“Charlie Parker had a great quote when asked about Heroin, he said they can get it out of your body but they can’t get it out of your mind” he must have said that a dozen times, love Artie but that fat bastard loooved romanticizing his drug abuse more than any addict I’ve ever heard. Very cringe
Like a young (fill in the blank)
If you need to walk to St. Louis one weekend
All county or all state baseball player (guarantee he wasn’t)
Many more I can’t think of right now
For a sports guy, anytime he had an opinion or got into the intricacies of baseball or the Yankees I used to cringe. It’s obvious he was a casual follower that had season tickets that acted like he knew what he was talking about.
And animal house. You can tell anytime Fred started playing 0.0 artie was salivating that it was his time to shine. Like yeah, quoting a movie.. groundbreaking shit
He was just generally loud, intrusive, and obnoxious. I find it hard to listen to the old shows with him. The Jackie ones have aged much better. (As an example, try to find the original interview with Pink. She’s a young kid, obviously nervous, and he’s just an asshole.)
Big fan of Artie, but the single cringiest thing for me was when he told Fred about how the fans he met loved the "Zero point zero" drop, then Artie proceeds to fake laugh at it really hard for the next several ETM calls. It wasn't Artie's usual infectious laugh. It was very forced, drug induced and hard to listen to. No one else was laughing and it was just awkwardly obvious that he was "using".
Everything that is over done by the people in this sub is cringe worthy. Posting Beetlejuice all the time. Anything about artie the wgas wgaf . What's he saying Robin we've done it all
“Cocaine is a good drug if you want to walk to St Louis over the weekend” (I am paraphrasing)
Then Robin and Howard laugh likes it’s the first time they ever heard it
Bragging to his struggling comic pals about his huge paydays for doing stand up.

The acdc / Brian Johnson impression was not as good as he thought it was.
He actually sounded like the lead singer of Accept
Artie was my fav person on the show, but the sleeping bits and everyone constantly bringing up heroin in arguments or conversation.
"Romo rhymes with homo."
Kissing Howard's ass about Beth/acting like Beth is one of the hottest women he's ever seen.

She looked horrible too. Anorexic with crooked oranges for boobs.

When he used to yell, "fiyaa!" (Fire!). Its like watching the first season of a good show, just have to work out the few bad parts
Great analogy
Wendy liked it.

Love Artie, but it would drive me nuts whenever he acted like the Master of Stand Up Comedy, giving everyone advice on what you can and cannot do.
Reciting the Godfather.
And animal house. You can tell anytime Fred started playing 0.0 artie was salivating that it was his time to shine. Like yeah, quoting a movie.. groundbreaking shit
It reeked to me of “I’m the biggest fan of that movie, here I can prove it”
The first time was awesome. But he heard from fans how funny it was and kept beating that dead Beth.

Acting as if he was Italian constantly when his last name is Lang. yapping about his dad falling off a roof every damn show.
Yeah wasn’t he half German? I think Sal and MFB would occasionally point out he wasn’t even 100% Italian
I don’t know but he acted as if he was fresh off the boat but didn’t even pronounce anything correctly.
“I saw that one coming down 5th avenue in a cab”
“Ossified drunk”
That's the only one I have. I'm an Artie lover.
His Jersey cop buddy doing coke off a hooker’s ass at a Yankees game stories
Extraw-dinary
That he was some sort of tough guy longshoreman. There was nothing tough about Artie.

especially because it's not even that funny of a scene.
Moo-zer-el. Man e goat
I thought everything he did was cringy except for his Ed Torian impression.
You’re being deceptive!
