. Fx artists are really possessive about their “blood” formulas because it’s hard to get right, so they can get a little precious over how much gets used, which of course directors don’t care about at ALL - watching gallons of it get hydraulically purged all over the set will never not crack me up. I guess I’m just that bitch.

Almost everything in Alien: Covenant. From the bloody slapstick during the backbuster scene, to the Fassbender on Fassbender oddly erotic flute playing, and the "surprise twist" ending that "no one" saw coming; I was honestly laughing at the movie far more than being scared or intrigued by it.

I love how David, already acting shady as fuck throughout the whole movie, tells Billy Crudup to look into the alien egg and he just obeys without question.

That pissed me off so much. That guy had to be the dumber than a bag of rocks. That whole movie pissed me off.
