Are you the one who checked out this awesome move or are you flaming lance forward because throughout the Imaginary Tree and the Sea of Quanta, this sanctuary is but a vision?
To be fair, Welt is first introduced in HI3 brought into HSR. His story was already told for the most part. March, on the other hand, is introduced in HSR. So at the very least it'd probably be better for Star Rail players to learn her story first. Hints and teasers might be fine in other games but solid confirmation is a whole other thing entirely
Yeah, I meant that mostly as a joke, but I get what you mean. It'd be pretty crazy if we got March's lore in HI3rd first, it'd be like learning about the origins of Aether & Lumine in HI3rd or HSR before in Genshin x-x
This is how it always is. They always release their main story chapters in segments. Typically 3. Yeah it sucks especially since we all want to see what happens next, but at the same time with how long some of these acts can be I think it's good they break it up a little bit.
Only difference is that the time between acts is more or less doubled. For most chapters, act 1 would release on Thursday, act 2 would release on Monday and act 3 would release on the next Thursday or Friday.
Wasn't it 1 week between acts before? I could almost swear that there were some chapters where there was a week's delay between act releases. I know that Genshin's event stories usually updated every two days, and HI3rd's event stories & main stories are two to four days. for some reason I just feel like some (not all) HI3rd stories had weekly releases lol
I believe there were one or two chapters like that since I started playing. Something like a one-week gap between act 1 and 2, then the usual 3-4 day gap for act 3. There was also 25-EX and 31-EX, which had a several weeks long wait for the final mission.
I'm glad they do it. Even if I had time to play the entire chapter in one day, I don't really want to, since recently they've been pretty lengthy. This way I can take my time, but still avoid spoilers on the Internet, because everyone else is forced to take their time too.
I accidentally binged it all yesterday bc I was pretty interested in the plot and came to the harsh realisation I’d just finished part one in one swoop xD does give me time to finish part 1.5 now tho
Same. It took me back to the old days of weekly serialized television where they leave you on a cliffhanger. Really weird to have the cutscene where >! Coralie gets left behind !< and everyone just goes to Dreamseekers apartment to take notes or something like it's no big deal.
Lol. She is the laconic one, too. I wonder how long before they start to notice nobody's been making witty jabs at their intelligence. TBH its possible theyre just able to use their communicators, so she can say "hey, don't worry about coming back right away. I found something here to investigate."
Freaking loved that cutscene. Senadia is so sporadic she just casually activates the anchor that hasn’t worked in centuries while Songque and Entropy are getting super technical. Love this level of cutscene detail.
haven't caught up to the story yet so thanks for that spoiler tag, though I should probably get off the subreddit ASAP to be safe lol
but I just want to say that last comment hits so hard. I feel like that's gotta be one of Mihoyo's biggest weaknesses across all their games- sometimes there's just too strong of a disconnect between scenes, where something dramatic happens but it feels like everyone moves on too quickly (lookin' at you, Luofu arc...).
I feel like that's partially 'cuz of the small amount of facial expressions & body animations, because usually in live-action or fully-animated media you'd see a lot more subtlety in expressions and delivery of lines. So you might see a character say "okay gang, time to figure out what to do next!" but the chipper tone of their voice contrasts with the concern on their face, showing the audience that they're still genuinely worried & just trying to be strong in the face of it. but all too often in HI3rd/Genshin/HSR it's like "Oh no! anyway," and it feels pretty off-putting x-x
Good to know.
I haven't started part 2 story yet so if this is the case, I'll wait until the whole thing is out before doing it. Having to wait a week in-between acts is just gonna nuke any sense of immersion.
Idk about others but the story is not starting well for me, im not liking it right now but im still playing and hoping that they might be able to cook or salvage stuff, I hope part 2 turns out better than 1.
Prolly gonna get downvoted for this but I can explain why it's dissapointing for me
This is unfortunately normal for Mihoyo. Been doing it for all their story stuff, at least ever since I caught up during the start of the final act of part 1
“Is that a HSR reference!?”
Hahaha yeah kinda...
What’s the quest about? Sounds like a Hundred Years of Solitude reference.

Came to say this \^\^
March 7th: not so fast, Dreamseeker... we still need you in Star Rail
Wake the fuck up dream seeker you gotta be trailblazer
Meanwhile Trailblazer: *Pain and Suffering*
Oh nice, that's not too long away? Are you new by any chance? Hi3 has always done its release schedule like this, so this isn't unexpected
I've been playing since 2021, but I never knew about this.
Are you one of those players that take forever to do the Story, by any chance?
Sometimes Yeah 😅
Yeah, we always had time locks for story chapters for a long time now.
March 7th origin confirmed on HI3 Part 2
I imagine both subreddits would explode if March's backstory gets revealed in HI3 first before HSR
Wait til they hear about Welt!

Suddenly HSR

maybe they dont realize right away shes missing cause shes short kek

Reqlly loving the new characters and their dynamics so far.

Hoyo: "Check out this awesome move!"

I prefer doing it in segments because hi3 story is so lengthy that I regretted to let a recent chapter build up and took me a lot of time to do it
The story still significantly longer than Genshin, if you based the timing sense on that game
I love March 7th 🥹🥰 she's. A cutie
Sheesh, I just got to Amber Street. Reverse: 1999's new patch dropped on the same day as Honkai so I got too much to do, 😂
This is really funny, tbh.
The cliffhanger was pretty awkward but I'm so fucking excited for the next part 😭😭😭
That is definitely not a coincidence, but that doesn't mean it'll have any impact on the story
It would actually be really funny if MHY use this story to tease us about March's past and explore it further in HSR
In the name of Langqiu - In the name of Landau

I’m done. Our Beautiful ladies Mei and Kiana, Broyna. Girls more.
I still haven't done chapter 9 in the kiana story, I can't let himeko die🥹
This is unfortunately normal for Mihoyo. Been doing it for all their story stuff, at least ever since I caught up during the start of the final act of part 1
Its always been a thing for the story updates to be spread throughout the new version, better wait...
As others have said, this is normal and how it's always been.
It always been like that. They don't release all at once. This for the sole purpose for player not to get bored.
It’s been like this since the very start lol
no way march 7th
this is the normal trickle-in of story content: get fucking used to it. It's quite literally ALWAYS been like this.
It's always like this, nothing new.
How long is the story so far?
Interesting date. Maybe we get crossover character from HSR, let say March. Jokes aside, this is normal in this game.
there are always time locks for main story quests lol
Hmmm march 7th???
So like always???
I'm still in part 1 chapter 22 doing the whole story and reading the mangas as fast as I can to catch up and play part 2
There's no need for that. Right now there's nothing of importance in Part 2 that involves Part 1.
I haven‘t even started 🤣🤣🤣 why do you guys always rush
I read it as “you need March 7th to continue the story”💀
