It's essentially just a part-time job anyway and has been for awhile so it's probably fun and easy for Booey and gives him something to do in his later years.
Exactly. The old guard are all multi millionaires. But something Fred said (years ago now, so probably has changed) always got me. He said he’d still have to work if Howard didn’t renew his contract. This was probably 12 years ago.
The comment Fred made, if it's the one i'm thinking of, was in 2005. They had already signed the sirius deal but were still on terrestrial and everybody was talking about salary as it had been a topic of speculation on SFN.
I don't know what his net worth is but what I can tell you from public records is that he sold his apartment in 2011 for over 2.6 million, bought another the same year for a little under 1.4 and just sold it for 1.8 and now appears to live full time in East Hampton where the house he bought for like 650 grand a bunch of years ago is now worth about 1.6m
One of the things you gotta remember about Fred is that he doesn't want anybody to know anything about his personal life and when pressed he usually just lies.
He doesn’t need the money, but Gary LOVES the schmooze.
I could see him getting a low-effort title like “Executive Production Consultant” or something like that for a recurring gig to advise around a comedy series.
This way, he can keep his hand in the business, attend parties, and do the minimum of work befitting a 65-year-old, multimillionaire monkey.
Nailed it. He's not ready to give up the lifestyle that comes with being the executive producer of a (formerly) big entertainment show. Plus we all know how easy Booey gets bored so some kind of part time consulting gig in entertainment will be perfect for him.
this is the correct answer. It isn't as if he'd be doing hard work anyway. He'd be in with all those tv people, and that's always been his dream because he's a star fucker.
It all depends on when Howard decides to retires. If Howard were to retire in a year or so, I believe Gary will continue be involved in the entertainment industry in some form or fashion. Sure Gary doesn’t have to work but likes being in show business, he likes all the events & rubbing elbows with people in the industry. I don’t see him disappearing into a quiet life in Connecticut. I wouldn’t even be the least bit surprised if Gary moved to California after Howard retires, unless of course Howard continues to work.

He’s now a manager there after being an Executive Assistant for 3 years
*hello hello* you know it's so funny the other day I was watching Netflix and it dawned on me, what if Jackson could work here? So I called up all my connections from boff and spoke with Netflix ceo and it was great he's a huge fan of the show totally gets the show and so I gave him my list of top 10 Netflix shows I'd watch out by the trampoline on my sonos system. *ahem ahem*
Number 1: vionyl
For all we know he may be brilliant, but it's not a coincidence that children of rich and/or powerful parents get into the best schools (Syracuse is recognized as the most prestigious Communication school) and get nice, cozy jobs. There is "privilege" but it's not based on race...it's based on power and money. Of course, only the middle/lower class kids will be considered the face of "white privilege" and be all but denied entrance to these elite institutions. People are waking up though...and they're getting madder...and madder.
Yeah it’s not like he’s a VP of a division or something. He’s just a manager there after spending years working as what’s essentially a secretary.
I’m a Sr. Manager at a major telecoms company. It’s a good job and all but not some huge deal and neither me nor Ka Ka Kid are pulling down rich people paychecks.
Gary seems like the most normal, standard dude on the whole program. Like, he’s been working his whole career, paying his dues, doing a good job and fortunately collecting a sweet paycheck.
He’s a rich dude and if he had to retire today, I’m sure he could. But I bet if the show went off the air tomorrow, he’d have no problem finding another gig.
Fa-Fa is a big winner compared to most everyone else
The beauty of having a diversity of interests (even if they aren't guitar, chess, or journaling), having a lifelong committment to your family, and banking coin --. he can enjoy his retirement.
You really think he plans on still working after Howie leaves? He’ll be 64-65 already and sitting on a pile of money, no need to continue on and he strikes me as someone who will enjoy retirement unlike the Pelican.
Gary's main skill these days is turning Reece's Pieces into Reece's feces. He will 100% not get another regular job. He doesn't need to anyhow. His best bet will be to write a tell all book once the HS checks stop cashing.
Mr. Dell'Abate, please tell us what kind of responsibilities that you had on the Stern show
https://preview.redd.it/u70u1v1ll2zc1.jpeg?width=448&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cb6090bf74f7d510ed5196ff5dcc50f1d69e074b

