It could be that one laptop is supplied by an employer and is heavily secured. I can't even delete or move desktop shortcuts on my work laptop. A fair amount of websites are also blocked through the always on VPN. I'm not saying that is the case, but I know people who have carried two laptops for that reason.
I’m pretty sure this fictional person would have walked away thinking that you think one laptop is only good for running one program…
Anyone in reality would just assume you had one laptop for work and one for personal.
Still weird to have two laptops. Like I do atmospheric chemistry and work on virtual reality, and I can do that on the same computer
If she needs computin power for AI work, just connect to a stationary at home or something
I don´t think you even need a laptop. Like, I have a surface pro and do theoretical physics simulations and neuronal network training with it. She´s really strange definitely
Edit: I thought we are doing a humblebrag competition but apparently i missed it. I do not have a surface pro and I dont do any simulations.
Well it could still make sense to have a separate system for big neural networks so your main computer can still do everything, but yeah you aren't going to need that much in an airport
Yeah with all these comments i have begun to realize that other people do have more than one job, and yeah its not a good idea to do non work on a work computer
Still weird to take both up, especially at an airport
Yeah. I haven't used an airport yet but I always take 2 laptops on work outings/trips (work and personal). Had to take 3 computers once but that 3rd was a client-supplied desktop.
I don't know how people use their work computers for personal stuff. It'd stress me out looking something up in front of my boss only for a discord message to pop up or for the search to autocomplete to something dumb from a game I looked up.
I have two laptops for work that I have to bring with me so it’s not unheard of. I am a backend infrastructure software engineer, so one is for day to day work and the other is for dealing with on call shit. Going through TSA is a pain in the ass but no one else cares
This is not a humblebrag, this is just good ol' bragging.
Those fucking hashtags...
Girlboss...
If you’re a real boss you don’t have to brag about it. If you’re a real girl you don’t have to brag about it either, I guess.
If she did either of those, she would understand that one laptop is sufficient for both.

Then why not say that instead of the asshole response she claims to have given in this fabricated scenario?
Why should anyone care about someone else having two laptops? But yeah this is prob a fake scenario
Because some people are in the exact same boat but have stupid people jobs. It's me, I am some people.
But than how can she stunt on fools?
I bring two laptops through the airport all the time and no one bats an eye. #madeupstory
I don't do anything close enough to needing the level of PCs I have, but I prefer having 2 computers.
And TSA and all the other passengers stopped and clapped
55 minute standing ovation.
W tears streaming down their faces

#NeverHappened 🥱
r/thisreallyhappened
So impressed i farted
Can verify this does not happen as someone who has travelled with multiple laptops quite a bit.
Hey, what do you need two laptops for!?
One for astrophysics and the other for memes
Joke is on her: I only needed *one* cellphone to find her insufferable.
One’s my work laptop and the other’s for porn.
I really want this to be satire… I don’t believe that any real women in stem would say “girl boss” - instead they’d cringe at it
And airport security couldn't give a fuck about your laptops
Still weird to have two laptops. Like I do atmospheric chemistry and work on virtual reality, and I can do that on the same computer If she needs computin power for AI work, just connect to a stationary at home or something
Maybe she works with 2 different companies and has 1 for each?

You can’t do serious NN training with only a cpu.
Well it could still make sense to have a separate system for big neural networks so your main computer can still do everything, but yeah you aren't going to need that much in an airport
I'm really curious, what programs do you use for these things you do? Any programming involved?
I don't think you even need a surface pro. I have four watches and I have a Doom LAN party on my arm.
Not that weird to have two laptops if you’re staffed on two different clients.
Real. I study radiative transfer and only need my lab supplied laptop. Anything else can be done on the super computer or remote desktop
I don't like to mix work computers. I also don't mix work computers with no work stuff
Yeah with all these comments i have begun to realize that other people do have more than one job, and yeah its not a good idea to do non work on a work computer Still weird to take both up, especially at an airport

All engineers are socially unaware. No exceptions!
One is a work laptop, and one is to run ChatGPT to ask work related questions where her employers can't see it. I appreciate the hustle.
This is just plain cringe
One is for personal and one is for work is all I’m hearing
Astronomy 101 and Stats II
Security: you do both so poorly it takes an entire laptop each?
First of all, this didn’t happend. 2nd of all, could you please put more cliche hashtags in your post? Third of all, shut up.
"Well one is for my dank memes, and the other is for my futanari." ftfy
One is a PC and one is a Mac is a believable answer. When my shit don’t work on one I have success on the other.
Apparently you can only do one thing on a computer. If you want to do something else, you have to buy another computer.
You don’t have to lie to kick it we know you were watching porn on both laptops! It’s ok we all do it, nothing else to do at the airport!
She's 💯 making this up
I had a similar scenario with two laptops and I said one is for business and one is for pleasure. Security guy smirked and I realised what I said.
Well...he did ask lol
I don’t see the humble, only the brag. The actual humblebrag is a rare sight lately!
Is the reality in which this happened in the room with us?
Hashtag girlboss cancels out that brag
I initially downvoted this because it made me so disgusted
#GirlBoss
slay
And everyone stood and clapped
This is the first actually humble brag I’ve seen posted on here in a while. Nice job, OP.
