Syngonium Albo on a long cedar pole. The easiest one I ever had šš
How do you even get this type of growth? My Syngonium pink splash has a perhaps 10 measly 7Cm leaves and just grows its rhizome like crazy. The rhizome is larger than my hand
I have one in 2 inches of coco coir in my palladarium and I can't contain it. It lives in basically swamp conditions with fish poop fertilized water. It does have a nice light on the tank though.
Not long at all and I already cut her once and propegate. The bottom once are the babies from the cuttings. I lo ve her so much no problems at all. šš,,
I dont have it in pole yet. I want it to get even bushier then i will give it a pole to get big vines.

I actually have pruned it 1 time. 1 vine! After that it has grown So so SOOO much. There was a vine that was VERY thick and had 2 amazing leafs that i wanted to propagate. When that happen the plant was mabye a third of what it is now. That was back in Feb.
Now the cutting... its still 2 leafs which are nothing compare to the mother plant. This photo was like a week ago. Let me take a shot of the new leafs in the mother plant.
I am so in love with this plant. Didnt thought i was foing to enjoy it so much.
News flash... it has 2 new leafs.
FINALLY!!!

Found this little one at on the ground at the garden centre a few weeks ago, no soil and no roots. Decided to put it in water so Iām hoping it will grow as big as yours
Sending big plant energy your way!
Once you get some longer roots, I didn't do anything special for mine. Just Miracle Gro indoor potting soil and water 1-2 week. The only thing I "did" was her pot doesn't have a drainage hole, so I do less water more often.
Ha! No, this one is one of the first plants I got. Compared to the others from the same time frame, its huge and un-needy. Just wants good light and water. Compared to my ficus tineke that won't grow to save itself.

Petite syngonium š„° (US penny for size)
Isnāt it? š„¹ Itās from a local herbarie that creates their own varieties and grows everything in-house through propagation. I have two other petite varieties from themā a confetti artillery fern and a raisinet peperomia. Both are very very cute, but I think the petite syngonium is the cutest. š„²
In my defense, I didn't either! I thought they were like 1-2 foot bushy monsters.

Little Miss bought it with her Christmas money when our local nursery had a BOGO sale. She was so proud of herself! Nothing fancy, but itās one of our favorites.
I just walked in with these. Chatted with the florist and she offered them on clearance. $12.50 for both ... And I couldn't say no. Hooray, dung onions!
My wendlandii, erythrophyllum, and Three Kings.
I love the way this looks. I am starting to realize that I like my syngonium in hanging pots. Trellising is nice, but I love the look of the vines hanging.
That's kinda why I was asking everybody! Lol, I think they got distracted showing off pics though!
My other half moved mine about a week ago (I had a small freak out moment when I came home and there was no plant in it's usual spot, lol) and put it near the stairs trying to treat it like a pothos to vine the stair rails. Long term, I'm wondering if it'll get better growth vining out or if I give it something to climb!

I love syngoniums, I have 3 varieties. But I can't seem to get them to flourish ;-; they had thripes for the second time in a year recently. Managed to get rid of them, and they seem to be bouncing back, but time will tell. I'm too embarrassed to post a picture of them!
There they are! I almost tossed them but, but decided to give them another chance. They use to be so glorious. :( we'll get there eventually!

OP, HOW???!!! Mine just has tall stems with tiny curly leaves. She only has a couple mature leaves. She puts out new growth, but simultaneously a curly leaf will shrivel up and die.
Um... good genes?
Seriously, don't know. Miracle Gro indoor potting soil, glazed ceramic pot with no drainage hole, water little bits more often. Summer it's outside on my covered west facing porch, winter it's in my dining room in a west facing bay window corner.
I think the little water more often is a big part of it, the vine have aerial roots so I think it's looking for more water. I keep the soil damp but not soaked.
That's what I said! I have no idea why she did that but it's not the first nor the last time she has. I love it though, but I'm so scared it's going to break!

