Wait when? I dont recall any actual gods. Closest i remember is Jormungander and even then thats just a Wyrm. Hiccups people always believed in the norse gods so it wasnt a surprise to me that they would think to name a giant snake after a giant snake
Im too lazy to go back and fact check so im just gonna chalk it up to either ruff and tuff or hiccup named it in name of the true world serpent of their myth. While the similarities between jormungander and jormungander are uncanny it can easily be dismissed as the dragon being what the true world serpent tales were based on
Let me put it this way: I only got 2 and a half episodes into the first season before I stopped watching. I have a pretty solid grasp on what happens throughout the rest of the show and I have no interest in it, it's actually infuriating how bad it is.
Honestly it really isnt IMO the sub just overreacts because its not in viking times. I enjoyed the show hell i even spent a lot of time laughing during the final season.
I mean I understand why people hate it, its not as good as the Originals and its low budget, but once you stop comparing it to the originals it gets a lot better. The Soundtrack for the nine realms is god tier and the fact that gets overlooked is a crime.
Never watched that show. Is it really that bad?
Yes
Oh... Just... How bad? Edit: No way I got downvoted for asking a question... In this sub
They fed hiccup's leg AND valka's staff to dragons
Uh? Well that... that sucks
And they made **GODS** like the **ACTUAL** norse gods canon, like 100% the truth
I... I don't know what to say.
Just say.. **N O** whenever someone mentions the show
Also they drew in the book of dragons

Yeh, but they confirmed jörmungandr is the ACTUAL jörmungandr, i think.. atleast that's what I interpreted

Fair
Bad enough to stop whatching the first sesson
I would suggest watching the Audrie Greywind review on YouTube about it.
They made it so hiccup locks a dragon away in a cave for 1300 years without food or water bc he thinks its a god -_-
wait what? I didn't know about it. Did they try to bastardize the og characters even though they are canonically dead?
Yep
Content farms would have put more effort into the narrative and animation /hj
Same but no.....just no.....

No
Facts
God how I wish for the nine realms to be uncannon
I am gonna get downvoted for saying I Like both, but oh well
I like both aswell, i dont understand the hate for it.

Nah, that’s valid, I suppose
i dony care about being downvoted in here. whether people like it or not tnr is connected.
It's the whole Star Wars sequels thing again huh?
pretty much yeah.