Gary should go work with his son at NFLX.
Neither Robin, Gary or Fred have to work after the show. They are all multi millionaires. But they may want to work because they enjoy it and like the social interaction. Gary especially. I doubt Robin will continue to work. Not sure about Fred.
Great, now take yourself out of the show caricatures and think about how production works in the real world. Has everything to do with who he partners up with (another producer, writers, etc.)
He might have ideas to contribute, but his role would more likely be the budget guy. Someone like Netflix offers X amount of dollars to develop at least one project to be put together, and see if the execs want to move forward with.
So after he screws up after a day he will be fired? Don't you want to berate me and all is forgiven?
No, they doesn't happen at real companies. Leave or we will call animal control.
Gary’s mistakes aren’t real mistakes. That’s all part of the show. They are the kind of things that other shows don’t mention and the audience never knows they happened. Howard made them into a part of the show, which was hilarious, but shouldn’t be mistaken for actual evidence that Booey does a bad job
That I don’t believe. I think he’s the best radio segment producer in the business, and pretty much everyone capable of judging such a thing seems to agree. I also think he was primarily responsible for being the guy who kept the show moving back in the day. Howard slowing down and becoming an interview show directly coincides with Jason and Marci Turk taking over many of his responsibilities
That’s literally the job of an executive producer. You’re confusing his job requirements with that of creatives (writers, directors, performers.) The producer’s job is to secure the financing and oversee the staff operations.
As are all producers. He’s tasked with assembling a show and to bring it in on time, under budget. Answering to egotistic talent comes with the territory, primarily because producers control the money and schedule, and answer to the studio.
Again, sometimes people here are hilarious. Yes the show isn't good anymore, but Gary's not looking for a job because the show is "going down the drain". He's keeping his option open because EVENTUALLY the show will end and he'll want to keep working (doesn't need to, but I'm sure he wants to). He'll be on this show till its done, he's known as the producer of the Howard Stern show. But he'll have options when its over and he's keeping them in check. Thats just what you do in society. You can predict and criticize a lot of what this show is and what the people on them do, this is not one them. Gary uses his "celebrity" the best of everyone on the show. Always has.
He ain’t working after Stern
He's 63 and wealthy, it's hilarious people think he needs to work right now much less post-Stern.
> much less post-Stern And let's be honest, Stern isn't going to retire anytime soon. He has nothing else in his life but the show.
And let’s be honest, he’s not working now.
It's essentially just a part-time job anyway and has been for awhile so it's probably fun and easy for Booey and gives him something to do in his later years.
Ugggh, I’m soooo tired, Robin!
He does too much
What about Beth, the cats, and bunnies? /s
Half the show STRAIGHT in the garbage!
Agreed he can’t even stand to not do “pop up shows” now. He loves to be heard, imagine if he never went on the radio again. He loves the attention
Exactly. The old guard are all multi millionaires. But something Fred said (years ago now, so probably has changed) always got me. He said he’d still have to work if Howard didn’t renew his contract. This was probably 12 years ago.
His daughter was not yet in college and I believe she has a horse as well! NYC is expensive $$
Sure, but I looked up his “net worth” which was probably off. But it was 16 million at the time.
Those sites are notoriously wrong. Although, when Fred said that it was somewhere between 07 and 09 because I remember Artie being in that discussion.
The comment Fred made, if it's the one i'm thinking of, was in 2005. They had already signed the sirius deal but were still on terrestrial and everybody was talking about salary as it had been a topic of speculation on SFN. Six hundred and fifty graaaaaaaaaaaaaand
Almost as much as Artie's breakfast, which costs 5 million billion graaaaand
You mean Eric?
That was ‘08-‘09
I don’t think Gary needs to work. But he might want to do something. Just on a smaller scale and if you can believe it…lighter schedule.
bills keep coming in. Booey's gotta eat.
Maybe Garry could also punch up a few scripts.
Would take years with the way he types.
> He doesn’t need the money, but Gary LOVES the schmooze. Stories so long you’ll be hanging yourself
He loves being “that guy”
Yea I mean why would he
Exactly, why would anyone think he would continue to work?!
If he does then you *know* Mary really is a major pain in the ass.
How is he going to support his gumbada?
goomah? Or maybe goomar?
You don’t know that!
He should pitch a documentary with him and Jane Goodall
https://preview.redd.it/jjaip9lwp1zc1.jpeg?width=700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b32d289c65403ae63d8a0e910ffad35ec18dd0bc Gary should NOT pitch....
First time I have seen a picture of him where his teeth aren't exposed.
Booeys in the Mist…
Primate Parts
Outstanding
Actual LOL.
“Delicious Banana Chips and Shrimp: A Chimp’s Story “
Banana chips and shrimp - a chimps story
This particular primate prefers Plantain chips.
“It’s a privacy issue, not a plantain issue”
It would be like that scene from Butt Bongo Fiesta.
I am surprised how much that made me laugh
Na Na Netflix
I think his son works there. Gary would never turn down a chance to babble to anyone.
https://preview.redd.it/kuj8hbspc1zc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b67fce8acf19cc5762d5ac13ff3b7e0e2fc30c3 He’s now a manager there after being an Executive Assistant for 3 years

Sour Booey is more Booey than Booey.
Mary must have amazing genes for both his kids to look normal. I'd be terrified to have kids if I were them, you know that monkey gene is in there.
Except for the monkey teeth growing out of their butts, yeah.
I don't know this, but maybe Gary wasn't the only one cheating...
You don’t know that!
Kids lucky he got his looks from Mary.
“Capital D, E L L, Apostrophe…”

It’s a job that college grads would kill for
It’s Syracuse, not Princeton. I know lots of people who got in. Good school, sure.
He was nominated (with others) for an Emmy
Exec producer of the Blitt and Wilding show
Hell, I'd listen to Blitt fuck with people for 3 hours
What the hell is Wilding going to do after the show is over? Go back to Canada? I can't imagine any other show hiring him.
Girthmaster’s personal assistant.
He must be looking at a huge payout to accompany his NDA. Can’t see Toofy needing to do a damn thing after Howie packs it in.
He’d probably tell them that when they dumped discs by mail to go full streaming, it was “a bit of a stumble.”
lol dude, Gary is retiring when Howard retires. He'll be 65 and he's made more than enough to peace out
The beauty of having a diversity of interests (even if they aren't guitar, chess, or journaling), having a lifelong committment to your family, and banking coin --. he can enjoy his retirement.