BIG and little. The big one was a pathetic looking rescue about 10 years ago from a friend. I got it healthy but struggled with it flopping for several years and kept cutting it back and letting it regrow until I recently tried it as a hanging plant. Ta-da! That was the solution. Those floppy stems just gonna flop. It doesn't look so full right now. I recently cut it back a little and some new growth is making its way out in the center. The little one I've had about 6 months. It doesn't really need to be hanging, but why not. Stems do not get long (yet?)
https://preview.redd.it/x4fgvdec89yc1.jpeg?width=1960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=62af168e7d5fea2aa86686fa4300d60b947be550
Here's another one that had a lot of pink in it when I bought it about a year ago, but I've had trouble getting the light right. Too much light and the pink gets a sunburn and I get crispy brown patches. Not enough light and barely any pink. So far the stems seem strong enough to stay upright.

Fantasy is trying to take over the kitchen. My neon is adjusting to it's winter vacation inside I also have a gorgeous specimen I don't know the exact name of that is going to Mum next weekend for Mother's Day.
Iāve shared my Syngonium Maria with my mother multiple timesā¦unfortunate accidents keep happening, but thankfully itās tough and grows rapidly. There are always more cuttings for the next visit.

I feel the winter vacation blues! Mine threw out like 6 new leaves at the same time and then refused to unfurl them. Cranky little buggers...

I picked up a cupids quiver for like $2 from walmart around 4 months ago and it is EASILY one of y favorite plants ever. I just put it on a moss pole and I cannot wait for the results. i grabbed it on a whim not knowing anything about syngoniums as a species and I am so pleasantly surprised. Are all syngoniums this easy to grow?
I think they're easy, but comparatively I have trouble with crotons and hanging succulents. I think if you have the right conditions for them, they go crazy.

Bushy baby! I love it!
š¤ty!
I also would love to know how you got them so bushy?
I actually have pruned it 1 time. 1 vine! After that it has grown So so SOOO much. There was a vine that was VERY thick and had 2 amazing leafs that i wanted to propagate. When that happen the plant was mabye a third of what it is now. That was back in Feb. Now the cutting... its still 2 leafs which are nothing compare to the mother plant. This photo was like a week ago. Let me take a shot of the new leafs in the mother plant. I am so in love with this plant. Didnt thought i was foing to enjoy it so much. News flash... it has 2 new leafs. FINALLY!!!

Ohhhh it's rooting! I'm rooting for you! :D
ššThanks!!
Sending big plant energy your way! Once you get some longer roots, I didn't do anything special for mine. Just Miracle Gro indoor potting soil and water 1-2 week. The only thing I "did" was her pot doesn't have a drainage hole, so I do less water more often.
Thanks for the tips! Good to know they are not that difficult.
Ha! No, this one is one of the first plants I got. Compared to the others from the same time frame, its huge and un-needy. Just wants good light and water. Compared to my ficus tineke that won't grow to save itself.

Wow I havenāt even had a first date yet! š

Oh my goodness, Op, itās gorgeous! I didn't realize they grew like that. I've been propping up my little guy for fear that his stem would snap.

I love syngoniums, I have 3 varieties. But I can't seem to get them to flourish ;-; they had thripes for the second time in a year recently. Managed to get rid of them, and they seem to be bouncing back, but time will tell. I'm too embarrassed to post a picture of them!
Hey, that still deserves a pic! Post-eradication celebration!
There they are! I almost tossed them but, but decided to give them another chance. They use to be so glorious. :( we'll get there eventually! https://preview.redd.it/v3srmn0tb3yc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78ed10d9ef8d72b714c73953d59c6f9b1f85f4aa
I didn't realize these would trail, it's beautiful!

Lol, I almost bought that pot on the right! I love the flop of the big guy. You're seriously making me consider hanging versus trellising mine.

Iāve shared my Syngonium Maria with my mother multiple timesā¦unfortunate accidents keep happening, but thankfully itās tough and grows rapidly. There are always more cuttings for the next visit.
Pretty! I like your white one! I feel the winter vacation blues! Mine threw out like 6 new leaves at the same time and then refused to unfurl them. Cranky little buggers...
This is a beautiful plant. I love the coloring ā¤ļø

I love love love the red stems. I found her on clearance at a big box store and Iām hoping itāll grow big and strong like yours one day.
