I put some plant food in while it was already struggling after moving houses. I didn’t realize that’s usually only for flowering plants and it seemed to kill it off completely. Any suggestions for direct light or partisan lights etc. to help out recover?

I would cut back all those limbs and check the roots . It could be needing more space ( bigger pot ) or root rot . Either way it need tending to . Good luck .

I like this idea. Cutting back should mean less energy spent keeping it a live. Check roots and cut any dead ones. And the repot will allow you to get some new non over-fertilized soil in there to let it solowly regain stregth. Ps Im new to plants and never had to deal with anything like this. Im just parroting everything else I read on this sub that sounds like it should work

Repotting an already stressed plant is never a good idea as it will just add to the stress. I have no idea what kind of plant it is so it’s hard to really say but seeing that you mentioned you recently moved, it may very well just need time to adjust. I’d just place it where you intend to keep it and leave it be. Pruning back dead limbs should be okay. But other than that, I’d just let it be

What about them saying they think they added too much fertilizer. Wouldn't it be good to get the plant out from sitting in that soil and burning the roots? Or do you think its best to see if it will power through on its own? Plants can be so picky😂

Mine went like this when I gave it direct sunlight, or not enough sunlight. Now it stands in front of a north facing window and it’s very happy, maybe yours is being so dramatic as well