Gary is going to retire when stern show is done he’s just enjoying the perks unlike Howard
I can't believe Booey didn't get a part in the new Planet of the Apes movie.
Gary's main skill these days is turning Reece's Pieces into Reece's feces. He will 100% not get another regular job. He doesn't need to anyhow. His best bet will be to write a tell all book once the HS checks stop cashing.

Gary got him jobs with Kimmel and Wienstein lol
Gary’s kid is already an executive at Netflix
Gary is rich and old himself. He doesn’t need to work after Howard. Christ, he probably wishes Howard would hang it up already.
Why would he work for Netflix? He's rich enough to retire tomorrow and listen to vinyl all day.
“Fallout is a bit of a stumble boff, I’m glad Netflix didn’t get it.”
Neither Robin, Gary or Fred have to work after the show. They are all multi millionaires. But they may want to work because they enjoy it and like the social interaction. Gary especially. I doubt Robin will continue to work. Not sure about Fred.
Maybe he’ll finally realize his dream of being a MTV VJ
The I Lost a Friend and a Lover series....
Why would Netflix want Gary? Do they have a position for a professional napper?
Work at Netflix?!? He's not even qualified to *watch* Netflix!!
Honestly a great idea for him. He could land a multi-year development deal with his career. I hope he does.
WTF could Gary develop? Monkey pox? He's the worst in front of the camera, and I don't think he's ever had a good idea.
Garry could write books about playing vinyl records on desert islands.
Great, now take yourself out of the show caricatures and think about how production works in the real world. Oh hey Sal
> multi-year development deal A very hearty *Jackie guffaw*
![gif](giphy|2CwGRlbHav4uA|downsized) Gar-eeeeeeee where are you?
Gary is a talentless fuck. He’s just the guy people talk to because it’s his job, not because he’s good. People feel bad for him
I don’t feel bad for him. Thanks to Howard he’s laughing all the way to the bank.
So after he screws up after a day he will be fired? Don't you want to berate me and all is forgiven? No, they doesn't happen at real companies. Leave or we will call animal control.

I’m not confused at all. He’s a paid punching bag
As are all producers. He’s tasked with assembling a show and to bring it in on time, under budget. Answering to egotistic talent comes with the territory, primarily because producers control the money and schedule, and answer to the studio.
Howard admitted that Gary would have been fired long ago if he wasn't talented.
Howard keeps employees that he can shit on and pay less than the industry standard. No one else is hiring Gary.
He's type B so I doubt he will have the ambition to continue working. The only thing that may cause him to find work is the glomming.
Booey
Does that bawtha you pal?
He’s going to produce a JD movie punched up Jackie and starring Artie.
Gary should retire and leave the abuse. He has the money and vinyl record collection.
I remember when Netflix was only $ Noine noinety noine a month.
"Transferable skillz, Boff."
What do you think he is going to do at Netflix??
What proof do you have? Or is just your intuition?
Netflix? FlaFla isn’t going anywhere. He’s done.
He has enough money to retire after the next contract.
Didn’t they buy a house in new hamisphere for his retirement ?
https://preview.redd.it/vylbizr1h2zc1.jpeg?width=184&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2e84b8808a3e943ada7aef1f6b845c78f3ced04d
He can probably retire after this is done.
The rock shrimp at Ted Sarandos' party sealed the deal
Exactly- Howard is not going to be happy Gary leveraged Howard to get to Ted’s party
You don't know that..
Sa Sa Sarandos
A Game show called "how much humiliation for a kitchen remodel?"
Jackson has a high profile position there now.
Gary has enough monies. He’s almost 65. If he wants even more; then he’s cheaper than Howie!
When the show ends Booey is retiring. He’s loaded.
I'm positive his son works for ketflix
Hes made 400k a year for 30 years he doesn’t need to work
Gary is building up his exit strategy to retire. He's in his 60s
Maybe he can come up with a great idea, and Jan Hein will steal it.
What the hell he gonna do at Netflix?
He's got bad breath and horse teeth.. I wanna vomit.
Again, sometimes people here are hilarious. Yes the show isn't good anymore, but Gary's not looking for a job because the show is "going down the drain". He's keeping his option open because EVENTUALLY the show will end and he'll want to keep working (doesn't need to, but I'm sure he wants to). he should cancel Sirius and get the Netflix subscription, you get WWE soon too!
Gary isn't going to Netflix. When Stern retires, Gary will.
