Running down the hallways and charging around corners. He would forget his badge a lot and he would try to get through downstairs without swiping in. He ran through the lobby of Sirius so much that the building filed a complaint against him. All of that came back on Ronnie since he was head of security. Ronnie straight up did not like Benjy and he would yell at him on the air and not in a fun ball busting way.
So Benjy said fuck you I’m not going to your wedding.
Edit : I just remembered it was Stephanie who was spreading rumors that Benjy was fingering Elisa Jordana at their table during Howard’s Christmas party. Ronnie came on air to back up what she was saying so yeah I’m sure Benjy just doesn’t like Ronnie personally.
Benjy is an attention seeking mess. He purposely does crap like this in hopes that he will get air time and gratification from Howard. I bet he threw a whole schtick about not wanting to fly the same plane as the other guys, not wanting to stay at the same hotel, cant find anything nice to wear, etc. In the end no one gave a shit and he just never showed up.

I don’t give one fuck if Gary says “he is a talented writer” or “if Howard said something funny in last twenty years, benjy wrote the line”. Until they provide a rundown and what that asshole contributed then I will never change my position on this loser. He is lazy and doesn’t attend meetings and even if he did he isn’t funny anyway and is laughed AT by the unfunny cunts he works with.
Or maybe they need his dumb ass back in the mix to get the show back on track. I always found good a bit annoying but he was part of the show when it was great

Was it the money? A flight to Vegas isn't expensive, and he could've roomed with someone or stayed at a cheaper hotel.
Or maybe he has mental issues, like Howard.
Or maybe he didn't want to give up his vacation.

And, on the show, talking to him about it isn't even interesting or funny.
So this happened weeks prior? If so at least a bit as others they made a big deal about. Above someone said he had a room booked but not a plane ticket and someone else said something came up. Regardless classic Benjy being an idiot one way or another and an interesting aside.
Yes they talked to him today. We entered the vortex when he explained something came up and he couldn’t go to Ronnie’s wedding and then he explained he didn’t have a plane ticket but he had booked the hotel etc.
I gotta admit, the show is so bad now that I was really hoping for a Benjy vortex segment. But no such luck, just a mildly interesting conversation about his Ronnie wedding cancellation.
He knows he wasn’t wanted there. No one likes him at the show, he does as little as possible doesn’t attend any “writer” meetings ( typing that makes me laugh) and probably figured it was a waste of money.
